Barbaric Brainwashing in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region Women's Prison

The Women's Prison has never stopped its persecution of practitioners since its illegal detention of them from the beginning. It uses long-term brainwashing sessions to continuously force practitioners to "transform". The various torture techniques commonly applied in the prison include confining practitioners in a small cell for a long period of time, electrically shocking them, hanging practitioners up by their handcuffs, force-feeding, instigating convicts to beat practitioners and putting them under a constant 24/7 monitoring schedule by the convicts. The imprisoned practitioners are not allowed to talk or smile. The convicts are instructed to read slanderous materials about Dafa to the practitioners non-stop. -
610 Office Agents Send Ms. Zhen Haiyan to Forced Labour Camp and Hide Evidence of Her Husband's Torture Death
2007-10-01On May 31st, 2007, Jiexi Police Station officers arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Yang Yuxin and his wife, Ms. Zhen Haiyan. The couple had been married for only one month. Police officer Zhang Shibin pointed a handgun at Mr. Yang Yuxin's head while four or five agents carried him to a vehicle. On August 27th, 2007, Mr. Yang Yuxin was tortured to death in police custody. After Mr. Yang had been tortured to death, on September 10th, officers arrested Ms. Zhen for the second time. While they were carrying out the arrest, they said, "You appealed, didn't you? We are arresting you because you appealed." Police fear that Ms. Zhen will sue them and their crimes will be exposed. They are hiding the evidence. -
The Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners in Shanghai City Women's Forced Labour Camp Is as Brutal as Ever
2007-10-01Currently, the Shanghai City 610 Office is still making use of its power to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. It sentenced female practitioners to labour camp for one to three years without evidence of any crime. Jiang Qiqiong specifically studied "psychology" in order to deceive practitioners with her evil "doctrine". In addition, she used other types of violence on practitioners, including forcing them to stand facing the wall, hanging them up in the air, confining them in solitary cells, depriving them of food and sleep, as well as verbal abuse. -
Police in Jining City, Shandong Province Arrested Mr. Li Ruifeng, Whose Deafness was Cured After Practising Falun Dafa
2007-10-01At around 6:00 a.m. on September 12th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Ruifeng, who was born as a deaf mute from Jining City, Shandong Province, was arrested by police. At the same time, his 70-year-old father and son were also arrested. The police also confiscated a computer, printer, copier, and Falun Dafa materials from his home, which filled up a whole truck. After practising Falun Dafa, Mr. Li's hearing problems improved. He could even communicate with other people with the help of a hearing aid. Before the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20th, 1999, his story was spread widely in Jining City. It was referred to as the miracle that happened to a deaf mute who could talk after practising Falun Dafa. -
The Brutal Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners by Qian'an Police in Hebei Province
2007-09-29Almost all of the practitioners were beaten or verbally abused in the brainwashing centre. Guards stepped on practitioner Mr. Pang Wendong's head and slapped his face fiercely; Mr. Song Naiwen was tortured until he was unconscious. The practitioners were given only three tenths of a pound of food daily and, as a result, became very skinny. Not only were the practitioners relentlessly tortured, the CCP also pressured their families and told them to participate in beating practitioners. When practitioners held hunger strikes, guards force-fed them; the victims' noses and mouths bled when the guards forcibly inserted feeding tubes into the practitioners' stomachs. -
Ms. Jin Huizhen of Shanghai Sent to Qingpu Women's Forced Labour Camp
2007-09-29
Ms. Jin Huizhen was taken into police custody on July 21st, 2007. When she arrived at the detention centre Ms. Jin's calves were black and blue, possibly from being kicked by the police On August 15th, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour on a charge of "distributing three pieces of Falun Gong materials. Other so-called "evidence" was the paper bag she left, containing--according to the authorities--125 pieces of leaflets exposing the persecution. According to her count, there were only 90 fliers. -
Mr. Zhang Junan and His Wife, Cai Baoju, from Shenyang City Secretly Sentenced in Liaoning Province
2007-09-28Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Junan and his wife, Ms. Cai Baoju were arrested by Taoxian police officers on June 24th, 2007. It has been confirmed that they were secretly sentenced without their family being notified, they were not permitted a public trial with a defence lawyer, and they never admitted to any wrongdoing. Mr. Zhang Junan, who was born with polio, was sentenced to six months in prison and Ms. Cai Baoju to three and a half years. -
Nearly 400 Falun Dafa Practitioners Tortured at the Second Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province
2007-09-27Practitioners imprisoned in the Second Women's Forced Labour Camp are tortured and forced to perform hard labour. There are four brigades in the camp. The majority of people in these brigades are practitioners, and the rest are drug abusers and religious believers. The torture practitioners suffer is getting worse and the time to do slave labour is getting longer. Practitioners are forced to get up at 4 a.m. and begin to work at 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. But, sometimes they have to work until midnight or 1 a.m. The skin on practitioners' bottoms often ruptures and becomes infected because of sitting on hard stools. Cushions are not allowed. Guards will confiscate it and berate practitioners if they find one. The food is awful. Drug abusers don't eat that food. Slave labour has become more backbreaking, practitioners lack nutritious food and there are many practitioners who faint. -
