The Crimes of Dong Zhiming, a Police Officer in the Songshan District of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

Police officer Dong Zhiming has been actively involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. In 2009, he was relocated to the Wusan Police Station in the Songshan District. When he first arrived at the new workplace, he said, “I won't do anything but arrest Falun Gong practitioners.” An acquaintance, Mr. Meng, often visited Mr. Zhang's and knew that Mr. Zhang had a site producing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution at his home. Dong then arrested Meng first, and Meng gave out many names of Falun Gong practitioners. Dong Zhiming ransacked the homes of the arrested Falun Gong practitioners. -
Mr. Li Changrong from Hong'an County, Hubei Province Arrested and Detained Again
2011-11-15Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Changrong has been persecuted many times. He was recently arrested and detained again. Mr. Li was subjected to long-term detention, brainwashing and sentencing. Mr. Li has spent most of the past ten plus years in detention. The Chinese Communist Party agents employed all kinds of persecution methods on Mr. Li; the most heinous is injecting him with unknown substances. Even while being abused so severely, Mr. Li has remained steadfast in his belief in Falun Gong. -
Ms. Yu Qinfang from Chengdu Taken to Brainwashing Centre Again; Husband Tortured to Death in 2009
2011-11-14On October 25th, Ms. Yu Qinfang was again by police for practising Falun Gong. She was taken to the Longquan Brainwashing Centre. In April 2009, Ms. Yu and her husband Mr. Xie Deqing were arrested by officials and police. At the police station, director Liu Chuan and other officers beat and injured Mr. Xie. Mr. Xie was later transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre where he was held for over 20 days before being tortured to death. -
Junan County Teacher Mr. Fu Tingfa Taken to Brainwashing Centre
2011-11-14Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Fu Tingfa was arrested on October 28th. He is confined at a brainwashing session held by the Linyi City 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). This is the fourth time Mr. Fu has been incarcerated. In June 2001, he was arrested and detained at the county detention centre, where guards ordered inmates to beat him. He was released a month later after they extorted 5,000 yuan from him. Six months after his release, he was again confined to a brainwashing session held by the county 610 Office. -
Heilongjiang Women's Prison Had Inmates Torture Practitioner Ms. Yu Qiuyan
2011-11-14Practitioner Ms. Yu Qiuyan of Harbin is 60 years old. She was taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in September 2009. To coerce her to abandon her Falun Gong practice, guards had inmates torture her. She suffered beatings, kicks, bamboo needles driven under her fingernails, standing punishment, torture tools, sleep deprivation, denial of toilet use, force-feedings, forced drug administration, and more. -
Ms. Zhao Lerong Beaten by Guards and Inmates at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2011-11-14The guards at Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province have use many methods to persecute Falun Gong practitioners over the years, including inciting criminal inmates to torture practitioners. Ms. Zhao Lerong, in her 60s, was severely persecuted in July 2011. Although she was very weak and couldn't sleep, the guards still forced her to stand for a long period of time, beat her, and didn't allow her to rest during lunch time. An inmate who monitored practitioners, Ying Junjie, forcibly took Ms. Zhao to the toilet and beat her. -
Ms. Wang Mingrong and Others Tortured to Death in Xinjin Brainwashing Centre
2011-11-13Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Mingrong was arrested and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre around September 7th. (To disguise its true function from the outside world, the brainwashing centre is officially called the “Chengdu City Law Education Centre.”) Ms. Wang died from severe physical abuse and mistreatment around September 17th, less than ten days after being incarcerated. According to a witness, she was subjected to beatings and her body was covered in bruises. Practitioners who died in the Xinjin brainwashing centre include Ms. Deng Shufen, Ms. Li Xiaowen, Mr. Xie Deqing, and Ms. Liu Shenglu. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Zhang Guixia and Ms. Qu Guiying from Fushun City, Liaoning Province Sentenced to Prison
2011-11-13Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Guixia, Ms. Qu Guiying and Ms. Li Honglan have been arrested and sentenced to forced labour several times over the past ten years. Their families have also suffered great pain. On March 9th, 2011 Ms. Qu Guiying, Ms. Zhang Guixia, and Ms. Huang Yaguang were again arrested while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. This time, Ms. Zhang Guixia and Ms. Qu Guiying were sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Li Honglan was detained. -
Crimes Committed at the Hegang City Brainwashing Centre
