    Shen Yun Performing Arts made its 2009 début to Europe in the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva on Tuesday September 29. Mr. Claude Proz, the manager of the theatre which has been hosting the New York-based Shen Yun for the past three years, said he would be glad to welcome Shen Yun every year. "It's magnificent, it's a spectacle, and I'm delighted it's coming back and I'll be delighted that's it's showing tomorrow and after tomorrow. I thought it was exceptional!"
  • Geneva Audiences Praise Shen Yun's Presentation of China's Ancient Culture

    Shen Yun Performing Arts dazzled and astounded Geneva audiences three nights in a row at the Théâtre du Léman last week. Mr. Labadi, a real estate agent, praised Shen Yun for its presentation of China's rich and ancient culture. "I find that we don't talk enough about China's past. In the West we see the Egyptian past, we see the Roman past, and we know the modern China, but we don't know the past of China," he said.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Receives Strong Support at the Cultural Carnival in Hamburg

    On September 12, groups of people from different nationalities in colourful costumes passed, singing and dancing through the Hamburg downtown area at the climax of the annual Cultural Carnival of Hamburg. As the only Chinese group, Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the parade and were well received by the organisers and audience.
  • France: Introducing Falun Dafa at Marly-le-Roi

    On September 12 2009, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to take part in a local community event in Marly-le-Roi, a quiet city about 9 miles west of Paris. The focus of the activity, sponsored by the local government, was to showcase the local artistic, educational, and sporting opportunities that are available to residents for their enjoyment and enrichment.
  • Belgium: Many People at Bokrijk Festival Express the Wish to Learn Falun Gong

    The Falun Gong practitioners set up a tent near the entrance to the festival grounds. There was a display of informational materials about the practice's benefits to the mind and body, as well as information exposing the persecution that is happening in China.
  • Belgium: Falun Gong Is Popular at Retrouvailles

    Retrouvailles is an annual event in Liège, Belgium. The Belgian Falun Dafa Association and over 300 other groups participated in this year's event. People were attracted by the beautiful Falun Gong music, and practitioners were busy explaining to the tourists what Falun Gong is, where to learn it, and why the CCP is persecuting this peaceful group.
  • Belgium: Falun Gong at the Sfinks International Music Festival

    The Sfinks Festival (International Music Festival) was held during the last weekend of July. At this year's festival, Falun Gong practitioners introduced Falun Gong to the festival visitors. They set up a tent with display boards about the worldwide spread of Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the practice.
  • Ireland: Introducing Falun Gong at the Dun Laoghaire Culture Festival

    Falun Gong practitioners from Ireland attended the Dun Laoghaire Culture Festival on August 29 and 30, 2009. Many people were attracted to the practitioners' booth, and some learned the exercises. Some Chinese people also stopped by and learned things that have been covered up in China.
  • Denmark: Practitioners Display the Goodness of Dafa at the Aarhus Culture Festival

    The Aarhus Culture Festival in Denmark is held from August 28 to September 6. The theme this year is "Hope is Ahead". On August 29, local Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth at the festival and introduced Falun Dafa to festival attendees.
  • Sweden: Learning about Falun Gong at the Gothenburg Culture Festival

    On August 15th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Sweden held a large parade to demonstrate the beauty of Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) ten years of persecution against the practice. The European Divine Land Marching Band demonstrated the beauty of Falun Gong through music.
  • Sweden: Practitioners Attend Culture Festival in Gothenburg

    On August 16, Falun Gong practitioners attended the 19th Culture Festival in Gothenburg. The annual festival in Gothenburg is the biggest in Sweden. Every year, more than 600 thousand people from all over in Europe come to the festival. Falun Gong attracts a lot of attention.
  • United Kingdom: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Edinburgh International Arts Festival

    British Falun Gong practitioners were on hand at the Edinburgh International Art Festival August 8 to 9, 2009, to inform the public about Falun Gong. This renowned art festival held in August every year hosts plenty of shows in both theatres and in the street and draws many tourists, both domestic and international, to the Scottish capital.
  • Austria: "The Art Works Are So Touching"

    This is the first time the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" art works were exhibited in Austria. The exhibition was held in the "Time" art gallery in the centre of Vienna from June 16 to June 27, 2009. It attracted a large number of painters and artists. Many were impressed by the skilful techniques of the participating painters.
