82 Year Old Retired Teacher, Ms Li Xiuqing from Sichuan Province, Died from Persecution

82-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiuqing, a retired teacher from Chengdu City Eighteenth High School in Sichuan Province, went to the Provincial Government to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa with her fellow practitioners against the huge pressure from the Party. She was arrested and detained in Nanjiao Park in Chengdu City. Ms. Li Xiuqing died on May 22th 2005 after being closely monitored, threatened, and followed by the "610 Office" for a long time. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xia Linkun Dies After Being Tortured at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City
2005-07-2931-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xia Linkun was from Jilin Province. He was tortured for more than two and a half years in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp with electric batons, "riding an airplane", "massage", punching, kicking, sitting on a small stool, and other physical abuse. When he was released in the summer of 2004, he was so thin that he looked disfigured. He was forced to leave his home to avoid being arrested. His body never recovered from the torture, and he died on the evening of July 15th 2005. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Guo Henghong from Hubei Province Died as a Result of Persecution in 2002
2005-07-29Ms. Guo Henghong, 36, was fired by her company because she persisted in practising Falun Gong. She was arrested three times, and was subjected to shackles, tortures and brutal force-feeding. Ms. Guo was released in June 2001 when the force-feeding made her stomach bleed. She was forced to become homeless to avoid further persecution. Yet she was severely weakened by the persecution and passed away in July 2002. -
Four Elderly Practitioners from Shandong, Inner Mongolia and Tianjin Were Persecuted to Death
2005-07-2960 year old Mrs. Ci Yunling was a practitioner from Inner Mongolia. She had at least 10 different illnesses, which all disappeared shortly after she started practising Falun Dafa. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2001. Authorities from the Chifeng City 610 Office arrested her and held her in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia, where she was forced to do hard labour. She developed mouth cancer and vomited blood constantly. She also developed insomnia. She passed away one year later. -
Constantly Harassed and Pressured, an Older Woman from Hebei Province Died in 2002
2005-07-29Ms. Liu Yufang was a resident of Baoding City, Hebei Province. The local police tried to force her to curse Teacher Li and Falun Gong. When she refused, they beat her. On many occasions, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members also harassed, insulted, and cursed her because she practised Falun Gong. As a result of persecution by CCP perpetrators from the village, town, and county levels, Ms. Liu died on September 25th 2002. She was 95 years old. -
Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms Li Maofen from Shandong Province Dies as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-28Ms. Li Maofen, who was over 60 years old was frequently persecuted by police. She was arrested for handing out leaflets exposing the persecution and she was sent to a forced labour camp where she suffered severe persecution. Following her release the police searched her home many times causing her to be traumatised. Due to the persecution she had symptoms of illness, fell into a coma and she was sent to hospital. Li Maoying died on June 12th, 2005. -
Information on Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Tianjin, Beijing, Hubei Province and Other Locations Who Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-28After the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong, 49-year-old Ms Tian Zhirong went to Beijing in December 2000 by herself to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Later, she was arrested and incarcerated in a forced labour camp. After suffering various physical tortures and mental torment, Tian Zhirong became weak. Even when she was released on medical parole for treatment, the police still frequently harassed her. Her husband was forced to divorce her under the intense pressure. In February 2002, Ms. Tian was again arrested and taken back to the forced labour camp for further persecution. After her term was due and she was released, the police still kept harassing and persecuting her. As a result of the relentless persecution, Tian Zhirong died on June 11th, 2005. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yu Meiying Dies after Son Wei Jianhui is Tortured to Death
2005-07-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Jianhui recovered from a terminal illness through Falun Gong practice. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, he was detained and harassed many times, which finally resulted in his death in September 2004. When Mr. Wei's mother, Ms. Yu Meiying, went to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, she was subsequently arrested. Eventually, following her son's death and her daughter's second imprisonment following a four year jail term, Ms. Yu could no longer stand the sustained attacks on her family, and she died in December 2004. -
