  • Falun Dafa News (Austria): A country choked by propaganda

    The board of the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) announced at the end of last year that it had issued nine new digital channels to TV stations of the People’s Republic of China. Some of the Canadian media, along with various members of Parliament openly disagreed with the CRTC’s decision because the same stations, which are controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), are known to spread slander and hate propaganda against Falun Gong as well as other groups persecuted by the regime.
  • Germany: Practitioners Appeal to the EU to Stop China from Extending the Persecution of Falun Gong to Russia

    On May 14th, 2007 on the eve of the EU-China Human Rights Dialogue in Berlin, international media carried the shocking news that the Russian government, bowing to pressure from the Chinese Communist Regime, forcibly kidnapped and deported Falun Gong practitioner Gao Chunman to China. Mr. Gao, 73, a former professor from Tsinghua University in China. He was granted refugee status by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office in Russia in 2003 and his wife is a Russian citizen.
  • Turkey: Experience Sharing Conference Held in Ankara

    On May 12th 2007, a group of practitioners in Ankara successfully took part in the first Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference in the local Cultural Centre. The conference proceeded peacefully from beginning to end, and practitioners shared their understandings with each other and exchanged their personal experiences of cultivation.
  • Italy: Celebrating Falun Dafa Day

    On May 13th, Falun Gong practitioners in Italy separately gathered in Rome and Milan to celebrate the 8th Falun Gong Day and extend their wishes and thanks to the founder of the practice, Mr. Li Hongzhi. Introduced in 1992, Falun Gong has benefited over one hundred million practitioners around the world, so practitioners wish more people could share this good news.
  • Finland: Rally to Support 21 Million Withdrawals from the CCP and its Related Organisations

    On May 12th, 2007, the Finnish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP held a rally and a parade in Helsinki's Central Square to support the twenty-one million withdrawals from the CCP in China. People from many Nordic countries participated in the event, which attracted a lot of tourists and local people’s attention.
  • Vice-President of the European Parliament: "The greatest mistake committed by the Chinese Communist Party is to crack down on belief"

    Prior to the EU-China human rights dialogue, eight non-governmental human rights groups in Europe held a seminar at the Silken Berlaymont Brussels Hotel, next to the EU headquarters. Those present called on the EU to take action before the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing to ensure that China’s human rights will be improved by then.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Stage a Rally in Berlin

    Prior to the EU-China human rights dialogue that is to take place in Germany next week, on Saturday, May 12th, 2007, over 300 Falun Gong practitioners staged a rally in Breitscheidplatz, in downtown Berlin, to expose the bloody persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) which began eight years ago.
  • EU and UK Parliamentarians Raise Labour Camp Case with Chinese Regime

    A total of 20 UK parliamentarians have written to the Chinese communist regime or the UK Foreign Office since Wenjian Liang, her husband Zhiyong Lin and 6 other Falun Gong practitioners were detained in February, and sentenced to labour camps without trial in March. Amnesty International issued an Urgent Action and the UK media also reported on their plight. Against this background, the EU has raised Ms Liang's case at the EU-China Human Rights Dialogue in Berlin on 14th-15th May 2007.
  • Czech Republic: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the CCP's Organ Harvesting

    On May 1st, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in the Czech Republic participated in a gathering with the theme “A May Day without the Communist Party” at Letná Park in Prague. Practitioners enacted scenes of torture and organ harvesting to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Wins China Free Culture Movement’s “2007 Special Spiritual Belief Award”

    “The most gratifying thing to us is that we stood side by side with Falun Gong during the nearly eight years of the persecution!” said Zhong Wei Guang, after China Free Culture Movement awarded “2007 Special Spiritual Belief Award” in April to Falun Gong. Zhong Wei Guang is an expert in contemporary studies of totalitarianism and one of the founders of China Free Culture Movement. From not knowing anything about Falun Gong to giving an award to Falun Gong, what kind of emotional journey has he undertaken?
  • Switzerland: Lucerne Residents Condemn the CCP's Brutality

    Falun Gong information posters can always be seen in Lucerne's Mublenplatz Square. On the 5th of May, 2007, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners went to Mublenplatz to support an activity held by the local 'Quitting the CCP Service Centre' to mark 21 million withdrawals from the CCP.
  • Belgium: Introducing Falun Dafa at La Lumiere Community Centre in Liege

    Falun Gong practitioners received an invitation to introduce Falun Gong at a community centre. At a health exhibition held in Liege last year, staff from the community centre learned about Falun Gong and kept in touch with practitioners. One month ago, the centre arranged an activity in which practitioners could introduce Falun Gong and teach the exercises.
  • France: French Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and Thank Master for his Infinite Grace

    On May 13th, Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Gong Day in Human Rights Square in Paris. Colourful balloons were floating in the air, on each balloon was printed the words “World needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”, “Falun Gong is good”,”celebrating World Falun Gong Day”.
  • Ukraine: Ukrainian Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Gong Day

    When the Ukrainian people learned that the CCP is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners to make huge profits, many people came to sign practitioners' petition in succession condemning the Chinese regime. They encouraged practitioners, saying, ‘‘This is a very important and very urgent thing that needed to be done’’.
  • Germany: Appeal to the German Government: Please Ask for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong

    " ... Some foreign observers guess “at least half of the officially acknowledged 250,000 detainees in labour camps are adherents of the Falun Gong movement. Although overseas Falun Gong sources put the numbers much higher.” ... In the April the 30th 2007 report, Amnesty International bemoans that the Chinese regime did not keep to the promises they made to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), as the human rights situation has worsened since the time they made their promise to the IOC."
