Ms. Wu Jinfeng is Persecuted to the Verge of Death

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Jinfeng from Laiyang City, Shandong Province was arrested in April, 2010. Her family hired an attorney to represent her. However, instead of helping Ms. Wu, he helped the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) to persecute her. Ms. Wu was tortured to the verge of death in a detention centre. She is now extremely weak. -
Bai Sanyun Was Beaten by Prison Police During a Hunger Strike
2010-08-23After being arrested in May, Falun Gong practitioner Bai Sanyuan was sentenced in June and in July 2010, he was sent to Lanzhou Prison. Mr. Bai started a hunger strike in late May 2010. He was beaten by the prison police. The policeman kicked him seven or eight times in the lower back. He also slapped Mr. Bai in his face a dozen times. The beating caused Mr. Bai atrophy in his legs and lumbar disc hernia, which caused a lot of pain. Now he is very feeble and emaciated. -
Li Xiuhong's Family Insists That Authorities Stop Mistreating Her at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, Changchun
2010-08-22Falun Gong practitioner Li Xiuhong's family members received an invitation on July 30th, 2010, from Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun. Staff members at the forced labour camp originally wanted Li Xiuhong's family to persuade her to write the so-called "five guarantee statements," to renounce practising Falun Gong or write an article criticising Falun Gong. However, through her family members' inquiries, Li Xiuhong confirmed that she had been subjected to torture by police, including shocks from electric batons and being tied up. When camp authorities realised that their evil deeds had been exposed, they immediately ended the family visit and took Li Xiuhong back to the forced labour camp. Li Xiuhong's family members sternly warned the police to no longer torture Li Xiuhong. -
Practitioners Persecuted in Xigemu Forced Labour Camp in Jiamusi City
2010-08-22Ms. Li Chunyang was apprehended by police when she was handing out Falun Gong materials. Every day, Ms. Li was forced to sit on a wheel axle of strings with both hands handcuffed behind her and to a mental ring on the wall. Guards loudly abused and humiliated her. Because Ms. Li was handcuffed and wasn't able to take a shower for such a long time, her body emitted a bad odour. The criminals and guards couldn't bear the smell and washed Ms. Li's body by force. They found that there were two wounds on her buttocks that were caused by abrasion. Ms. Li couldn't stand up, but g.uard Li Yongbo said she was pretending to be unable to walk, and harshly kicked her in the back and body over ten times. -
Ms. Wu Bilin from Wuhan Holds a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution in Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre
2010-08-22Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Bilin is currently on a hunger strike to protest her detention in Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. The 61-year-old was arrested outside her home by the Wuhan City Police Department on June 19th, 2010. That night, her home was ransacked by the police. According to an insider, she was arrested for accompanying Ms. Song Wenxiu, mother of practitioner Ms. Li Shihong, to Jiangan District Court. They went there to lodge a letter of complaint regarding the unjust trial of Ms. Li Shihong. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Shuxiu Sent to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp
2010-08-22Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Shuxiu was deceived by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agent Guo Xiuyan and went to Guo's home on June 3rd, 2010. Li Shuxiu was then immediately arrested by police. A few days later, she was transferred to the Domestic Security Division of the Zhucheng Public Security Bureau and detained for a month. The Zhucheng 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) sent her to the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp in Zibo, Shandong Province on July 5th, although her life was at great risk due to her state of health. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Wang Guanrong Tortured in Harbin City Women's Prison
2010-08-21Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Guanrong, in her fifties, is serving a twelve-year term in Harbin City Women's Prison. She was tortured until she lost sensation in both of her legs. She also lost the sight in her right eye and could only see a bit of light through her left eye. Previosly detained in Jixian County Detention Centre gurads cruelly tortured Ms. Wang for more than 50 hours, punching her, kicking her, pulling her hair, twisting her ears, and subjecting her to the "Flying an airplane" torture. Her whole body was covered with bruises. The guards did not allow her to drink, eat, or sleep. -
Retired Teacher from Yilan County Sent to Forced Labour Camp Three Times
