Torture method: Choking with Smoke, Force-Feeding with Wine: Two cigarettes are lit and inserted into the practitioner's nostrils. His mouth is covered, to suffocate him. The suffocation and choking is very painful. The persecutors also inhumanly force-feed practitioners with wine (practitioners don't drink). -
Mr. Wang Xuxiong Suffered Torture Resulting in the Loss of the Use of His Feet after Protesting the Injustice Inflicted Upon Practitioners in His Area
2004-10-01Mr. Wang Xuxiong was lured to a forced brainwashing class in Guizhou Province and subjected to torture because he courageously stepped out to protest the persecution of practitioners in the area. Mr. Wang Xuxiong had practised Falun Gong in the past so he knew the fact that Falun Gong is a good practice. The torture and injustice eventually led him to jump out of the building and subsequently fracture his feet. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Pan Qichu from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in 2003
2004-09-30Mr. Pan Qichu was a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. He was a very strong man in good health. Around May 20, 2003, police of Yichun City Police Department arrested him. He was put into a detention centre. On June 2, 2003, he was persecuted to death. The details of his death are being investigated. -
A Letter from Dalian City Forced Labour Camp Reveals Persecution Facts
2004-09-30From October 27 to November 10, 2003, the head of Division No. 8 went to an annual meeting held in Changsha City, to discuss the systematic persecution of steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. The persecutors exchanged abuse, mistreatment, torment, and torture methods at the meeting and discussed how to best force practitioners to give up their beliefs. After he returned to the labour camp he implemented and directed policies to systematically brainwash more than twenty steadfast practitioners by group and by session. Practitioners were often subjected to violence, corporal punishment, and forced to endure various torture instruments. -

2004-09-30Torture method: Reining with a stick in the mouth and agitating the mouth with a stick: Prison guards force a practitioner to sit on a metal chair and handcuff his hands and feet. They put a wooden stick wrapped with a towel to his mouth and tighten it to his neck with ropes. Prison guards sometimes insert the end of a stick into a practitioner's mouth and agitate it forcefully to cause pain and injury. Then they apply concentrated salt solution to his mouth to torture him. It is extremely painful. -
Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province Pulled Out Falun Dafa Practitioner's Toenails with Pliers
2004-09-30Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Pan Wei from Nong'an County, Jilin Province, was abducted by the local police station in 2002 and then sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp for one and a half years. He was beaten badly in order to force him to renounce Falun Dafa and vicious thugs ripped out his toenails with pliers. -
Changle Forced Labour Camp Extorts Money from Falun Dafa Practitioners
2004-09-30Changle Forced Labour Camp charges Falun Dafa practitioners 30 yuan per day per person, plus their lodgings at 60 yuan per day per person. Falun Dafa practitioners must also pay ten yuan each day for their extremely poor food. In total, the cost for each practitioner is 250 yuan per day. Up to 13 Falun Dafa practitioners are being force-brainwashed at any given time, bringing in approximately 3,000 yuan per day for the labour camp from this brainwashing centre. -
A Practitioner and Her Family Endure Five Years of Persecution
2004-09-29Two police claiming to be responsible for the security in my area also came to visit. One of them kept telling me: Why are you practising Falun Gong? Why not practise something else? While he was talking, he kept searching my household. I realized I would be arrested when I saw that the road we were taking wasn't the way to my office. They took me to the Third Affiliated Hospital (a mental hospital) of Beijing Medical School. I tried to escape, but they guarded all the car doors. Four men (two police, my colleague and my husband) each took hold of my limbs and carried me into the hospital hallway. I struggled to try to free myself. I cried out: "I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I am not a mental patient." -
Practitioners Brutally Tortured in Detention Centre in Hebei Province
2004-09-29In the morning the prison guards forced the practitioners into the passageway and made them kneel down. One of the guards, Liu, in his 30's, lashed them one by one with a belt. Two practitioners were then called to come out of the yard gate. The director of the detention centre suddenly kicked them down onto a steep slope head first. Four criminal prisoners came up and restrained the practitioners by their hands so that they could not move at all. The director was kicking one practitioner's forehead while two criminal prisoners forced a meter-long steel pipe into the practitioner's mouth. They did the same thing to the other practitioner. Their mouths were horribly damaged. -
Atrocities in Beijing Labour Camp Dispatch Centre and Women's Forced Labour Camps
2004-09-29College students often visited the women's labour camp, and occasionally foreigners came. The courtyard looks like a garden; when visitors came, there would be music playing in the courtyard. People who were detained for forced labour would be gathered together in the conference hall, watching TV. Nobody would know that it was a show staged by camp authorities for the purpose of deceiving people into thinking conditions were good there. the reality is many Falun Gong practitioners have been physically and mentally tortured there. -
A Former Female Prison Guard's Story (Part 1)
2004-09-29My name is Wang Shuzhen and I used to work in Jilin prison. I started practising Falun Gong in 1994. Having benefitted so much from the practice, I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on October 1, 2000. I witnessed the Jiang regime's bloody genocide of those that practise "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." For my appeal, I was sentenced to two years of forced labour and fired from my job. From the detention centre in Beijing to the labour camp in Jilin, fellow practitioners and I endured endless mental and physical abuse. -
Ms. Qu Shufen, A Farmer from Hebei Province, Was Persecuted to Death
2004-09-28In late 2001 as she was clarifying the truth to people, Ms. Qu Shufen, a farmer from Hebei Province, was detained and persecuted by policeman Gong Jingwen from the National Security Section. Both her mind and body were severely damaged as a result of abuse at the hands of the police. Upon her return home, it was apparent that Ms. Qu had suffered a mental collapse. She died, a victim of injustice, at the end of 2003. -
Wuhan City Finance Department Offers Huge Cash Rewards to Incite the Hewan Labour Camp to Brutally Persecute Dafa Practitioners
2004-09-28Hewan Labour Camp in Wuhan City, Henan Province is designated for male Falun Gong practitioners. Gao Junan, the person in charge of this section, once told some inmates that for every Falun Gong practitioner that they successfully "transformed", the labour camp would give 100,000 yuan to the section as a reward. The funding was from the city's Finance Department. This explains why the police resorted to all kinds of vicious means to torture practitioners in an attempt to force them to renounce their belief. -

The Torture Experienced by Yao Yanhui of Shijiazhuang City in the Detention Center and Forced Labour Camp
2004-09-27Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yao Yanhui is 31 years old this year. He lives in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. In Huludao City Forced Labour Camp and Wujiapuzi Forced Labour Camp of Fushun City, he suffered all kinds of torture and became paralysed in bed for about six months as a result. He went on a hunger strike for over two months and was on the verge of death before he was released. At the beginning of 2004, he was abducted and tortured again by the Xinhua Police Precinct of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province.
