Elderly Xi'an Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhou Qingtian Tortured to Death
2004-11-01
Mr. Zhou Qingtian lived in Shaanxi Province and was retired. He was sent to Shaanxi Zaozihe Labour Camp in 2002 to be "reeducated through forced labour" for one year, because he practised Falun Gong. During this period, the police ordered some drug addicts to torture him by piercing his fingers with steel needles. He was again arrested in 2004 and tortured to death by Xi'an police in July 2004. -
Details of the Relentless Persecution That Caused the Death of 51 Year Old Practitioner Ms Yang Qinghua from Wuhan
2004-11-01Ms. Yang Qinghua, 51 years old was from Hubei Province. In 2001 she was sent to Hewan Forced Labour Camp for appealing for the restoration of the right to practise Falun Dafa. She was persecuted until "both eyes lost sight, both ears lost hearing, the feet lost the ability to walk, and the mouth lost the ability to talk properly." She was bedridden and on the brink of death. Although released, she was unable to recover from the mental and physical trauma, and the police continued to harass and threaten her until she died on August 25, 2004. -
Husband Beaten to Death, Children Illegally Jailed in Prisons, Zhou Dongmei Cries for Justice on the Streets
2004-11-01This is the desperate situation of a family from Hubei Province, all Falun Dafa practitioners. Ms. Zhou and her daughter, went to the streets on October 11, 2004. They held poster boards explaining the injustice that their family is suffering. People on the streets were shocked to find out that Ms. Zhou's husband died from internal injuries caused by brutal beatings by the police. They could not believe that her son was being tortured to the brink of death. When Zhou and her daughter passed in front of the police department several police officers forcibly snatched away and smashed their boards and arrested them. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Song Wenhua Tortured to Death at Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp
2004-10-31Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Wenhua, 56, was resident in Jilin Province. In October 2004, Song Wenhua was tortured to death at Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City. Some official from the labour camp bellowed to his family, "We don't take care of the old and sick. We also won't release him as long as he is still alive. If he is dying, we will carry him outside the labour camp's gate at the last minute so he can die outside. Then his death will not be counted as 'tortured to death by the labour camp.'" -
The Difficult Situation of 16-Year Old Han Zhihui, Whose Mother Su Baolan Was Tortured to Death
2004-10-31In September 2001, Shandong Province Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Su Baolan died from being persecuted. Her son, Han Zhihui, who is 16 years old, is still in high school and survived. In 2003, his father remarried a woman with a 13-year-old daughter. Since then, Han Zhihui has been mistreated and abused by his stepmother. By this time his situation has become even more intolerable. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Yukun from Chongqing City Tortured to Death in 2001
2004-10-30It has been learned that Dafa practitioner Ms Li Yukun, a worker of Chongqing City Grinding Machine Factory, was tortured to death at the end of December 2000 when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa for the second time. Another practitioner went to Beijing together with Li Yukun. As soon as their train arrived in Beijing, they were arrested and taken to different places. Several days after she came back to Chongqing, on January 5. 2001, she heard from Li Yukun's family that Li had died and that they had come back from Beijing with a box containing her ashes. -
More Details about the Persecution Death of Henan Province Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Chen Lijun
2004-10-30Forty-year-old practitioner Ms. Chen Lijun was from Henan Province. She was sent to Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp twice without any legal grounds. The headwomen of the labour camp subjected Ms. Chen to all kinds of tortures, including "Tying the Ropes". They would also strike her violently all over her body including her chest, stomach and private parts. The policewomen also ordered drug addicts to seal her mouth with used menstrual pads or put excrement on her mouth. As result of the persecution, Ms. Chen died at 4:00 p.m. on September 29, 2004. -
Seventy-Year-Old Woman Mistaken as Falun Gong Practitioner, Beaten to Death
2004-10-2970-year-old Ms Wang Lianying had taken up Falun Gong before July 20, 1999 for health reasons. However, she stopped practising after the persecution of Falun Gong began. On September 18, 2004, she was arrested while sleeping, taken to the police station, and beaten to death on the same day. Upon hearing the news, Wang's family was furious. On the morning of September 19, as a protest, they strung a banner across the street that read, "Give Back Our 70-Year-Old Mother." With hundreds of spectators and bystanders, the traffic was in complete chaos. Later, they hung a banner across the hospital saying, "Knowing the law yet breaking the law, the police treat human lives like straw." -
