  • Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Repeatedly Persecutes Elderly Fujian Woman for Practising Falun Gong

    Ms. Chen Saiyu, 75, started practising Falun Gong in 1998, and her five illnesses subsequently disappeared. She has since 1999 been repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In 2001, she was arrested and taken to a brainwashing centre for one hundred days. In 2002 and 2003, she was twice forced to leave her home to avoid the persecution. In 2005, she was sentenced to three years and tortured at the Fujian Women's Prison. Before she was released from the prison in 2008, she was taken to a remote village in Qingliu, Fujian Province and brainwashed there. On June 26th, 2011, she was again taken away.
  • Mr. Yun Haisen from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Arrested and His Daughter Forced into Exile

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yun Haisen went out by car on the afternoon of August 12th, 2011 with practitioner Ms. Feng Guoru and was arrested by police. Chief officer Gong Chuanxing, together with other officers from the Aohan Banner Domestic Security Team, broke into Mr. Yun's home and confiscated his car and many materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, including more than ten thousand DVD's and books. As a result, Mr. Yun's daughter was forced into exile.
  • Author and Teacher Mr. Yun Xiao from Wuhan City Arrested

    Police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yun Xiao on October 27th, at the “Full-De Lecture Hall,” where he teaches in Hankou, Wuhan City. The police also ransacked three other locations belonging to “Full-De Lecture Hall” in Wuchang, Hankou, and Huangpo, and took several computers, books, and many items belonging to the students and teachers. The students were ordered to return home. It is still unclear where Mr. Yun Xiao is being detained. Because Mr. Yun practises Falun Gong, Longquanyi District Court officials sentenced him to three years in prison In 2002.
  • Thirteen Practitioners Arrested and Harassed in Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province in the Last Two Months

    From mid-August of this year to the end of October, thirteen practitioners were arrested and harassed, and their homes were ransacked. Among them, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, Ms. Yang Xiufen and eight other practitioners are still being held. Police went to the Qinxiangyuan Bakery run by Ms. Zhang Guizhi and Ms. Zhang Xiuying and arrested them. They confiscated 7,000 yuan in cash and property valued over 10,000 yuan, including a computer, without providing any sort of legal document. The two practitioners were taken to the Tonghe County Detention Centre.
  • Mr. Li Changrong from Hong'an County, Hubei Province Arrested and Detained Again

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Changrong has been persecuted many times. He was recently arrested and detained again. Mr. Li was subjected to long-term detention, brainwashing and sentencing. Mr. Li has spent most of the past ten plus years in detention. The Chinese Communist Party agents employed all kinds of persecution methods on Mr. Li; the most heinous is injecting him with unknown substances. Even while being abused so severely, Mr. Li has remained steadfast in his belief in Falun Gong.
  • Heilongjiang Women's Prison Had Inmates Torture Practitioner Ms. Yu Qiuyan

    Practitioner Ms. Yu Qiuyan of Harbin is 60 years old. She was taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in September 2009. To coerce her to abandon her Falun Gong practice, guards had inmates torture her. She suffered beatings, kicks, bamboo needles driven under her fingernails, standing punishment, torture tools, sleep deprivation, denial of toilet use, force-feedings, forced drug administration, and more.
  • Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Zhang Guixia and Ms. Qu Guiying from Fushun City, Liaoning Province Sentenced to Prison

    Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Guixia, Ms. Qu Guiying and Ms. Li Honglan have been arrested and sentenced to forced labour several times over the past ten years. Their families have also suffered great pain. On March 9th, 2011 Ms. Qu Guiying, Ms. Zhang Guixia, and Ms. Huang Yaguang were again arrested while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. This time, Ms. Zhang Guixia and Ms. Qu Guiying were sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Li Honglan was detained.
  • Crimes Committed at the Hegang City Brainwashing Centre

    The Hegang City Brainwashing Centre in Heilongjiang Province started to detain Falun Gong practitioners in January 2011. Practitioners are forced to view videos that slander Falun Gong three times per day, and afterwards they are told to write their “understandings” of the videos. If what practitioners write is not up to the brainwashing centre's “requirements,” the practitioners are slapped, shocked with electric batons, and tortured in other ways including sleep deprivation.
  • I Was Whipped with Chains in Shenyang Women's Prison