Kaifeng Public Security Bureau Kills Practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen and Tries to Avoid Responsibility
2005-07-26Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen was persecuted to death at the Kaifeng Forced Labour Camp. The perpetrators, trying very hard to cover up their crimes, hid the body and refused to allow his family members to examine it. The local authorities pressured Mr. Zhang's family members to cremate his body as soon as possible. Over 100 policemen escorted his body to the crematorium on June 28th. Uniformed policemen and plainclothes policemen monitored the funeral tent every day and searched the relatives and friends who came to mourn for him. They even said that they would turn over the funeral tent if there was any mention of Falun Gong at the funeral proceedings. -
Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hebei and Sichuan Provinces Have Died from Persecution
2005-07-25Ms. Wei Rong was in her 30s. She was a Falun Gong practitioner from Sichuan Province. In 2000, 610 Office staff Zhou Kaiwan and others went to Ms. Wei's residence. They grabbed one of her Falun Dafa books, beat her violently and then took her by force to the Laochi Township. They hung her up from an elm tree for two days while bombarding her with propaganda. After the incident, township government officials went to Ms. Wei's home many times to harass, intimidate and persecute her, causing the relapse of her old illnesses. Ms. Wei died in January 2003. -
Persecution Suffered by Li Peiyi before His Death
2005-07-25Mr. Li Peiyi, 68, and his wife were were taken to a brainwashing centre in 2001. They were held in the detention centre in Linquan County because they refused to give up practising Falun Dafa. After they suffered inhuman persecution there, they were sent to the mental hospital for further persecution. Later, the authorities came to their home to harass them many times. Mr. Li's wife was persecuted to death in 2002. Li Peiyi was persecuted to the verge of death in August 2003 and was sent to the local police station in an ambulance. He lost his memory due to the severe persecution. He often cried. The local police station sent people to his house twice to disturb and intimidate him, and also tried to force him to write the guarantee statement despite his condition. Li Peiyi died in April. -
Tortured to Deformity by Local Police and Forced Labour Camp Workers, Xinjiang Practitioner Ms. Gu Ping Dies Untimely Death
2005-07-2428 year-old Ms. Gu Ping was harassed, detained and severely beaten because she practised Falun Dafa. The brutal torture and abuse she suffered while she was in Wulapo Forced Labour Camp caused her emaciated appearance. She also developed symptoms of liver cancer. She was released in June 2003 but still suffered persecution at the hands of the local police. Her body became extremely deformed by torture. She jumped out of a building and died on December 2, 2003. -
Follow up Report on Ms. Zhang Lianxiu, Who Was Beaten to Death by Police in Henan Province
2005-07-23Police went to her home on June 6th, 2005, asking her son, "Does your mother have heart disease?" Her son answered, "No." Police then asked again, "If you say your mother has heart disease, we will let her return home." After thinking it through her son answered, "Yes". The police quickly had him sign his name on a form, after which the police told him, "Your mother has died." Before her body was cremated, Zhang Lianxiu's daughter saw that her body was covered with wounds. She asked loudly, "Just because my mother practised Falun Gong, you beat her to death?" No one dared to answer her question. -
55 Year Old Practitioner Mr. Liang Xiujun from Hebei Province Dies of Persecution
2005-07-23Mr. Liang Xiujun, 55 years old, lived in Zhuozhou City. He was unyielding in his practice of Falun Dafa and told about the goodness of Falun Dafa to the people he met. He was arrested and detained multiple times and was subjected to intensive brainwashing between 2001 and 2003. At the Nanma Brainwashing Centre, he was forced to undertake heavy labour and had money extorted from him. Due to the brutal torture, he was paralysed when he returned home. -
Practitioner Mr. He Yuanhui from Liaoyuan City Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-07-22Falun Gong practitioner Mr. He Yuanhui from Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in October of 2002. He was tormented so harshly while detained in the Second Prison of Jilin Province that he fell critically ill, losing so much weight that he looked like a living skeleton. After Mr. He was sent home from the prison hospital, he was mentally disoriented and he would often forget to dress or eat, and he eventually died on June 25th, 2005.
