    Ten years ago, guards shocked Ms. Gao Rongrong on the face with electric batons for over 7 hours, causing blood and hair to stick to her burned skin, and blisters to erupt on her face and neck. Ms. Gao died of torture on June 16th, 2005. She was 37. Her two older sisters now living outside of China share their family's pain with the public in hopes that more people can see through the Chinese Communist Party's brutality and stand up against the senseless persecution.

  • Practitioner Arrested for Browsing Falun Gong Website

    Mr. Jin Biao was arrested and put on trial for browsing Falun Gong websites. This case might shed some light on the communist regime's surveillance of the Internet. The Chinese Internet police, based in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, discovered that Mr. Jin was browsing Falun Gong websites on his mobile phone at his home in Fengcheng City on July 2nd and they arrested him. The Dandong police ordered the Fengcheng police to arrest him.
  • Bakery Owner Dies at Home Soon After Suffering 90 Days of Abuse in Detention

    When bakery owner Wang Haijin was released on July 22nd of this year, he didn't think he'd come home alive. He had suffered unimaginable abuse, including force-feeding, beatings, sexual assault and forced labour, during a 90-day incarceration for his belief in Falun Gong, a self-cultivation practice being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party. Mr. Wang finally succumbed to heart problems. He passed away in the early morning of October 9th, leaving behind his wife and two school-age daughters.
  • Shenyang Entrepreneur Arrested and Tortured for Practising Falun Gong

    Once a successful entrepreneur who did international trade between China and Ukraine, a 47-year-old Shenyang man saw his livelihood crushed by the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Ouyang Hongbo was sentenced to three years in March 2007, just months after he began to practise Falun Gong. By the time he was released in 2010, he had lost his business. He moved back home to care for his 83-year-old father, only to be arrested again four years later.
  • Practitioners Tortured, Disfigured, and Sexually Violated With Burning Cigarettes

    Cigarettes have been used to torture practitioners everywhere on the body and in every which way during the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Xiao Yi, 19, was taken to the Changzhi Mental Hospital in Shanxi Province for further torture. Guards there raped her 14 times over the course of three nights. The guards who raped her burned her nipples, breasts, and genitals with cigarettes, leaving numerous burn marks on her body.
  • Officer Identified as Culprit in Gruesome August Torture Death

    Wu Jilong, head of the Domestic Security Division at Tumen City Police Department, has been identified as the main culprit in the death of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Shuxian. She died the day after her arrest. Local authorities claimed that she had a heart attack, but marks of torture on her body proved otherwise. There were cuts in the flesh on her thighs and burns around her private area. Marks of blood and shoeprints were visible on her back.
  • Looking Beyond the Product Label: Filthy Toothpicks Made by Forced Labour

    In Wangfangdian Detention Centre in southern Liaoning Province, detainees are made to do forced labour for long periods of time. The products they make include toothpicks in assorted colours, the kind often used in restaurants, hotels, and homes. Detainees here refuse to use these toothpicks, as they were produced in terribly unsanitary conditions. Forced labour in these detention centres peaked between 2000 and 2002, when the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong was at its most rampant and a large number of practitioners were detained there.
  • Jiang Zemin Ordered Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong Practitioners, New Evidence Says

    New evidence reveals that Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP),ordered organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. A former Minister of Health for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) General Logistics Department discussed an order from Jiang to start organ harvesting in a September 2014 undercover investigative call.
  • Witness: Mr. Wang Xiaozhong Beaten to Death and His Organs Harvested

    A witness recently revealed that Mr. Wang Xiaozhong was beaten to death and his organs were harvested. Mr. Wang was arrested by officers from the Dongjiao Police Station, now called the Huadian Police Department, on the evening of August 17th, 2001. He was beaten to death 13 days later. The witness saw Mr. Wang's dead body. The person said he saw that Mr. Wang's organs had been removed, that his abdomen was hollow, and that there was a long, stitched-up incision the entire length of his torso.

    Mr. Xuan Chengxi, a 61-year-old farmer from Shandong, was beaten to death a few hours after he was arrested on October 12th, 2000. Falun Gong practitioners have been killed every month since the Communist regime started the persecution on July 20th 1999.
  • A Battle of Life and Death—Former Education Official Recounts Her 10-Year Force-Feeding Ordeal in Prison (Part 1)

    Simply for refusing to give up her belief in Falun Gong, Ms. Li Yushu, a former education official, was arrested on May 19th, 2002 and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Having no other means to appeal her mistreatment, Ms. Li and other practitioners went on hunger strikes as a means of peaceful protest. However, they were punished with force-feeding, a torture method intended to inflict harm on hunger-strikers. Once a healthy woman, she looked like a frail old lady when she was released this May. Three months after she returned home, she still could not manage her daily life because of injuries sustained in prison.
  • Information on Mr. Wang Xiaodong's Death Points to Organ Harvesting

    Mr. Wang Xiaozhong, 36, a Falun Gong practitioner from Mudanjiang City, was arrested at home on August 17th, 2001. The police notified his family of his death 12 days later. An employee of the Xinglong Detention Centre where Mr. Wang was detained said that Mr. Wang was transferred to Beifang Hospital around midnight. His family were told that Mr. Wang died from a brain haemorrhage. According to inside information, Mr. Wang's organs, such as his heart, liver and lungs were removed in the hospital and frozen. There was a long cut from his jaw to his pubis. His arms and legs were purple.

    Ms. Zhou Yanbo once had a satisfying job as head nurse and a happy family. Her happy life, however, came to a halt when the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999. She was arrested five times between 1999 and 2003, and tortured to the verge of death multiple times. She was fired from her job, and her husband abandoned her to avoid being implicated in the persecution. Her family paid huge fines in exchange for her release.
