  • Germany: Speech from the Opening of the Travelling Exhibition ‘Fields of Shame”

    "Four-year-old Wan Shu-Jie lived in Laiwu City, Shandong Province. On July 19th 2000, a group of police broke into the home of little Shu-Jie’s uncle and arrested all grown ups in front of the little girl. On December 3rd 2000, the police arrested Shu-Jie’s father and took him to the police station for interrogation. The child fainted when she was forced to watch the mistreatment of her father. After she came to, she broke out in cold sweat and had a fever. Since then, she was no longer herself, hit her head against the wall, cried a lot and stopped growing. She was in shock and suffered trauma since this experience with the police. She lived in constant fear. At the age of four, Shu-Jie died on July 15th 2002."
  • Spain: The Film “Sandstorm” Receives a Warm Welcome at a Human Rights Film Festival

    In October, the third International Human Rights Film Festival hosted by Asociacion Gandhi, a Spanish human rights organisation, toured eight major cities in Spain. Award-winning movie Sandstorm was shown at the film festival. “Sandstorm” is set in China where Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to a brutal persecution.
  • Sweden: Reading the “Falun Dafa Association Announcement” at the Chinese Embassy

    Practitioners read the “Falun Gong Association Announcement” to officials in front of the Chinese Embassy in Stockholm. Next, they demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Passers-by stopped and watched the demonstration. They asked for leaflets and talked with practitioners to find out more about Falun Gong and the persecution.
  • Germany: Travelling Exhibition “Fields of Shame” Shown in Hannover

    Two groups of Falun Gong practitioners collected petition signatures during the afternoon for two petitions: one petition demanded that the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin, be brought to justice in a court of law for his crimes; the other petition demanded the return to Germany of Jiang Renzheng and his family.
  • Germany: Learning the Truth Awakens Police's Sense of Justice

    During Hu Jintao's visit to Germany, practitioners took the opportunity to clarify the truth to the police officers, who have direct contact with practitioners during their appeals and activties.
  • France: Children from Province of Nord-Pas-de-Calais Support their Chinese Friends

    November 20th was Universal Children’s Day, and French practitioners held an event called “Rescue Falun Gong Children Persecuted in China” at the Human Rights Plaza in Paris. They held an anti-torture exhibition, a photo exhibition and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration. In addition, they told the passersby that many children of practitioners have been orphaned due to the brutal persecution.
  • Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong to the People of St Petersburg

    On November 5th and 12th respectively, practitioners in St Petersburg held rallies to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. A lot of civilians were touched by practitioners’ compassionate and peaceful hearts. They gladly accepted the materials, and some of them discussed with practitioners in depth.
  • Spain’s biggest newspaper El Pais Exposes China's Human Rights Abuse

    During Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to Spain, the country’s biggest newspaper El Pais published an article entitled Cruel Torture and the Death Penalty to expose the Chinese Communist regime’s human rights abuses. The article pointed out that there are many dark sides of China’s miracles and the fact that both economic openness and political impediment coexist in China.
  • Denmark: Practitioners Read an Announcement by the Falun Gong Association at the Chinese Embassy

    On November 23rd, Danish practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy to read an announcement by the Falun Gong Association. It says, amongst other things, that all those who have committed crimes against Falun Gong but want now to correct their mistakes still have an opportunity to abandon the evil path and choose to be good.
  • Germany: Practitioners Rally to Condemn the Persecution During Shandong Governor’s Visit

    On November 23rd, the Bavarian governor held a banquet for visiting Shandong Governor Han Yuqun. Outside, practitioners rallied to condemn the persecution of their Chinese fellows by the Shandong government. Since 1999, at least 281 practitioners have been persecuted to death in Shandong province, ranking it 5th among all the provinces.
  • Czech Republic: Falun Gong Practitioners Visit Mšené Lázně Elementary School

    Czech Falun Gong practitioners were invited to an elementary school in Mšené Lázně to speak on human rights in China during a civic education class. The school’s deputy director has several times witnessed practitioners’ peaceful appeals and vigils at the Chinese Embassy in Prague and invited them to talk at his school.
  • Spanish newspaper La Voz de Almeria publishes article about the lawsuit against the Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai

    "Bo Xilai, who will likely accompany the Chinese President during his trip to Spain from the 13th to the 15th of November, has been subjected to criminal lawsuits in various countries around the world, including England, Germany, Poland, the United States, Chile and Peru, accused of grave crimes against humanity, genocide and torture against Chinese citizens for their spiritual beliefs, where hundreds have died through cruel torture."
  • Germany: Hoping to Awaken the Conscience of the Chinese Leader

    When Chinese leader Hu Jintao was visiting Germany, Falun Gong practitioners from all over Europe came to the German capital Berlin. In six places, they sat quietly around the clock displaying three messages on banners: "Falun Gong is good!" "Stop persecuting Falun Gong" "Hu Jintao, the time Gods and people have given you is limited"
  • Italy: "We really feel very good!"

    In November, Italian practitioners participated in the annual Biella Health Fair for the third time; they hoped to allow more people to understand Falun Gong. Practitioners told the many visitors about the persecution of practitioners in China, demonstrated the exercises and distributed paper lotus flowers to the people.
  • United Kingdom: Cambridge Rally Supporting Five Million Withdrawals from the CCP

    According to a report by the Epoch Times newspaper, on October 23rd, a large rally supporting five million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was held in Cambridge. The event was organised by the Federation for Saying Goodbye to the CCP. The demonstration passed through the town centre, and then gathered at King’s College.
