  • United Kingdom: Tolerance and Compassion Helps to Spread the Truth in Cambridge

    The recent economic growth in China has made a portion of people rich and more Chinese people are travelling to the UK. Giving up their time every weekend, Falun Gong spend the day in Cambridge city centre raising awareness about Falun Gong among Chinese visitors and tourists from all over the world. They call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Switzerland: Spreading the Truth about Falun Gong Throughout the Country

    When talking about Switzerland, would one think of the Maiden Peak perennially covered with pure white snow and Luzern with pleasing scenery of the lakes and mountains? Or of Geneva and Zurich, the international metropolises full of the flavour of modern times? Or of sweet smelling and palatable chocolates, accurate wrist watches and the army knives of excellent workmanship? There are some miraculous stories behind the spreading of Falun Gong in Switzerland.
  • Belgium: Before the Europe China Dialogue, European Parliament Focuses on the CCP Human Rights Record

    On 10th October 2007, before the human rights dialogue between the EU and China, the European Parliament held a press conference about human rights in China and freedom of belief. It was run by the Vice Chairman of the European Parliament, Edward McMillan-Scott, who requested the CCP to release all Falun Gong practitioners before the dialogue.
  • Ireland: “We Will Wake Up People with Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”

    In downtown Dublin, a ceremony and rally for the arrival of the Human Rights Torch were held. The purpose of the torch relay is to call upon the international society to pay attention to the human rights violations and the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and to ask them to boycott the 2008 Olympics if they are held by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
  • Germany: Opening Ceremony at the Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition

    The opening ceremony of the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition” sponsored by Mayor Roland Kern, took place on September 7th 2007 at 7:30pm. Mayor Kern stressed in his opening speech that this incredible exhibition was discussed by the city’s officials under the theme “Art is Tolerant” and allowed to proceed by the members.
  • Austria: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Vienna

    On October 14th, Austrian practitioners held an information day at the famous Naschmarkt, a popular market square in Vienna, to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhumane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The Naschmarkt is where the heart of the Chinese community is, and it attracts a lot of Chinese shoppers on weekends.
  • Sweden: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Capital City Stockholm

    On 14th October 2007, the Olympic Human Rights Torch Relay arrived in the Swedish capital Stockholm. Stockholm is the 22nd city since the start of the Relay initiated by CIPFG on 9th August. Swedish relay runner Per-Arne Brjesson took the lead in carrying the torch through Stockholm.
  • Germany: Support in Munich for Withdrawals from the CCP ahead of the National Day of Mourning

    Setting up banners reading “Support twenty-six million withdrawals from the CCP” and laying out photos that exposed the CCP’s crimes against Chinese people during its reign, Falun Gong practitioners gathered together ahead of the National Day of Mourning to support Chinese people quitting the CCP and to welcome the re-birth of the Chinese nation.
  • Sweden: Swedish Practitioners Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy in Gothenburg

    October 1st is the day the Chinese people lost their national day. In order to protest against the CCP's brutal persecution against Falun Gong since 1999, a group of practitioners in Gothenburg gathered at the Chinese Embassy, protesting against eight years of persecution, and requesting the CCP stops the persecution immediately.
  • Germany: Saxony Day in Reichenbach Vogtland

    Despite rainy weather, around 300,000 people went to Saxony Day. The celebrations ended with a parade that wound through the entire city. Around 100,000 people watched this parade. Practitioners from different areas in Germany came because this was a great opportunity to tell the truth about the persecution to a large amount of people.
  • Poland: “What you are doing today is really good, really terrific!”

    During a series of events on the days preceding the European Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference held in Warsaw last month, over 100 MPs signed a petition to support Falun Gong within one day. Besides the recognition and support from political circles and media in Poland, the support from ordinary people also touched Falun Gong practitioners from Europe. On September 21st and 22nd Falun Gong practitioners held a parade and rally in the city centre, which was given widespread coverage by the media.
  • Sweden: Human Rights Torch Relay Receives Massive Support in Gothenburg

    On October 8th, the Human Rights Torch Relay arrived in Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg. MPs from seven different parties gave speeches at the event and many human rights organisations, artists and young athletes were there showing their support. They all condemned the persecution of the Chinese people by the CCP regime.
  • Germany: Exposing the CCP’s Persecution in Stuttgart

    On September 29th, practitioners introduced Falun Gong to the people in Stuttgart. At the same time they exposed the more than eight years of persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime. While one practitioner demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, some visitors wanted to know where they could learn the practice.
  • Sweden: Human Rights Torch Reaches Malmö

    On the 7th of October, the Global Human Rights Torch arrived in Sweden’s third biggest city, Malmö after leaving the Danish capital Copenhagen. Sydsvenskan (Swedish Southern Daily) TV station and many local newspapers reported on the event. Many politicians and a famous singer came to the event to call for human rights in China.
  • Holland: Human Right Torch Arrives in Dutch Political Capital The Hague

    On October 3rd 2007, the Human Rights Torch Relay initiated by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) arrived in the Netherlands’ political capital The Hague, which was the first stop of the Relay in the Netherlands. Among those who participated in the relay were musicians, poets and representatives from all walks of life.