Panjin City National Security Bureau Officials Recently Arrested Many Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-09-26According to a preliminary investigation, numerous Falun Gong practitioners in Panjin City, Liaoning Province were recently arrested. Participating in the early morning arrests on August 30th, 2007 were officials from the National Security Bureau and local police stations. The practitioners were taken to the Panjin City Detention Centre in Shisanlipu. Two or more police cars were dispatched to each practitioner's home to carry out the arrests. These officials broke into Falun Gong practitioners' homes between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. that morning, arrested the practitioners and ransacked their homes. They also took money and personal belongings. The police knew the exact location of computers, printers and other equipment, and they carried a list of names and addresses. -
I Suffered Four Years in the Prisons of Heilongjiang Province
2007-09-26I am a Falun Gong practitioner in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. Staff from the local police department arrested me in May 2002. They cuffed me to a metal chair and took turns interrogating me. I refused to answer their questions, so the police verbally abused me and threatened me. A police officer surnamed Zhang slapped my face and hit my head. Another policeman surnamed Xue from the local 610 Office kicked me fiercely when I refused to answer the questions in the way he demanded. In the evening, I was locked to the leg of a desk inside the conference room and forced to sit on the floor with my back straight. The police took one-hour shifts monitoring me for the entire night. I was locked onto a mental chair for two days at the police department. Later, I was sent to a local detention centre and was held there for almost three months. -
The Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2007-09-25Because we cultivate Falun Dafa and believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," we were arrested by police and sentenced to forced labour. The guards always discussed how to make us suffer more. Under their instigation, drug offenders or prostitutes did their best to torture practitioners in order to decrease their prison terms. Their ruthlessness went to extremes. Innocent practitioners were tortured every day with beatings, being handcuffed with their arms behind their back, being hung up while handcuffed, shocked with electric batons, tied up with ropes, tortured with the "tiger bench", splashed with dirty water or excrement, being forced to stand for long hours, not allowed to go to the toilet, were deprived of sleep, not allowed to brush their teeth or wash their face, and so on. -
An Elderly Mother's Journey in Search of Her Daughter
2007-09-25I am over 70 years old. My daughter's name is Chen Man. In March of this year, my son-in-law, Zhang Weijie, disappeared on his way to work. My anxious daughter searched high and low for news of her husband. Only after two months of searching did she find out that he has been imprisoned by the local 610 Office in the Shenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. My daughter visited the brainwashing centre on several occasions to ask about her husband. On June 8th, when she went there again, she was imprisoned in the same Shenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. Even though she is perfectly harmless and was only trying to find her husband who practises Falun Dafa, she was arrested and imprisoned. She has broken not a single law in the country. -
Chuanying District Court in Jilin City Sentenced Five Practitioners after They Suffered Brutal Torture
2007-09-24On September 11th, 2007 Chuanying District Court in Jilin City, Jilin Province sentenced five Falun Gong practitioners to long prison terms. Agents in the Jilin City Police Department used the following methods to torture these practitioners: 1) Compressing the practitioners' legs with spiral steel bars (used to construct buildings). 2) Force-feeding them spicy mustard oil. 3) Handcuffing practitioners with their arms behind their back and brutally beating them. 4) Sexually assaulting a female practitioner by penetrating her with a wooden stick. 5) Using plastic implements to cover practitioners' faces so they could not breathe. 6) Force-feeding them with huge amounts of salt water. They are very weak now. -
610 Office in Baiding City Arrests Practitioner Ms. Sun Jingsu, a Kind Farmer, Breaking Into Her Home Late at Night
2007-09-24At about 3:30 a.m. on August 29th, 2007, National Security guards from the 610 Office in Baiding City, Hebei Province, broke into the home of Ms. Sun Jingsu. They entered by climbing over a wall and breaking through a window, and then forcibly took her away. They imprisoned Ms. Sun in a brainwashing centre and tried twice to send her to Shijiangzhuang City Forced Labour Camp, but the camp refused to take her because of her health condition. -
Ms. Yan Xiaoli Tortured in Brainwashing Centre in Hebei Province
2007-09-23Officers from the Zhuolu County 610 Office arrested Ms. Yan Xiaoli, took her to a brainwashing centre because she was caught exposing the truth of the persecution to people, and tortured her for over a month. Ms. Yan refused to cooperate during the brainwashing sessions. In retaliation, the guards forced her to stand still from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. They cut her meals from two to one per day, and each "meal" consisted of only a steamed bun and some pickled vegetables. On two occasions, the guards bound her to an "iron chair" . She was forced to lie still and was unable sleep for the entire night. The next morning, they forced her to resume standing. The guards shouted obscenities at her if she did not stand absolutely still. She was tortured like this for a week, and then was tortured psychologically.
