Tragic Ends for Practitioners' Family Members Unable To Cope with Years of Relentless Persecution

In May 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Shuge was arrested while distributing Falun Dafa literature exposing the persecution. Later she was sentenced to forced labour for two and a half years at the Women's Forced Labour Camp in Beijing. According to eyewitness descriptions, Ms. Wang Shuge was regularly tortured and beaten. Her non-practitioner son who recently graduated from the university, committed suicide because he could not tolerate the stress of his mother's unjust imprisonment. Her husband, also unable to endure the pressure of the Chinese Communist Party's long term persecution, sold the house and moved away. -
Two Practitioners from Tianjin City and Liaoning Province Die After Enduring Years of Persecution
2008-01-24After the persecution of Falun Gong started, Ms. Wang went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was arrested both times and was detained in the Huanren County Detention Centre, where guard Cheng Xianliang (male) shocked her head with two electric batons, and forced her to wear ankle shackles for nine days. After being released, her employer and the County Communist Party Political and Judiciary Committee members threatened her several dozen times and arranged for her colleagues to watch her closely. After Ms. Wang was detained for the third time, she was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In the long eight years of persecution, Ms Wang and her family have been constantly harassed and threatened. Ms. Wang Yan died on October 20th, 2007. -
Who Really Caused the Death of Mr. Wang Zhanshan?
2008-01-20In February 2006, police arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Li. Liu Li went on a hunger strike as a non-violent means of protesting the detention, but she ended up facing the brutal torture of force-feeding as a punishment for her protest. Her non-practitioner husband, Wang Zhanshan, and the rest of the family spent more than 20,000 yuan as bribe money to get Liu Li out but she remained in detention. In 2006, Liu Li was sentenced to three years in Changchun Women's Prison. Mr. Wang suffered from a severe hereditary disease and now did not have his wife to look after him. Due to the tremendous depression of losing his wife, Wang Zhanshan hung himself. Who really killed Wang Zhanshan? -
Mr. Yu Guoxi Dies as a Result of Torture at the Benxi City Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province
2008-01-18Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Guoxi was arrested by police from the County Department in March 2005 while at home, detained for one month, and sentenced to three years of forced labour. He suffered two years and three months of terrible conditions and torture in the Weiningying Forced Labour Camp located in Benxi City. He was released in July 2007 because he was severely ill. He never recovered after returning home, and died in December 2007 at the age of 56. -
Mr. Qi Zhengui Dies after Being Sentenced to Forced Labour Twice
2008-01-18Mr. Qi Zhengui, 69, was sentenced to two years of forced labour on a charge of "carrying Falun Gong materials in 2000." In June 2005, police arrested him again went he went to the Hengshui City 610 Office with 80-year-old Ms. Kang Yanxiang to enquire after her son's whereabouts. Mr. Qi was sentenced to three years of forced labour again and taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp. This brutal mistreatment caused his physical condition to worsen, and he died on September 5th, 2007. -
Ms. Gao Zhenxiu Died as a Result of Persecution in Tianjin City
2008-01-17Ms. Gao Zhenxiu went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was arrested, detained twice, and sentenced to forced labour for 18 months. She was tortured in Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp for eight months. Her health declined while she was in the labour camp, and her family bailed her out for medical treatment. Sadly, she died on January 2nd, 2008, as a result of the huge mental and physical pressure. -
Mr. Xiong Xiuyou Dies While in Prison
2008-01-16Mr. Xiong Xiuyou was twice sentenced to prison terms for practising Falun Dafa. Both terms were served in the Deyang City Prison. On December 14th, Mr. Xiong's wife rushed to the Police General Hospital after receiving notice that her husband was dying. Prison Office Chairman Wu said to her, "Since Xiong Xiuyou has not cooperated with our treatments, if he dies, all costs and responsibilities are yours!" He died on December 16th, 2007, while serving his second term in prison. His family has been threatened by the Prison Administration not to reveal any details of his death to the outside world. -
Insidious Nature of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Exposed--Practitioner Wu Jiuping Beaten and Thrown from the Fourth Floor by Police Officers in Tianchang City