2010-08-21Ms. Ning Shuxian was detained twice at the Wanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp in Harbin, and once at Qianjin Women's Forced Labour Camp because she did not give up her Falun Gong practice. Ms. Ning was brutally persecuted for the past ten years. In the labour camp guards tried to force practitioners to write the "guarantee statements" to renounce practising Falun Gong. Ms. Ning refused, so the guards forced her to maintain a squatting position from 5 a.m. to midnight. Ms. Ning suffered from bone necrosis, so she had great difficulty in the squatting position. A guard also tortured Ms. Ning, having her hung by her hands for over thirty minutes. The pain she suffered was tremendous. -
Ms. Gong Xianghui from Changsha City Arrested and Beaten by Police
2010-08-21Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gong Xianghui, 36, from Changsha City was approached by two male police officers while walking down the street on August 1st, 2010. They dragged Ms. Gong into their police vehicle and drove her to the police station, where she was brutally beaten by officers. Her face, eyes, thighs, and other parts of the body were covered with bruises. She was sent to the Third Detention Centre in Changsha City on the same day and has not been released to date. -
Crimes Committed Against Falun Gong Practitioners by the No. 1 Prison in Yunnan Province
2010-08-21On June 5th, 2010, a guard locked Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Bao in the strict-control cell once again for failing to greet him with "Good morning, sir." Mr. Bao was placed in shackles and two pairs of handcuffs and cuffed in a spread-eagle position to the metal rails for 2 days. This torture continued day and night for more than 3 months. In total, Mr. Bao was shackled and handcuffed for over 6 months. Afterward, the prison guards forced him to undergo intense brainwashing sessions, where he was continuously monitored by 3 inmates, who forced him to read articles that slandered Falun Gong for at least 10 hours a day. The brainwashing lasted for more than a year. -
Ms. Zhao Yan from Beijing Mistreated in Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp
2010-08-20Ms. Zhao Yan, in her 30s, has been subjected to mistreatment in the Women's Forced Labour Camp in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, for refusing to give up her faith in Falun Gong. She was arrested by police while distributing materials to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in January 2008, and subsequently sentenced to two years of forced labour. Ms. Zhao has been subjected to solitary confinement in a small cell for refusing to give up her faith. The guards also taped and gagged her mouth when she shouted "Falun Gong is good." For a period of time, she was given very little food. -
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Officials in Wafangdian City Threaten Practitioners and Their Families, Including Children
2010-08-20Chinese Communist Party (CCP) staff members in Laohutun Town, Liaoning Province have recently been putting pressure on village officials to harass Falun Gong practitioners. The local officials are pressuring practitioners to write or sign statements to proclaim that they will stop practising Falun Gong. The officials threaten practitioners with arrest or brainwashing if they don't sign. They even threaten the practitioners' family members' jobs and their schoolchildren. -
Personal Account of Persecution by the Late Mr. Liu Quanguo from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province
2010-08-20Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Quanguo was arrested without a warrant, detained, sentenced to forced labour, tortured, and injected with unknown drugs. The head guard publicly said to him: "You'll die after you are released." And after Liu Quanguo was released, he did pass away on February 16th, 2008 at the age of 45. Before his death he recounted: "In Shuangcheng Detention Centre, the guard interrogated me again and again, trying to find out who organised our Falun Gong group. I was forced to stand for 24 hrs, and made to pick up a toilet bucket weighing 50 kilograms. The guard ordered prisoners to beat and kick me, I had black eyes and a bleeding nose and mouth." -
The Persecution Suffered by a Married Couple in Jiangsu Province
2010-08-20From July 20th, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been using inhumane ways to deprive Falun Gong practitioners of their freedom of belief, forbidding them to practise Falun Gong. Over the course of the persecution, Mr. Wang and Ms. Lu have had the authorities knocking on their door constantly to harass them and search their home. They have been forcibly taken to brainwashing centres, have been arrested, suffered interrogation and torture, and have seen send to forced labour camps. -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Du Juying Unjustly Admitted to a Mental Hospital Again
2010-08-19Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Du Juying has been persecuted repeatedly because of her beliefs. Even two of her sons participated in her persecution under pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). CCP officials threatened her sons with the loss of their jobs and instigated them to mistreat their mother. Ms. Du's son Qu Zhipeng forced her to be admitted into the Yichang City Dongshan Mental Hospital again in June 2010.