Husband Tortured to Death, Wife Develops Mental Disorder as Result of Persecution
2004-10-28According to reports, Falun Gong practitioner Mr Li Xianwen, who lived in Sichuan Province, was tortured to death while detained in a brainwashing centre in Chengdu City. Li Xianwen's mother still does not know about her son's death. Li Xianwen's wife Yu Guiying is also a practitioner, who has suffered brutal persecution in a labour camp. As a result, she has developed a mental disorder. The labour camp has released her and sent her home. -
Continuous Persecution in Jilin Prison leads to Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr Cui Weidong
2004-10-28Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cui Weidong wrote a solemn declaration in Jilin Prison stating that all the guarantees to stop practising Falun Gong he made under the persecution were done so against his will and therefore null and void. After nearly four months of persecution, the prison authorities allowed him to be released on bail for medical treatment, but with the condition that he write a guarantee to give up Falun Gong. Cui Weidong rejected this demand. The prison hospital sent Mr. Cui back to a prison cell in August 2004. In less than a month, his condition worsened and he died on September 10. -
Anhui Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jiang Lingsheng Dies from Torture-Induced Disease
2004-10-28Anhui Province Dafa practitioner Mr Jiang Lingsheng was healed of leukemia through the practice of Falun Dafa. In December 1999, Mr. Jiang Lingsheng went to Beijing to appeal and to share with the government his firsthand experience of Falun Gong practice and the tremendous benefits it had brought him. However the authorities would not listen to his story and instead arrested and detained him. In May 2001 he was arrested in Tongling City for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and was sentenced to three years of forced labour in Anhui Province and was not allowed to practise Falun Dafa. His old illness recurred and he died on August 3, 2001. -
68 Year Old Practitioner Mo Jiaying from Guangxi Province Died as a Result of the Persecution
2004-10-27Ms. Mo Jiaying, 68 years old, was a Falun Fong practitioner from Guangxi Province. In 2001 when she was posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, she was arrested again and was detained at a Brainwashing Centre. As she refused to give up practising Falun Gong, she was then illegally sent to three years of forced labour at the Nanning Forced Labour Camp. When she was sent back home in March, 2003 she was already at the brink of death. She died tragically on March 20, 2004. -
Practitioners Ms Zhang Guiqin and Mr Qiao Yanqing from Jilin City Die from Persecution
2004-10-27Ms. Zhang Guiqin lived in Jilin City, Jilin Province. Prior to her retirement, she was the vice principal of No. 39 Middle School of Jilin City. Due to the persecution, she sustained grave mental and physical trauma. She passed away on December 9, 2003. Mr. Qiao Yanqing was born in 1941, and was a senior engineer at the Jilin City Refrigerator Factory. He also lived in Jilin City, Jilin Province. In late January 2001, before the Chinese New Year, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. He was arrested at the Beijing Train Station as soon as he got off the train and sent back to Jilin City where he was tortured by enforcers from the "610 Office" and the police. He passed away not long after on January 30. -
61 Year Old Falun Gong Practitioner Li Chunwen from Hebei Province Persecuted to Death
2004-10-26Mr. Li Chunwen, sixty-one years of age, was from Hebei Province. Just a few days after Mr. Li learned Falun Gong, rheumatic heart disease disappeared. Li Chunwen told everyone he met, "I could have lost my life a long time ago, if I had not practised Falun Gong." Since the persecution began Li Chunwen tried to go to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. He was arrested and since then suffered relentless mental and physical torment over the years, whilst in detention and when at home. He became so weak and thin that he would fall down frequently. He could not breathe properly and his internal organs were constantly in pain. In this condition, his life lasted until June 10, 2004. On that day, Li Chunwen fell down unconscious and died. -
Mr. Chen Heping, a Falun Dafa Practitioner from Hubei Province, Dies from Prolonged Persecution
2004-10-26Hubei Province Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Heping was 53 years old. In 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. The "610 Office" arrested him and sentenced him to two years in Shayang Forced Labour Camp. While in the labour camp, he was subjected to many tortures and forced to do hard labour. He was released on medical parole when his health deteriorated. In October 2003, he was unjustly brought to a brainwashing centre and persecuted until he became very frail. Due to the prolonged period of harassment and physical torture, Mr. Chen Heping passed away on October 15, 2004.
