Police Unlawfully Arrest Mr. Tang Yiqing and His Wife Ms. Zhao Honge in Dandong City, Liaoning Province

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tang Yiqing was on his way to work on the morning of September 25th, 2007 when officers and others from the Dandong Police Department stopped him and forcibly seized him. Finding his house key they broke into his home. They took away his wife, Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Honge. They ransacked his home afterwards and confiscated several items. The couple is now held at the Baifang Detention Centre in Dandong City. Ms. Zhao Honge's family members demanded her release by making personal visits to the police station, but their requests were rejected. -
Xishanping Forced Labour Camp Officials in Chongqing City Are Still Severely Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-10-14The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the Xishanping Forced Labour Camp, Chongqing City, is still very severe. According to a news source, for more than a month officials at the camp have been ruthlessly abusing the practitioners who persevere in Falun Gong practice. Besides making them do extremely intense manual labour, consisting of folding 1,500 small packages for headache powder, the physical tortures are extremely brutal. For instance, the abusers use hard objects to bang the practitioners' wrists and ankles; some practitioners were battered to a pulp. Not even older practitioners are spared from such gross abuse. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Mu Yanrui Arrested--Her Husband Traumatised and Hospitalised
2007-10-13On August 14th, 2007, older Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Mu Yanrui and more than 20 other practitioners were at the home of one of the practitioners when they were arrested by the State Security Division of the municipal police department. During the arrest, Ms. Mu Yanrui was separated from the other practitioners. On August 15th, police went to Ms. Mu's home to confiscate her property. Ms. Mu Yanrui's 70-year-old husband suffers from heart disease and had recently been released from the hospital. As the neighbours watched, the police smashed a window and forcibly entered to search their home. Ms. Mu Yanrui's husband was so frightened that he required hospitalisation. -
Ms. Wei Jianxin's Whereabouts Unknown After Being Taken Into Custody
2007-10-13On September 2nd, 2007, Ms. Wei Jianxin had just returned home from shopping when director of the State Security Division took her into custody. The police officers then broke into her home and searched it. They confiscated an MP3 player and 600 yuan in cash, and demanded that Ms. Liu pay them 2,000 yuan. Ms. Liu made a living as a street vendor and her financial situation was very challenging. Ms. Wei was sent to a forced labour camp, where she resisted the persecution. Fearing her influence, the guards threatened to transfer her to another location. Currently, Ms. Wei's whereabouts are unknown. -
Benxi City Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province - A Den of Villainous Monsters
2007-10-13The torture that the camp officials commonly administer to Falun Gong practitioners is called the "stretching bed." The "stretching bed" involves putting two single beds together and handcuffing or tying a practitioner's hands on the four corners of the two beds. (They had previously used handcuffs for this, but after the handcuffs severely cut practitioner Wang Xuefei's hands and traumatised him, the guards began using ropes to prevent this visible injury from happening.) After they tie a practitioner, they move the two beds in opposite directions. For steadfast practitioners they add some bricks between the two beds. Each brick added causes severe pain and injury. This torture method is very similar to the ancient torture method called "five horses splitting a body," also called "split by carts." -
Ms. Geng Jianhua and Mr. Lu Jingquan from Shanghai Arrested and Their Whereabouts Unknown
2007-10-11Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Geng Jianhua of Shanghai, in her 50's, planned to leave for Shandong Province on September 26th to visit her mother of over 80 years old. When Ms. Geng's husband, Mr. Lu Jingquan, was about to send her off, policemen from Weifang Police Station of Pudong District broke into their home and abducted the couple. No one knows their whereabouts since then. Previously, they had both been sent to a forced labour camp for two years and Ms. Geng lost consciousness after being hung up by her cuffed hands for 17 hours. -
Practitioners Ms. Tan Xiuying and Ms. Zhang Haiqin from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province Fell Victim to Trickery and Were Arrested by Communist Regime Spies
2007-10-10According to insiders, when Ms. Tan Xiuying went out to to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, a man in his forties approached her and began to communicate with her. He tricked her into believing he was interested in learn about Falun Gong and the persecution and arranged to meet her at a later time. On August 17th, 2007, Ms. Tan and another practitioner Ms. Zhang Haiqin were arrested. They are now being held in the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Tan Xiuying was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour. The length of Ms. Zhang Haiqin's forced labour term is unknown. -
Persecution of 70-year-old Practitioner Ms. Wang Yanxiang in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-10-07Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yanxiang, a 70-year-old woman from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, was again persecuted on September 27th, 2007. Her daughter, Ms. Liu Shufen, is also a Falun Gong practitioner and was sentenced to 11 years in prison eight years ago. Ms. Wang's husband died about one year ago, so she not only lost her family but lost her sole financial resource. This lonely old woman's experience is so bitter that a lot of kind people surrounding her feel much sympathy for her. -
