German Falun Dafa Association Writes an Open Letter to Hu Jintao

"During your visit Germany, we strongly ask you to free the German Falun Gong practitioner, Jiang Renzheng, as well as all Falun Gong practitioners who are illegally imprisoned, giving them back their freedom. Meanwhile, we ask you to bring the arch-criminals who persecute Falun Gong — Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang — to justice and immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong." -

Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Jintao arrived in Germany on the 10th of November. International human rights organisations had a clear message for both outgoing German Premier Gerhard Schroeder and his replacement Angela Merkel: We are clearly expressing our concern about the problem of human rights, which is getting worse in China. -

Sleep deprivation was the preferred method of torture by the C.C.P. Li was put in solitary confinement. As soon as he closed his eyes there would be loud shouting and banging and his eyelids would be forcibly pulled open and a violet light shone into his face. Recordings of people denouncing Falun Gong were played at ear-piercing volumes. His face was brutally slapped and he was kept naked in a cell that was continually hosed down with freezing water. -

UK MPs Sign Early Day Motion Calling for the Release of All Incarcerated Falun Gong Practitioners
2005-11-15On November 8th 2005, UK MP David Howarth put forward an Early Day Motion (EDM 966). The Motion calls for the release from prison of all Falun Gong practitioners and has already received 37 signatures from UK MPs. The Motion also calls for Falun Gong practitioners to be free to practise and supports an end to the discrimination in China that stops Falun Gong practitioners getting employment, something which occurred after former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Jiang Zemin ordered CCP officials to "destroy Falun Gong practitioners physically, bankrupt them financially and ruin their reputations". -
Germany: Practitioners Continue Activities Calling Hu to End the Persecution

Since Hu Jintao arrived in Berlin, practitioners have been holding a continuous appeal to call on Hu to end the persecution. German President Horst Koehler called on China to respect human rights. Before Hu's arrival, Koehler met with Falun Gong practitioners and Amnesty International, asking for their wishes and requests. -
Germany: Human Rights Picture Exhibition ‘Field of Shame’ held in Germany
2005-11-15From October the 26th to the 31st, international human rights organization IGFM held a human rights persecution picture exhibition entitled “Field of Shame” which was displayed in Nord-Rhein Westfalen, Dusseldorf and Gelsenkirchen. For example, every sixth months we have within the EU a special human rights dialogue with China, where we go through an extensive agenda and bring up all the areas where we feel a strong concern regarding how human rights issues are handled in China." -

Sweden: Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong at a Health Fair in the City of Kungalv

From October 28th until November 1st, Public Health Days 2005 took place in the city of Kungalv, Sweden and many activities connected to people’s health were organised. Among other things, a Health Fair was arranged on October 29th and 31st. More than thirty different organisations took part in the Health Fair and Falun Gong was invited as one of the exhibitors. We received a very good and prominent location in the middle of the hall. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Write to MPs Asking for Help to end the Persecution of Falun Gong
2005-11-13"To avoid domestic criticism and international condemnation against the persecution, recently the Chinese Communist regime has taken a softer approach against Falun Gong in the mass media. Though the recent taciturn has replaced intensive attacks in the past, the momentum of the persecution against Falun Gong has never abated whatsoever. Judging from the Chinese Communist regime’s propaganda, on the surface it seems that everything is back to normal, but for the one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners in China, the terror is still there as usual."
