Mr. Sun Hui and His Daughter Ms. Sun Ruyan Arrested Again--Three Family Members in Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Ruyan, 25, was arrested at her workplace on August 16th. Ms. Sun has a very good reputation and all her colleagues have a very high opinion of her. They feel that she is very capable and is considerate of others. Even the director of the transportation department, who helped the police arrest her, said she is a good person. Her father, Mr. Sun Hui, was arrested at the same time at his workplace. In 2009, Ms. Sun's mother, Ms. Hu Qili, had been sentenced to four years in prison. Their entire family has now been arrested and detained. -
Ms. Xie Hong from Hefei City Is Arrested Again
2011-09-02Ms. Xie Hong is a Falun Gong practitioner who lives in Hefei City, Anhui Province. On June 24th, 2011, the police broke into her home, searched it, and arrested her. Her current whereabouts are unknown. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, she has been arrested and detained several times. Ms. Xie was arrested in March 2008. A bag full of leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong was found in her possession. She was first detained for 15 days and was then sent to a brainwashing session. She was later sentenced to one year of forced labour. -
Mr. Li Xiwang Died in Agony as a Result of More than Ten Hours of “Anchor Torture”
2011-09-01Because Mr. Li Xiwang practised Falun Gong, the police arrested him and his wife Ms. Chen Liyan on December 21st, 2010 and sent the couple to Hexi Detention Centre. Six months later, Mr. Li was covertly sentenced and transferred to Binhai Prison on July 18th, 2011. Just ten days into his incarceration he lost his life. It is now confirmed that Mr. Li died as a result of “anchor torture,” an extremely brutal torture. -
Elderly Ms. Zou Jin, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Changsha City, Died as a Result of Persecution
2011-09-01Ms. Zou Jin was subjected to brutal torture and insult by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She died in extreme pain on March 2011 at the age of 77. In 2001 Ms. Zou was arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison on a fabricated charge, only for practising Falun Gong. She was subjected to inhuman torture. The guards often interrogated her, shocked her with electric batons, pulled and slammed her head against the wall, deprived her of sleep, made her stand for the whole night and did not give her any food or water. Guards also raped her and shoved an electric baton inside her to shock her. -
Ms. Wang Meiqing, 69, of Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province Recounts the Torture and Abuse She Suffered in Detention
2011-09-01On January 16th, 2000, I went to Beijing with another practitioner to appeal for Falun Gong. We went to Tiananmen Square and unfolded a large banner. Plainclothes officers then came and arrested us. At the police station a policeman kicked me very hard, pushing me against a table and breaking the table leg. Police tried to give me an injection, but I refused. They then pinned me to the ground while an officer kicked me, breaking one of my left ribs. I went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. -
Ms. Fu Meilin From Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province Tortured
2011-09-01Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fu Meilin was arrested by police while walking on a street on May 26th, because she carried Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. She was taken to the Hongsheng Police Station in Yichun. The officers slapped her face, put her on a Tiger Bench and violently stretched her fingers. She was later transferred to the Wumahe Detention Centre where she began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Two weeks later, she was taken to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labour Camp. The camp authorities refused to admit her because she could not pass the physical. -
A Teacher Lost Her Sanity Due to Persecution
2011-08-31The Minghui/Clearwisdom website previously reported that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Deng Xiaomin lost her sanity due to persecution. It has been about eight years, and Ms. Deng is still mentally unstable. We all wonder what the guards in the labour camp did to her. Her elderly parents had no choice but to take her to a mental hospital. In 2000 she was sentenced to to three years in Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Deng began a hunger strike. Guard Wang Junsheng and another guard named Lu knocked her down and shocked her with an electric baton, causing her to pass out. After 40 days on a hunger strike, she was force-fed through a tube pushed through her nose. Her nose bled, her face was swollen and bruised, and the tube was not taken out. -
The Persecution of Ms. Li Sufang at Hebei Province Women's Prison
2011-08-31The Wuan Court in Hebei Province sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Sufang to five years in prison. Ms. Li has been severely persecuted in the No. 17 Ward of Hebei Province Women's Prison since April 29th, 2007. Now, as a result of torture and harsh conditions, she is very weak, absentminded, and her blood pressure is extremely high. The guards have beaten and locked Ms. Li in a small isolation cell. -
Three Female Falun Gong Practitioners in Baoding City Sentenced to Forced Labour
2011-08-31On August 9th, three Falun Gong practitioners in Baoding City of Hebei Province were sentenced to forced labour and were taken to Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shijiazhuang City. On July 27th police arrested Ms. Wang while she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to passersby on the street. Around 8:30 pm four officers broke into Ms. Wang's home and took her cash and some of her personal belongings. Ms. Wang was detained at the police station overnight. During the process of interrogation, Zhang Dianhai, the deputy head of that police station, slapped her face twice. -
Mr. Wang Hongbo, in His 70's, Beaten by Yueyang Police
2011-08-31Mr. Wang Hongbo, in his 70s, was arrested and detained many times by the Junshan District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) because he practises Falun Gong. Mr. Wang and his relative Mr. Cai Junming were taken to the police station on August 12th. The police beat Mr. Wang and confiscated more than 9,000 yuan in cash and other personal belongings. -
Ms. Xie Zhiying, 52, Dies After Torture and Persecution
2011-08-30Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xie Zhiying was detained in a mental hospital twice without reason, just for cultivating Falun Gong. Though perfectly normal, she was tortured violently in Alar City Mental Hospital, including electric baton abuses, forced-feedings, high-dosed drug injections, solitary confinement, denied family visitations and more. Her employer, under the influence of the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), held her captive seven years without the right of visitation of her family. She died suddenly on August 6th, but the 610 Office authorities have not allowed her family to see the body. -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Persecuted to Death in Changchun City, China
2011-08-30After suffering a year of persecution at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in a forced labour camp, Falun Gong practitioner Yang Mingli was released into his younger brother's custody. Yang Mingli had to be carried down on his younger brother's back from the third floor of the labour camp building. He was not able to recover from the torture he had suffered, and passed away on May 10th. -
Qinghua University Alumnus Zhang Lianjun Completes Eight Years of Imprisonment; Remains in Custody
2011-08-30Qinghua University alumnus Zhang Lianjun was paralyzed and received brain damage as a result of torture by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was incarcerated in the Fourth Prison of Chifeng on July 25th, and recently completed eight years of wrongful imprisonment. During his imprisonment, he was only allowed to lie in bed, day and night. He was transferred to a hospital, and held under close surveillance by CCP officials. His family was also monitored and followed by unidentified officials. -
Kao Fuquan Tortured at the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Centre in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province
2011-08-30Mr. Kao Fuquan was arrested, then taken to the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Centre on May 8th, 2010. During his detention, Ji Xiaodong (brainwashing centre director), 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) staff members and criminals hired by the centre officials frequently tortured him in order to force him into a "confession." After six months of torture, Mr. Kao's ribs were broken, and he was injected with unknown drugs on multiple occasions. He nearly died at one point. -
Shenzhen Government Actively Involved in the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Overseas
2011-08-29Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its unprecedented persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, practitioners from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas have travelled to China to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Shenzhen is one of the most internationally connected Chinese cities, as the Shenzhen seaport is a major harbour. The CCP created a blacklist of Falun Gong practitioners from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and uses the blacklist to identify and arrest practitioners who enter the country in Shenzhen, confiscating home return permits, as well as deporting, arresting and detaining practitioners. They even take practitioners to their notorious forced labour camps, imprison them and put them in brainwashing centres.