2008-01-12Falun Gong practitioner Wu Jiuping previously worked for the People's Hospital in Tianchang City, Anhui Province. On November 22nd, four policemen and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel went to Wu Jiuping's apartment and beat him until he was seriously injured and lost consciousness. In order to cover up their crime, the police officers threw him from the fourth floor of his building and then left. Mr. Wu passed away about 8:00 p.m. that night after he was taken to People's Hospital. -
Ms. Li Rong Died As a Result of Mental and Physical Torture in Prison
2008-01-12Ms. Li Rong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and police ransacked her home and arrested her. They made a mess and took her two sons' military retirement IDs. They forced both of her sons' employers to fire them, cancelling all their housing funds, retirement pensions, and medical insurance. Ms. Li Rong was sentenced to four years in prison in 2002. Guard Li Xiaohong (female) once dragged Ms. Li so far that her shoes fell off and her clothes were torn from her body. Li Xiaohong stuffed her mouth with rags and had about five prisoners lock her in a small cell for one year. There was water and faeces on the floor. Guard Li Xiaohong collaborated with doctors to put unknown drugs in her meals, causing her to suffer a mental collapse. Later, her whole body became swollen, and she had difficulty breathing and was in great pain. She died in November 2007. -
Mr. Tang Jiuli Died Soon After He Was Taken Into Police Custody
2008-01-10Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Tang Jiuli, who is in his seventies, was a doctor living in Sichuan Province. On December 26th, 2007, police arrested Mr. Tang Jiuli and two other practitioners: Mr. Chen Zhixue (in his fifties) and Mr. Yang Jinzhong (in his fifties). They ransacked the three practitioners' homes and took them into custody at the Xinglong Town Police Station for several hours. Mr. Tang Jiuli died the next day at home. -
Mr. Wu Jinkui Dies after Becoming Paralysed Due to Brutal Beatings
2008-01-09Mr. Wu Jinkui, 57, was arrested and detained several times for practising Falun Gong. Mr. Wu was held in a forced labour camp from March 2001, to February 2002. As a result he lost sight in both eyes, his legs were deformed and he became unable to walk. In May 2004, Mr. Wu Jinkui was arrested once again and detained for two months. He was beaten until he was severely injured and paralysed. An x-ray taken in 2007 in a hospital in Changsha City showed that his entire spine was deformed due to the injuries. He died on May 16th, 2007. -
More Practitioners Die from Persecution in Hebei and Heilongjiang Provinces and Tianjin City
2008-01-06Practitioner Ms. Kang Shurong lived in Tianjin City. She went to Beijing to appeal in 2000, and was taken back by police and sentenced to 18 months of forced labour on December 25th, 2000. In the Tianjin City Women's Forced Labour Camp a drug-addict inmate was ordered to force Ms. Kang to stand for a prolonged period of time when her blood pressure was very high. She was tortured until she was close to death, then bailed out for medical treatment. Police constantly harassed her after she returned home. She died around August 2002, at about 47 years of age. -
Ms. Yu Fengchun Dies as a Result of Persecution in Heilongjiang Province
2008-01-05During the past eight years of persecution, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Fengchun was arrested five times and detained and harassed multiple times. On August 31st, 2007, officers from the Chang'an Station stormed into Ms. Yu's home, ransacked her place, took her personal belongings, and threatened her. During her detention, her old sickness recurred, and she died on December 27th, 2007, at the age of 43. -
70-Year-Old Mr. Guo Changyou Dies as a Result of Persecution in Heilongjiang Province

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Guo Changyou, 70, lived in Harbin City. He was known as a very kind person that loved to help others, and was loved by all of his friends and family. In 2001, Mr. Guo was sent to a forced labour camp for a two year-term, where he contracted severe tuberculosis. His wife was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2002, and she is detained in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Mr. Guo was extremely worried when he heard about his wife being tortured in the prison. His illness worsened and he died on December 2nd, 2007. -
The Deaths of Four Practitioners in Wuxue City, Hubei Province, Due to Persecution
2008-01-05People who knew Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Feng Yingxiu, Mr. Zhao Zhidan, Mr. Guo Maoquan, and Rev. Mei Zhongquan in Wuxue City, Hubei Province, thought they died due to illnesses. But our investigations indicate that they died as a result of the persecution launched by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in July 1999. Mr. Guo Maoquan was in his 50s. He had been healthy before and after he began practising Falun Gong in 1997. However, in late 2000, he was taken away by police and put into sack and beaten. Later he was taken to Wuhan City's Shizishan Forced Labour Camp, where he was beaten and kicked in the chest by criminal inmates, which injured his lungs. After being released, his wounds ulcerated and led to his death.
