Prison Authorities Force Yuan Qingjiang's Body to Be Cremated Out of Fear of Public Exposure

It has been confirmed that Falun Dafa practitioner Yuan Qingjiang, who was tortured and killed at the Daqing Prison, had already passed away on July 23rd when he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. After Yuan Qingjiang was persecuted to death, the prison staff purposely sent his corpse to the hospital for an "emergency rescue treatment," but what really happened was revealed by the doctor. Afraid of having their crimes exposed, the Daqing Prison staff forced his family members to sign their names for the cremation, threatening that if they refused, they would be charged with hindrance of public duties, and even be extorted several tens of thousands of yuan for medical expenses. -
Information about Six Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioners from Hebei, Liaoning and Shandong Provinces and from Tianjin City Who Died Due to the Persecution
2005-08-1566 year old Ms. Chen Guiying was from Sananzi Village, Weifang City, Shandong Province. She started practising Falun Dafa in 1996, and she benefited a great deal in both body and mind. Her husband was also a practitioner. After July 20th 1999, when Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Chen watched her practitioner relatives, her sister-in-law, nephew and niece, being arrested again and again. Meanwhile she also worried about her two daughters, who were also practitioners, being persecuted. She lived in constant fear. In February 2004, Ms. Chen Guiying's health quickly deteriorated, and she passed away on June 25th. Two days later, her husband also passed away. -
The Details of Mr Yuan Qingjiang's Death in Daqing Prison
2005-08-14Mr. Yuan Qingjiang was abducted on March 7th 2003, and was sentenced to prison. In prison he suffered severe persecution. He was forced to remain standing for 18 days without sleep and was brutally beaten, which caused excess fluid in his chest, difficulties in movement and loss of consciousness. Later he was brutally beaten again. As a result, he coughed up blood, and developed cirrhosis of the liver with ascites and severe emaciation. When his health was in a very dangerous condition, he was taken by the prison authorities to the prison hospital for so-called "treatment" which was, as the criminals put it, the same as being sentenced to death. Finally, Mr. Yuan Qingjiang died on July 23rd 2005. -
63-Year-Old Ms. Qin Qingfang Dies from Persecution at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-13In December 2000, Ms. Qin Qingfang, 63, was arrested for being persistent in her practice of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Her husband witnessed her arrest and was so frightened that he suffered a stroke, losing the ability to speak and also becoming paralysed. With no one else to look after Ms. Qi's ageing father and her eight-year-old grandson, the authorities still sentenced Ms. Qi to three years of forced labour and was thus sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in September 2004 for three years of forced labour. Nine More Practitioners from Shanxi, Gansu and Henan Provinces Persecuted to Death
2005-08-13Ms. Zhang Xiuling was 68 years old, and her entire family practises Falun Gong. They have been brutally persecuted over the past six years. The police publicly humiliated and denounced Ms. Zhang by parading her around the streets with a cardboard sign hanging around her neck. Her oldest son died in the hands of the Fuchen Police Department. Ms. Zhang was arrested many times. Because of the constant harassment from government officials and police officers, Ms. Zhang died in July of 2005. A few days after her death, police from Wangji Town Police Station arrested her older daughter. Her younger daughter has become homeless to avoid the persecution. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners in Liaoning and Hebei Provinces Die Due to Persecution
2005-08-13Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wengui, 71, lived in Hebei Province. At the end of October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal together with his wife and son, but he was taken back. His employer and local 610 Office withheld his salary, imposed fines on him and unjustly sentenced him to prison. The persecutors also withheld his wife's salary and forced her into financial hardship before sending her to a detention centre. The persecutors withheld his son's salary and forced him to go through brainwashing sessions three times, and detained the son for two months. At the same time Li Wengui had to pay for his five year-old granddaughter's living expenses. Under long-term persecution, Mr. Li Wengui died on August 4th 2003. -
Practitioners Beaten to Death at Harbin Prison No. 3 and Tailai Prison
2005-08-12On April 4th 2004, Dafa practitioner Wang Dayuan (former lecturer of the Computing Department of Harbin Industrial University) was beaten to death at this prison. That day, the prison guards enticed four prisoners with shortened jail terms to coerce them to beat Mr. Wang Dayuan. First they broke his arms, then his breastbone. Then they pushed his broken breastbone inside his chest, and subsequently broke Mr. Wang's legs. Even after all this, the vicious prisoners did not stop torturing Mr. Wang. They forced him to crawl, and beat him while he was crawling. Eventually Wang Dayuan stopped breathing. -
Additional Information on the Death of Practitioner Ms. Liu Jie in Heilongjiang Province in 2003
