    French police, who were unaware of the truth about Falun Gong, arrested practitioners.   • Assistant Director of Chinese Anti-Cult Association (CACA) Wang Yusheng Is Sued in Switzerland

    On the afternoon of April the 16th 2004, the Transnational Radical Party, a permanent international non-governmental organization in the Geneva United Nations Office, held a special meeting on the subject of Genocide. During the meeting, a Swiss attorney representative Ms. Boone announced a lawsuit against the Assistant Director of the Chinese Anti-Cult Association, Wang Yusheng. This was the second lawsuit prepared by Swiss Falun Gong practitioners against a Chinese government official. The first one was initiated in 2003 against the former Chinese President Jiang.

    The spokesman for the Irish Falun Dafa Association said, ”China has widely used forced labour from the labour camps and prisons to produce goods for export.   • Finland: Practitioners in Helsinki Let People Know the Facts about the Persecution of Faun Gong during the Chinese Foreign Minister’s Visit

    On the 20th of April, during the Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit to Finland, Falun Dafa practitioners in Finland clarified the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in central Helsinki. After leaving the port terminal, the first thing the minister's retinue saw was practitioners’ peaceful appeal with banners reading, “Falun Dafa is Great” and “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice.”

    On the Saturday morning practitioners met in an Edinburgh park to practise the Falun Gong exercises together. Practitioners agreed that practising the exercises together outside was very different to practising by oneself at home and everyone benefited from the strong energy field and serene atmosphere.
  • Young Wife and Child Left Heartboken as 30 year old Mr. Wang Dayuan Beaten to Death in Harbin First Prison

    Mr. Wang Dayuan, 30 years old, was a teacher at the Computer Science and Technology Institute of Harbin Industry University. In November of 2002, the police unlawfully arrested him and ransacked his home. He received an eight-year prison term to be served at Harbin First Prison. He was tortured to death on April 5, 2004. The prison leaders tried to shift responsibility by saying that three criminal inmates beat Mr. Wang to death. We all know that the criminal inmates would not dare to commit such a crime without being ordered to by the police. The unexpected sad news brought Mr. Wang's family enormous pain. The young wife, young child, and elderly parents can no longer see their most beloved one.

    Slovakian Falun Gong practitioners visited more than 100 Slovak cities and towns to deliver information about the persecution of Falun Gong in China during Easter 2004. As the practitioners put up information posters, passers-by stopped to find out more. After learning the truth, they also expressed their opposition to this persecution.

    'Seventy million people are being persecuted, and brutally so. About 100 000 practitioners have been put in jail: women, people any age…There are over 800 documented cases of people who have been tortured to death, but it talks for itself: the real number is much higher. They also try to force the practitioners to give up their belief, to sign statements; they send them to brain washing classes and forced labour camps. It is a very, very sad situation.'

    After Falun Gong practitioners were detained arbitrarily in Paris due to pressure from the Jiang regime’s lies, they decided to contact all MPs in France to tell them about this incident that violated human rights in France.
