Persecution of Mr. Xue Yujun and His Wife in Mengyin County, Shandong Province

Mr. Xue Yujun and his wife are from Zhao Yu Village in Mengyin County, Linfen City, Shandong Province. The couple were arrested, tortured and extorted, and put into a labour camp. His wife recounts "I spent more than two months in the brainwashing centre. During that period, domestic security agents interrogated and tortured me over and over again. They made me sit on the floor, scolded and beat me." -
Physically Disabled Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Yongsheng Tortured at Mudanjiang
2011-11-22It was recently learned that prison officials in the No. 14 ward of Mudanjiang Prison are using electric batons, the “big hang up,” and solitary confinement to torture Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yongsheng in attempts to force him to give up his belief. On February 18th 2009, the court wrongfully sentenced practitioners Mr. Zhao Buoliang, Mr. Li Haifeng, Mr. Li Yongsheng, etc. to Mudanjiang Prison. They were assigned to different wards and forced to perform hard labour. Mr. Li Yongsheng, who is crippled, is also forced to work gluing eyebrows on dolls. -
Yinan City 610 Office in Shandong Province Has Persecuted Several Falun Gong Practitioners
2011-11-22In the past three months, the staff of the 610 office of (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) Yinan city, Shandong province have harassed and kidnapped several Falun Gong practitioners. The 610 office is an illegal organization tasked with persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. During the past twelve years, the 610 office staff has committed countless criminal acts. -
Mr. Wu Tengpeng from Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2011-11-22District Court in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, secretly tried Mr. Wu Tengpeng on September 21st 2011, after he had been detained for four months. Beijing lawyer Mr. Wang Yajun entered a not-guilty plea for Mr. Wu. After only one round of debate, the prosecutor failed to respond and had nothing to say. Over a month later, the Lushan District Court officials issued a verdict and sentenced Mr. Wu to three years in prison. -
Older Disabled Woman Sentenced to Seven Years of Imprisonment
2011-11-21Ms. Wang Yuluan, 55, is seriously disabled. She was arrested in her home by officers from the Anping County Domestic Security Division in October 2010 for practising Falun Gong. In June 2011 she was sentenced to seven years in prison. A disabled person who can't take care of herself has been put in prison for nearly a year by agents of the 610 office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) because she believes in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. -
Ms. Zhao Chunzhuang Arrested by Agents from the Yongzhou City 610 Office and Police Officers from the Yongzhou City Domestic Security Division in Hunan Province
2011-11-21On October 8th, agents from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Chuzhuang and took her to the so-called Law Education Centre to undergo brainwashing sessions. The 610 Office has set up many brainwashing centres in all over of China. They are often, as in this case, disguised as “Law Education Centres,” which are actually illegal, secret prisons used for brainwashing. Ms. Zhao Chunzhuang has also been brutally persecuted in the Beimalong Forced Labour Camp in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province due to her insistence of belief in Falun Gong. -
Ms. Liu Yingmei, 61, Jailed Four Times
2011-11-21Ms. Liu Yingmei was arrested, sentenced to forced labour, and imprisoned four times. She was inhumanly tortured and forced to do slave labour for nearly eight years during the last 12 years of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. In Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison guards forced Ms. Liu to stand still for a long time and assigned two inmates to watch her. They also did not let her to go to bed on time. In the prison, the detainees started to work at 6:40 a.m., and if they had no outside inspections, they finished work at 9:00 p.m. -
Criminal Inmates Incited to Torture Practitioners in Wuhan City Women's Prison
2011-11-21Guards Wang Juan and Jing Shan have been acting together to persecute Ms. Shi Yingxia in order to try to force her to give up her belief since March 2011. They incite inmates to closely monitor Ms. Shi's every action and words. The inmates order Ms. Shi to work non-stop while verbally abusing her. They also force her to clean the toilet, make the beds, mop the floor and clean the windows. Ms. Shi had to clean everything according to their standards. Several of the inmates slapped Ms. Shi's face and kicked her because she didn't clean certain spots or fold the blankets properly. If Ms. Shi tried to explain, they would only increase the torture. Practitioners suffer from beatings almost every day, including being pinched in the thighs and berated. -
