    On Sunday June 14 2009, the annual art festival was held in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It was a beautiful day with bright sunshine. Falun Gong practitioners from Scotland and northern England attended the festival and demonstrated the beauty of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa).
  • Croatia: Peaceful Protest to Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong during Hu Jintao's Visit

    Practitioners gathered on Zagreb's main square, handed out flyers and demonstrated the exercises. This peaceful gathering drew a lot of media attention. Most people had never heard about Falun Gong and were shocked to see the images of practitioners being tortured in China. The question on everyone's lips was, "Why are these people tortured?"
  • Germany: It is wonderful to have Falun Gong practitioners in the community!

    On June 14, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners set up an information stand at a community festival in Lindenau, to introduce Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa), a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Gong practitioners' information stand stood out in the crowd. Many people were attracted by the practice.
  • Turkey: Promoting Falun Gong at a Local Community Festival

    On the afternoon of June 7th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the Arnavutkoy Festival in the Besiktas District of Istanbul. They also gave a musical performance and handed out paper lotus flowers and flyers to introduce Falun Gong to the attendees. Many people expressed interest in Falun Gong and asked practitioners for more information.
  • Finland: Practitioners in Helsinki Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution in China

    On June 13th, Finnish practitioners held their regular activity in Helsinki. A young man came to the table with a smile, saying, "You are doing very well." He signed the petition condemning the CCP's persecution then said to the practitioners, "You are doing so well, so wonderful." He then discussed with his companions and watched the practitioners exercising quietly.
  • Germany: Information Day Held in Darmstadt

    On June 13, Falun Gong practitioners in Darmstadt, Germany, held a Falun Dafa Information Day, letting people know more about Falun Gong and exposing the persecution in China. Many tourists were attracted to the exercise demonstration. They accepted flyers and signed the anti-persecution petition. Some of them also wanted to learn the exercises.
  • Switzerland: People of Zurich Call for an End to the Persecution

    During the all day activity, some Chinese and Tibetans from China came to visit and they renounced the CCP right on the spot. A young man accepted a copy of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and some other materials. When asked about quitting CCP, he said happily that he had done that already. Some said they had already quit the CCP in China.
  • Turkish Version of Zhuan Falun Officially Published

    On May 29th 2009, the Turkish version of Zhuan Falun was officially published, and is being carried in bookstores around the country. Zhuan Falun is the most important book among many works that have been published by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. Zhuan Falun is the main book that systematically guides Falun Gong practitioners to cultivate.
  • Watford Observer (UK): Chinese woman's torture fear

    A Chinese woman has spoken of her horror after learning of her parents' arrest and possible torture because of their religious beliefs. "Nathalie", who has lived in England for nine years and in Watford for the past three years, discovered her parents' terrifying fate last week. She says the Chinese authorities are persecuting them because their belief in the Falun Gong religion, which has been banned in China for the last ten years.
  • Germany: People in Freiburg Show Their Support for Falun Gong – "We Wish You Success!"

    On June 13 2009, Falun Gong practitioners went to Freiburg im Breisgau, a popular sightseeing city for tourists. They held an activity in the city centre to raise awareness about Falun Gong and expose the brutal ten-year persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people signed a petition to support Falun Gong after learning about the situation.
  • TASR (Slovak): NGOs Condemn Police Action Outside Presidential Palace

    Bratislava, June 19 (TASR) - Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) condemn the intervention by Slovak police during protests outside Presidential Palace and demand that police ensure the protection of Slovak citizens and the rule of law, TASR was told on Friday...The organisations added that supporters of the Chinese communist regime and law enforcement forces took complete control of what was going on at Hodza Square, while Slovak police acted only as onlookers of the violence perpetrated by the Chinese (pro-Government) forces.
  • Chinese Agents' Attack on Falun Gong Practitioners Exposed by Media in Slovakia

    On June 19, 2009, the head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) visited Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Falun Gong practitioners held Falun Dafa Information Days on June 18 and 19 to expose the CCP's ten-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong and call for an end of the persecution. During the activities, CCP agents attacked the practitioners to stop their efforts to expose the persecution.
  • TASR (Slovakia): SDKU MPs Call on Kalinak to Explain Police Intervention at Protests

    Bratislava, June 19 (TASR) - According to Martin Pado and Pavol Kubovic from SDKU-DS, Interior Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD) should take part in the extraordinary session of the Defence and Security Parliamentary Committee on Tuesday and talk about the police intervention against demonstrators during the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao in Bratislava on Thursday.

    From June 1st to 3rd 2009, the Truth, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition was successfully held in one of Turkey’s cities, Antakya, which usually has the beautiful name of “the city of great forbearance”. The event received favourable comments from the local people of all backgrounds. Some important local media reported on this exhibition.
  • France: Rally in Paris Supports 55 Million Chinese Quitting the Chinese Communist Party

    On May 30 2009, the France Service Centre for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in Belleville, Paris. The rally was in support of the 55 million courageous Chinese people who have quit the CCP and drew the attention of passersby, including Chinese students and restaurant owners.