Practitioner Ms. Wang Lina from Beijing Sent to a Forced Labour Camp-Her Family Forced to Endure Additional Suffering
2007-10-06One morning in late July or early August, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Lina from Beijing was arrested at her home by police officers. Ms. Wang was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. Presently, the persecutors are blocking the information about where she is detained. Ms. Wang's daughter said, "After my mum was arrested, I was shocked and could not concentrate on my exams. I am so worried about my mum. Last time my mother was sent to a forced labour camp, she suffered a lot." -
Three Practitioners Detained in a Brainwashing Centre for over a Year, Another Has Her Retirement Pension Cut Off and Her Son Arrested
2007-10-05On the morning of June 20th, 2006, 610 Office officials arrested Ms. Liang Zhengfeng, Ms. Xiang Shiqing, and Mr. Shi Dengling. The three were taken to Liannigou Brainwashing Centre because they had mailed materials about the persecution of Falun Gong to others. The practitioners refused to accept any form of " forced transformation." The police have tortured them so brutally that they are all now disfigured. Their family members have been making efforts to get them released for over a year, but the police refuse to release them. -
Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Jiangsu Provincial Women's Forced Labour Camp
2007-10-05Hong Ying and Zhou Ying, the political instructors of the camp, have coerced and instigated criminal inmates to beat practitioners. They force practitioners to squat on an inverted bench without shoes and transcribe materials that slander Falun Dafa at the same time. The criminal inmates beat any practitioners that disobey the orders. Practitioners who resist and dare to hold hunger strikes are force fed. Other practitioners are compelled to watch. During the force- feeding process, the nose, mouth and throat of the practitioner are often severely injured, so she is transferred to the recovery centre for so-called treatment. But while there, the practitioner is injected with unknown drugs that destroy the nervous system, so after a while, she suffers from headaches and has a constant bitter taste in her mouth. -
Changchun Police Cruelly Persecuted Me
2007-10-04Since the persecution began in 1999 I have been arrested over ten times by police from the 610 Office in Changchun City, Jilin Province, and tortured so severely that my life has been in danger several times. In September 2001 police rampantly arrested dozens of Falun Dafa practitioners, including me. I was tortured with electric batons and my arms were pulled behind my back for several consecutive nights. My skin was torn and bloody from head to foot. The police blindfolded us and took us to Jingyuetang in Changchun, where there was a dark den where evil persecutors abused practitioners. I heard miserable screaming from many rooms where practitioners were tortured. The police also often took practitioners outside and beat them late at night. They covered practitioners' eyes with a black cloth, lest they recognise the place where they had been persecuted. -
Police Arrest Three Elderly Ladies in Li County, Hebei Province, Ransack Their Homes and Confiscate Their Property
2007-10-04On September 19th, 2007, three elderly ladies, Ms. Wen Zhen, Ms. Shu Mei and Ms. Cui Xiaoxian went to the Huagang Area to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. They were arrested by a group of police from Li County National Security Team. That same afternoon, the police ransacked their homes. The confidcated electrical equipment and took away all belongings of any value, leaving behind only a broken refrigerator. Ms. Shu Mei's grand daughter broke into tears when she returned home and saw the mess. She was too scared to sleep in the home that night. While the policemen ransacked their homes, they did not show any search warrant or ID, nor did they provide a log of the confiscated items or have any consent from witnesses or the victims' family members. -
Ms. Luo Xiangyin Taken into Custody While Teaching
2007-10-03Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Luo Xiangyin has been subjected to persecution many times by the Chinese Communist Party. On September 17th, 2007, while Ms. Luo was teaching in the Balipu Village Primary School, the principal called her into his office. She was then taken away by an officer of the State Security Division in Yi County, under the pretext that no one would be allowed to go to Beijing to appeal during the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 17th Congress. She was then taken to the Jinzhou City No. 2 Detention Centre. -
Urgent Call to Stop Persecuting Two Older Falun Gong Practitioners -- Ms. Li Chunmei and Ms. Ren Xueying
2007-10-02Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Li Chunmei and Ms. Ren Xueying, two older practitioners from Zhoukou City in Henan Province, have been detained and persecuted multiple times. At about 3:00 p.m. on August 24th, 2007, Ren Xueying and Li Chunmei were taken from their homes at the same time. Ms. Ren Xueying, 58, is a retired senior lecturer from the Zhoukou Sports School. After Ms. Ren's second Beijing appeal the persecutors sentenced her to one year and nine months of forced labour. Ms. Li Chunmei is an elderly retired employee from the Department of Logistics at Zhoukou Normal University. She was detained in a detention centre when she was critically ill from persecution. Her husband, unable to withstand the pressure of harassment from officials, beat her.