Mr. Ma Guohua, Former Teacher at Northeast Normal University, Sent to Forced Labour Camp; His Family Requests His Release
2011-11-20On September 9th, police arrested Mr. Ma Guohua and ransacked his home. The police charged Mr. Ma with disturbing the public peace and sent him to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp to serve a one-year term. Mr. Ma and his family refused to accept this sentence. Mr. Ma was arrested while at his workplace, and he was not disturbing the public peace. -
Many Citizens from Dalian City Detained at Fushun Brainwashing Centre; Their Family Members Demand Their Release
2011-11-20On October 20th, about 12 Falun Gong detainees' relatives from Dalian City came to Fushun Brainwashing Centre to visit their detained family members. The next day relatives of those detained practitioners came to the Domestic Security Division in Dalian City to demand the release of their family members. People with whom they met used the excuse that the person in charge was out of the office that morning. -
Family Torn Apart as a Result of the Persecution
2011-11-20Ms. Liu Yongfen and her husband Mr. Liu Ying'e have two daughters. They all began practising Falun Gong before July 1999. After the persecution started, Ms. Liu's family has suffered tremendously. Ms. Liu Yongfen, in her 60s, started to practise Falun Gong to help cure her illnesses. In December 2000, she was sentenced to four years in Hunan Province Women's Prison. She served another four years when she was sent to Baimalong Forced Labour Camp in May 2005. As a result of eight years of torture, she was paralysed from the waist down and many of her internal organs were severely damaged. She was released on bail in April 2009 to receive medical treatment. -
Mr. Yang Hongjun and His Wife Wen Lan Sentenced in Foshan City
2011-11-20Because they remained steadfast in their spiritual belief, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Yang Hongjun and his wife, Wen Lan, were sentenced to seven and three years of imprisonment respectively on July 22nd, 2011, by officials from Shunde District Court in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Since they violated no laws, the couple pleaded not guilty during their trial and defended themselves based on the law. The judge nonetheless sentenced both of them and they both appealed. Foshan City Intermediate Court officials upheld the original verdict without holding a public hearing or notifying their family. -
Eight Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted at Baoquanling Farm, Heilongjiang Province
2011-11-19On August 22nd, 2011, Baoquanling Farm police in Heilongjiang Province forced their way into Ms. Li Guiyun's home. They ransacked it, then robbed and beat the residents. Eight practitioners were arrested. During this event, the practitioners tried to explain to the officers that following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance helped people raise their ethical standards, was beneficial to personal health, and was good for society, and that supporting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in persecuting good people could result in retribution. The officers ignored them, beat them, and forced them into their vehicles. One of the practitioners was forced to the ground and another wasn't allowed to put on his shoes. -
Xiangtan 610 Office in Hunan Province Arrests Several Falun Gong Practitioners
2011-11-19Recently, Xiangtan, Hunan Province 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) officials arrested several Falun Gong practitioners, who were then taken to a detention centre, brainwashing centre, or psychiatric hospital. On August 22nd, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Duohong. Informants said that Ms. Wang began a hunger strike to protest the persecution, but was taken to the Detention Centre Hospital, where she was given forced injections of unknown drugs. Police tortured her during their interrogation and forged evidence of crimes against her. -
Ms. Ye Yingchun, Mr. Chen Jianguo, and Mr. Huang Shengwei Sentenced to Forced Labour
2011-11-19Three Falun Gong practitioners from Guangdong Province—Mr. Huang Shengwei, Ms. Ye Yingchun and Mr. Chen Jianguo—were sentenced to Guangdong's Sanshui Forced Labour Camp in September. Police broke into the home of Ms. Ye Yingchun on August 20th. The police arrested her as well as Mr. Chen Jianguo, who had been chatting with Ms. Ye. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a few dozen Falun Gong books, a recorder, a mobile phone, a bank deposit certificate worth more than 1,000 yuan, and the title to her home. Police also ransacked Mr. Chen’s home.