2011-11-13The Hegang City Brainwashing Centre in Heilongjiang Province started to detain Falun Gong practitioners in January 2011. Practitioners are forced to view videos that slander Falun Gong three times per day, and afterwards they are told to write their “understandings” of the videos. If what practitioners write is not up to the brainwashing centre's “requirements,” the practitioners are slapped, shocked with electric batons, and tortured in other ways including sleep deprivation. -
Qinglongshan Brainwashing Centre Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners Exclusively
2011-11-13The Qinglongshan Brainwashing Centre in Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang province is located in the backyard of the Police Department of Qinglongshan Ranch. To outsiders, they claim that it is a “Legal Training Centre” but the reality is it’s a private prison created by the Heilongjiang Farm Bureau to exclusively persecute Falun Gong practitioners. To date it is already known that Falun Gong practitioners Liu Haibin and Wu Dongsheng are still detained in this brainwashing centre. They were both arrested by the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Wu Dongsheng was arrested and ordered to forced labour twice. After her release she was frequently threatened, followed, arrested and detained by the authorities. -
I Was Whipped with Chains in Shenyang Women's Prison
2011-11-12In August 2007, I went out to distribute Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution with another practitioner. We were arrested. The Taihe District Court sentenced me to four years in prison and took me to Shenyang Women Prison. Guards tried to force me to give up my faith in Falun Gong, but I refused. I was forced to sit on small stool only was three inches wide and one inch high. They allowed me neither toilet use nor sleep. When I became so tired that my eyes closed, guards would whip me with an iron chain. It wasn't long before I couldn't open my eyes anymore because they were so swollen. A guard poured ice-cold water over my head, then continued to whip me. Soon I could no longer stand up, my mind was a blur and my entire body felt paralysed. -
Xie Chaoyan Arrested for Doing Good – Friends and Families Petition for His Release
2011-11-12Mr. Xie Chaoyan and his wife, Ms. Yan Congxi, are well known in the village as honest, hardworking, and good. In their free time from farming, they drive customers around on a motorcycle, and polishing shoes. Because of Mr. Xie's warmhearted demeanour and honest and hardworking attitude, many people are happy to ride with him. But his popularity caused jealousy among his competitors, who reported him to the Wanyu police. They complained that he practised Falun Gong and was encouraging his riders to withdraw from the Party. On September 21st, Mr. Xie was arrested by police. Fellow villagers had great sympathy for Mr. Xie misfortune as they knew the couple to be good people. Ms. Yan has recently collected many villager's signatures to petition for her husband's release. Some villagers even wrote below their signatures, “Mr. Xie is a very good person.” -
Mr. Lv Songming from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province Tortured in Prison for Almost Ten Years
2011-11-12Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lv Songming from Xiangtan is still being tortured at Jinshi Prison in Changde. He is being subjected to brutal beatings and force-feeding of faeces. He was sentenced twice to prison terms totalling ten years. In March 2001, Mr. Lv was detained for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and later sentenced to five years in prison. He was brutally tortured at Chishan Prison; Jinshi Prison; and Wuling Prison. When he was released in 2006, his son didn't recognise him, and his wife divorced him. In 2007, Mr. Lv was arrested while telling people about Falun Gong. Without any reason or evidence, Mr. Lv was sentenced to a five-year prison term, and incarcerated at Jinshi Prison. -
72-year-old Woman Becomes Healthy after Practising Falun Gong But Is Still Persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
2011-11-12Seventy-two-year-old Ms. Zhang Cunmei started practising Falun Gong in 1996 and all her illnesses soon disappeared. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, she has been subjected to detention and extortion. Two of her teeth were knocked out from beatings by local police. In 2005, Ms. Zhang was arrested as she distributed information about Falun Gong, but she was released that same day. In 2011, police harassed her twice in the middle of the night and took away her Falun Gong books. -
Ms. Liu Xiaohua Accuses Police of Torture During Court Testimony in Tumen City, Jilin Province
2011-11-11The court hearing of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaohua began on August 30th, in Tumen City. Ms. Liu had been detained at the Tumen Municipal Detention Centre for more than six months. When her family saw her in court, they could hardly recognise her because she was so emaciated. At 5 feet 6 inches, she weighed less than 110 pounds, which was about 45 pounds less than she weighed before. Ms. Liu said that since her arrest in March by police she was severely tortured. The police interrogated her, not allowing her to sleep for four days and four nights. They poked at her eyes, used water bottles to hit her head, and a lighter and cigarettes to burn her hands. However, the judge ignored her testimony with the excuse that there were no eyewitnesses.