2005-08-12Ms. Liu Jie was killed for no reason, leaving her paralysed father-in-law, her frail and ailing mother-in-law, and her young son with no one to take care of them. No one dared to tell her parents-in-law what really happened. The mother-in-law asked, "How come Ms. Liu has not come home yet?" They had to lie and say that she was sentenced to a prison term. The distressing news caused the elderly lady to lose her eyesight. They sent her to a hospice in Haerbin to recuperate. A year later, she found out the truth by accident and could not stop crying. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners from Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Heilongjiang and Sichuan Provinces Die as a Result of the Persecution
2005-08-12Mr. Peng Dong, 29, was a college graduate. Because he was a Falun Dafa practitioner, he was sent to Zaozihe Forced Labour Camp for two and a half years, where he suffered from brutal tortures. In 2002, because he refused to submit to the Communist Party's demands, Mr. Peng was sent to the isolation room and very heavily tortured. He was tied to the "dead person's bed" for many days. In 2003, after being released from the labour camp, he was sent to brainwashing classes. One night in June of 2005, while he was sleeping, his breathing suddenly became abnormal, and he passed away several minutes later. His family members tried in vain to take him to the hospital for emergency rescue. -
57 Year Old Ms. Zhan Ye'an from Guizhou Province Was Paralysed and Died from Torture in a Labour Camp
2005-08-11Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhan Ye'an was an employee of the Guiyng City Medical Institute in Guizhou Province. For exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa she was arrested and held in the Guizhou Province Women's Labour Camp. She became emaciated and paralysed from torture over a long period of time. She was finally sent home because she was dying at the end of May 2005. She died on June 16th 2005. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chongqing City Ms. Yuan Suxian Tortured to Death and Ms. Liu Fanqin Disabled
2005-08-11Ms. Yuan Suxian was detained in a detention centre in Chongqing City and was tortured to death on July 30th 2005. Details of her death are unclear, pending an investigation. Another Falun Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City Ms. Liu Fanqin has been also detained in the same detention centre because she was involved in exposing the rape case of Ms. Wei Xingyan, a graduate student in Chongqing University. Her hands were badly injured during torture, and she has lost the use of her hands. -
Daqing Prison Responsible for Three Deaths in Three Consecutive Months
2005-08-11On the evening of July 23rd Dafa practitioner Mr. Yuan Qingjiang died from long time persecution by wardens in Daqing Prison. This is the third death in the last three months following the deaths of Wang Hongde and Xu Jishan. After May 1st, the prison aggravated the persecution of practitioners, and over 10 practitioners were forced to hold a hunger strike, for which they were tortured brutally. In early May, Mr. Yuan Qingjiang was tortured for over 10 days, during which he was brutally force-fed. Mr. Yuan then vomited blood and suffered from liver hardening and other illnesses. He was extremely emaciated and had a terrible appearance. -
Fifteen-Year-Old Girl Died After Police Persecuted Her Family in 2003
2005-08-10Police arrested the parents of 15-year old Wang Wei, of Fuyu, Heilongjiang Province. Without cause the parents were illegally arrested, detained and harassed at their home. When Wang Wei returned home, she saw that her parents weren't there and the house was in a state of disarray. The police threatened her and ordered her to give up her practice of Falun Dafa. During the 15 days when her parents were detained, she had to live by herself. Because of this sudden change and the isolation she felt, fear and depression took hold of her. Fear and depression became a sickness, and she became thinner and weaker each day. Before she died, she wanted to see her mother, but the police refused her. In March 2003, Wang Wei, still in her teenage years, passed away. -
The Circumstances Surrounding Ms. Li Baojie's Torture Death Come to Light
2005-08-10Ms. Li Baojie, 34 years old, lived in Liaoning Province. Since she continued to practise Falun Gong after the persecution began, she was arrested by the police many times. In August 2004, she was reported while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. Police officers from Panjin City went to Dalian City and brought Li Baojie and her husband back to Panjin City. Both of them were then sentenced to three years of forced labour and detained in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. After suffering extended indignity and torture, Ms. Li was tortured to death on April 8, 2005. -
Eyewitness Describes the Torture that Led to the Death of Ms. Liu Limei, an Associate Professor at Northeast Agricultural University
2005-08-10“I was one of four practitioners arrested in April, 2002. I was imprisoned along with Ms. Liu Limei in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Hospital. When I first saw Liu Limei, she had already been on a hunger strike for 6 months. She was extremely thin. Her voice was very weak. Once, a police officer was force-feeding her, and I saw her nose bleeding. She was out of breath, but the police still force-fed her. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp.”
