The Truth About Jiutai Forced Labour Camp's Persecution of Dafa Practitioners

There are still evildoers committing their savagery in Jilin Province's Jiutai Forced Labour Camp. Although the guards have established a "no beating and no cursing" rule, because of detained practitioners' firm resistance and outside practitioners' exposure of the guards' crimes on the Internet, they still do bad things secretly.

This April, the labour camp started to play the game of forcing practitioners to give up practice. Under the guise of "setting up a class" they added a name and changed the location of the persecution, but their lies, crazy beatings and verbal abuse remain the same. The guards isolated newly detained practitioners from other practitioners in an attempt to cover up their crimes. The guards in the so-called "educational team" are extremely evil. They are the ones who keep beating practitioners in order to force them to give up their resistance and faith in Dafa.

Several cruel policemen beat practitioner Wang Yunliang with electric batons. One of them is named Meng. Practitioners in another team were also frequently beaten and verbally abused. On May 13, six Dafa practitioners tried to escape from the camp together, but were caught, taken back and fiendishly beaten.

The authorities persecute practitioners with intensified surveillance and by confining them in solitary[1]. Dafa practitioners are given only a small piece of cornbread for each meal, and their time to use the toilet is limited. When a practitioner could no longer hold his bladder, he wet the bed and two guards named Deng Xueshan and Song Quanguo even forced him to drink the urine.

Now the cruel guards block all information about and from the practitioners, forbidding them to watch TV or read a newspaper. Instead, everyday they repeat the propaganda which everyone is familiar with by now. In late August, when the educational team broadcast the lies in each class, practitioner Luo Guang destroyed two of their videotapes. The political instructor Meng Fanrong and team leader Li Xiaochun savagely beat Luo until his ears exuded pus and his head was so hurting as if being pricked with pins.

In order to protest this illegal detention, some practitioners refused to wear the jail uniforms and went on hunger strike. Team leader Yan from the educational team was extremely vicious. He foul-mouthed them all day and crazily shouted, "Those who don't want to wear the prison clothing and are on hunger strikes are trying to give me trouble. I will give you trouble, too." Some practitioners who were on hunger strike were pulled away, being dragged along the floor.

[1] The so-called "being confined in a solitary compartment" refers to locking up a single detainee in a solitary cell, which contains a basin and a pair of handcuffs. The basin is used both for face washing and relieving bowels and bladder. One end of the handcuffs fastens the wrist and the other end attaches to the door railing. The handcuffs can be fastened onto the door railing at three different heights. In the highest position, the detainee has to extend his/her arm upward. The middle position is at waist level. In the lowest position, the detainee can sit on the ground.
