Could it be my good friend I had come to know I was reading about? I opened my eyes widely and read on. It was then that I learned her full name, He Xiuling, and the sad news of her death on March 11, 2004. Another kindhearted person was now dead as a result of persecution at the hands of Chinese police officers. There was no one nearby when she died, and she didn't even have on any clothes. Instead, she wore a handcuff on one of her hands that locked her to the sickbed and a bandage wound around her waist. -
Commentary: From Staging the Tiananmen Self-Immolation to Hiring Gunmen to Attempt Assassination in South Africa
2004-07-06In the Tiananmen self-immolation incident, before police had even begun to investigate the case, Xinhua News Agency immediately claimed that Falun Gong practitioners were involved. In the South Africa assassination attempt, before the South African police had even begun an investigation, a Chinese Embassy spokesperson in South Africa issued a statement and asserted "the Chinese government has nothing to do with the incident." -

2004-07-06Shortly after that I received an e-mail from a colleague about an international qigong website. There I found Falun Dafa. I surfed through the site and opened “Essentials for Further Advancement”. I started to read and I was literally glued to the screen. So many wise words, such a noble spirit! You don’t run into this every day. My actions were automatic and I thirsted for more. As I was afraid of loosing the website or that my computer would fail, I immediately printed all forty six pages. -
Commentary: Jiang's Tortures Are Evil and Don't Even Stop at Death
2004-07-05I read a book that described all sorts of execution methods used throughout the world's history, many of which are pretty horrifying. Most victims of these brutal killings have been innocent religious believers. These execution methods and those people of faith who conquered their fear of death make me think of Falun Dafa practitioners today. Maybe their experiences are not as visibly horrifying as the scenes of early Christians being fed to lions, but the amount of their suffering is actually greater. -
My Sister Alumna Jiang Yan
2004-07-05Jiang Yan told me seriously, “In China, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested, sent to forced labour camps and tortured brutally. A lot of them have already been tortured to death. Falun Gong taught people to be truthful, compassionate and tolerant at all times. The Chinese government should not persecute these good people. -

2004-07-04Just after hearing the news that we were not allowed to display our banner, I thought that we must at least try again: this is the banner that the evil is most afraid of, and we must display it; this banner was allowed to display in other countries and other German cities; why not in Munich? I went to see the relevant people in the city administration council and hoped that they would approve our request. But they firmly refused my request and said that if I don’t agree with their decision, they would cancel permission for all our activities. -

2004-07-04Nothing in the world is really difficult or insurmountable. Once I understood that “every cause had an effect” or everything has two sides, my voice sounded as if I had practised for several hours daily. I suddenly recognised the importance and seriousness of my profession. I no longer held so many thoughts about my profession being a job or something artistic. Looking at what has been happening in mainland China, one will find that shooting freely has been one of the many ways the Jiang regime has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. This incident in South Africa is most likely just an extension of the Jiang group's state sponsored terrorism to overseas countries. -

I remember once, when I was very young, that one time my father was very upset. My mother told me that my father's second eldest brother died of esophageal cancer. That was 1962. Let Go of Pursuit and Progress with a Pure Mind
2004-07-02During my cultivation, I found that if I had pursuit in mind while trying to get rid of an attachment and cultivate myself, it would be difficult for me to progress forward on the issue. In other words, my cultivation would stagnate if I was pursuing something while trying to discard an attachment; the attachment would remain for a long time and I would be unable to progress in my cultivation diligently.
