A policewoman named Wang Ying from Dalian Detention Centre frequently carries out orders to persecute practitioners. No matter how severely ill a practitioner in the detention centre is, she always tries to send him or her to Dabei Prison for intensified persecution. Qu Meie was one of her victims. Wang attempted to move Qu to Dabei Prison on two occasions, but due to a serious heart condition, Qu was rejected on both occasions. Wang Ying then sent her to the Prisoners' Hospital nearby. -

2003-12-22He was beaten to the brink of death, and was sent to the Yongning Hospital on January 5, 2001. He died after rescue efforts failed. His body was covered with bruises. Wu Simin's older brother found the Director of the local police substation, and told him that he would sue them. The former Assistant Director Zheng Jianmin said, "Can you afford a lawsuit? You can't win no matter what the circumstances. We officials look out for each other." -

2003-12-22In order to further devastate Dafa practitioners' physically and mentally, the guards did not allow Dafa practitioners to sleep or even close their eyes. Thugs were put on four shifts every day watching practitioners. Some practitioners were forced to sit on a small stool for all day and night for over a month. Some practitioners were sleepy and fell down to the ground from the stool. One practitioner was not allowed to close her eyes for five days and nights. Finally, this caused her to become schizophrenic. -

2003-12-22He only had the final oral exam and essay remaining to fulfill in order to acquire his postdoctoral degree from HIT. Dr. Lin anxiously waited for his advisor at HIT to notify him to complete the final stage of the postdoctoral program. However, the notification he anxiously anticipated turned out to be a bomb: in October 2002, HIT officially terminated his postdoctoral research work and withdrew his postdoctoral candidacy. Meanwhile, the Quanzhou City Public Security Bureau refused to give him a legal address, or register him as a legal resident in Quanzhou. -

Yanli lost her residence after the school expelled her; and she could not gain residence at home because the Dongsan Road Police Station refused to accept her application because she practised Dafa. Yanli's ailing father was unable to suffer any more hardship and coercion; he passed away on December 2, 2002 at only 54, leaving his 13-year-old son who was being cared for by Yanli's uncle. A good family was destroyed. -

2003-12-21When she arrived at the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Centre, the merciless guards took no consideration of her fragile condition, but handcuffed and then hung her in a confinement cell in Lanzhou City Labour Camp. She was not allowed to sleep, drink water, or even use the toilet. She was continuously cuffed and hung for days and nights. 60 Year Old Lady Ms. Zhang Dabi Tortured to Death
2003-12-19The labour camp refused to accept Ms. Zhang becuase of her physicial condition. But the reasons behind their refusal reveal a chilling disregard for human life. Based on Jiang Zemin's persecution policy, each forced labour camp gets a "death quota", or "the number of Falun Gong practitioners a forced labour camp is allowed to have die in the camp." Each forced labour camp is also rewarded for making a Falun Gong practitioner renounce his/her belief in Falun Gong. The camp officials did not want to forfeit one of their death quota numbers for a dying Falun Gong practitioner without obtaining their reward from making her renounce Falun Gong.
