On November 10th 2005, during the Chinese Communist Party leader’s visit to Germany, people from European countries and human rights organizations held a big parade in Germany’s capital to support more than 5 million people publicly withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party. The parade team started off from Stadtmitte, passing through the presidential palace, Alexanderplatz and some other busy areas, finally arrived at the Berlin Chinese Embassy.

There were German, Chinese and English banners in the parade team along with the cries of some parade slogans: “Only without the Communist Party can we have a New China”, “Communist Party means autarchy, massacre, and tortures”, “Withdrawal, withdrawal, hurry up to withdraw from the Communist Party” and “CCP, No! No! No!”

The Berlin Daily Newspaper ran a story entitled “Hurry up to withdraw from the Communist Party: the protesters ask to end the Communist Party’s rule” on November 11th. The story revealed that during Hun Jintao’s three-day visit in Berlin, there were 11 commemorative meetings, 21 gatherings and 1 parade registered in the police station. Among them, except a group of Chinese students wielding red national flags in front of the Brandenburg gate at noon, there were few gathering people to welcome Hu Jintao.

With regard to the withdrawal from the Communist Party parade held in Berlin city centre on November 10th, the Berlin Daily also reported as followed: The protest parade started off from Checkpoint Charlie (next to the former East Berlin Wall) and ended with a gathering in front of the Chinese Embassy near Jannowitzbruecke. According to the police, 330 people attended this parade. They asked to end the Communist Party’s rule in chorus. The attendees included Falun Gong practitioners, who are being persecuted in China, Taiwanese and lots of Germans in the parade. The Chinese independent media The Epoch Times, supporting the trend of withdrawal from the Communist Party which is happening in China at present, organized this parade.