    In August 2007, I went out to distribute Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution with another practitioner. We were arrested. The Taihe District Court sentenced me to four years in prison and took me to Shenyang Women Prison. Guards tried to force me to give up my faith in Falun Gong, but I refused. I was forced to sit on small stool only was three inches wide and one inch high. They allowed me neither toilet use nor sleep. When I became so tired that my eyes closed, guards would whip me with an iron chain. It wasn't long before I couldn't open my eyes anymore because they were so swollen. A guard poured ice-cold water over my head, then continued to whip me. Soon I could no longer stand up, my mind was a blur and my entire body felt paralysed.
  • Xie Chaoyan Arrested for Doing Good – Friends and Families Petition for His Release

    Mr. Xie Chaoyan and his wife, Ms. Yan Congxi, are well known in the village as honest, hardworking, and good. In their free time from farming, they drive customers around on a motorcycle, and polishing shoes. Because of Mr. Xie's warmhearted demeanour and honest and hardworking attitude, many people are happy to ride with him. But his popularity caused jealousy among his competitors, who reported him to the Wanyu police. They complained that he practised Falun Gong and was encouraging his riders to withdraw from the Party. On September 21st, Mr. Xie was arrested by police. Fellow villagers had great sympathy for Mr. Xie misfortune as they knew the couple to be good people. Ms. Yan has recently collected many villager's signatures to petition for her husband's release. Some villagers even wrote below their signatures, “Mr. Xie is a very good person.”
  • Chongqing Police Secretly Arrest Practitioner Wan Xinlin

    In September, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wan Xinlin without a proper warrant or any evidence. They took him to the Wanzhou District Brainwashing Centre, where he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. It has been more than 20 days since his hunger strike began, and his health is now extremely poor. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Gong, he has been regularly targeted for persecution. In 2008, he was sentenced to 15 months of forced labour. In August 2010, he was taken to a brainwashing centre by police.
  • Guangzhou Resident Ms. Luo Liping Detained at Forced Labour Camp for Over a Year After Purchasing Hong Kong Shen Yun Show Ticket

    Guangzhou Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Liping was arrested by police and the street administration office in January 2010. She was sentenced to eighteen months of forced labour. When her term was up, she was persecuted for an additional 45 days. She recounts: "When I phoned to order tickets to the Shen Yun show (a world-class traditional Chinese cultural show) in Hong Kong in January 2010, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutors were monitoring my phone. Later, when I went to apply for the visa to Hong Kong, regime agents confiscated my identification card. Several days later, police officers pushed their way in and ransacked my home. They took my personal belongings, including Falun Gong books, materials, cash, and a computer. They arrested me. I was sent to Chatou Women's Forced Labour Camp. I was forced to do heavy labour."
  • Ms. Bian Chunyan from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province Sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Bian Chunyan was arrested on August 31st by officials from the Domestic Security Division of Taiping Police Department, the Jianshe Police Station, and the Xitie Police Station. She was transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp on September 28th with sentence of 21 months of forced labour. Her family is anxious about her situation and has suffered grief and difficulty without her.
  • Ms. Zhang Guanghua from Yongjing County, Gansu Province, Arrested

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Guanghua was arrested by police on July 7th, 2011. A witness said that a plainclothes police officer went into Ms. Zhang's convenience store asking for a DVD about Falun Gong and the persecution. After she gave him one, the man called for fellow officers to arrest her, charging her with distributing Falun Gong DVDs. Sources have said that Ms. Zhang has been severely beaten, restrained on a tiger bench, and hung by her handcuffs.
  • Engineer Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison--His Wife Recently Arrested, Leaving a Young Daughter Alone at Home

    Mr. Liu Yongwang is about 40 years old, and a Falun Gong practitioner. Mr. Liu was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2006, and is currently detained in Jidong Prison in Tangshan City. Guard Zheng Yajun locked him in an empty room for eight consecutive months and ordered 14 inmates to torture him. On October 7th, Ms. Qi Shuying, Mr. Liu's wife, was at home with her daughter when the electricity suddenly went out. When they opened the door to check the electric meter, more than half a dozen police officers were waiting, and forced their way in. Ms. Qi was taken away by the police, leaving her young daughter alone at home, without anyone to care for her. Ms. Qi was taken to a brainwashing centre.
