  • Germany: A Falun Gong Practitioner Handed a Petition to the President

    On the first day of their holiday, President Koehler publicly invited local people and tourists to visit the Arber with him and climb to the peak of the hill. On learning the news, local Falun Gong practitioners felt that this was a good opportunity to see the president on such an occasion and tell him about Falun Gong face to face while handing him a petition.
  • Spain’s Oldest Newspaper Reports on Falun Gong Practice and the Persecution in China

    Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance are universal principles that were too demanding for the Chinese Government. Each year China tops the lists of human rights violations, torture or the implementation of capital punishment that are published by the most prestigious independent organisations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch. This intolerance has afflicted Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Seminar on Communism and Democracy held at the United Nations in Geneva

    A Communism and democracy seminar was held by an international inter-faith organisation at the United Nations. Several organisations took part in the seminar. Russian writer Mr. Marejko, former Xinhua news agency journalist Mr. Bao Zhang Wu, a Chinese student in Switzerland and The Epoch Times journalist Mr. Grangier were invited to give speeches at the meeting.
  • Sweden: Children Perform the Lotus Garden at a Folk Music Festival

    Between the 14th and 16th of July, children from different parts of Sweden performed a dance called Lotus Garden during a folk music festival in the Swedish county of Dalarna. The young dancers, aged between four and ten years old, moved slowly and beautifully to sounds inspired by traditional Chinese music. Hundreds of people passed through the area.
  • France: Falun Gong Practitioners were Invited to Attend the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health

    The University of Paris played host to the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health from July 2nd to 8th 2005. Experts, academics and witnesses to the persecution of Falun Gong were invited to attend the mental health summit and talk about persecution against the practice.
  • Letter: ”The Swedish Government can never accept that people are persecuted

    The Swedish Government has repeatedly indicated its repudiation of the maltreatment of Falun Gong practitioners in China. It has been done in both direct deliberations with the Chinese government and through calls and addresses in the EU circuit. You can be sure that the Government also will continue to monitor the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners in China in the future. People who are persecuted because of their faith or political views, is something that the Swedish Government can never accept. We all have the responsibility to dare to stand up in the struggle for freedom of religion and human rights."
  • Russia: Practitioners Let People Know the Truth

    A lot of pedestrians stopped in front of the exhibition boards and looked carefully. They raised various kinds of questions to our practitioners and wanted to understand more about the persecution. One old lady spent a long time in front of the exhibition boards that exposed the cruel torture. After having finished reading the introduction, she touched softly those practitioners being tormented in the pictures while shedding tears. She showed sympathy and concern about the persecution of good people. People in front of the exhibition boards were moved by her.
  • Italy: Rome Officials Do Not Bow to Pressure from the Chinese Embassy

    A series of important cultural activities were held in Rome’s famous University of La Sapienza. This cultural activity covered various performances such as sports, arts, general science and human rights issues. Many organisations, including Amnesty International, were invited and joined the activity.
  • United Kingdom: The Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition was held at St. Martin-in-the-Fields

    Practitioners distributed two thousand flyers outside the building where the exhibition was held. A lot of people came to appreciate the paintings because of this. One gentleman came to see the exhibition from London's west end. He learned about the exhibition from the leaflet he got in front of the Tate Museum, where practitioners held activities on the 20th of July.
  • BBC: Ma Yingjiu Declares Support for Falun Gong and Criticises the Anti-Secession Law

    The BBC Chinese website published a report on 8th August 2005 entitled: “Ma Yingjiu: Standing Strongly Against the CCP with China”. The report says, Mr. Ma Yingjiu, the new leader of the Taiwanese Kuomintang Party, said to a Chinese Times reporter during an interview on Jinmen Island: “Justice for June 4th, support Falun Gong, criticise the anti-secession law. These viewpoints will not be silenced just because I have become the president of the Taiwanese Kuomintang party.”
  • France: Falun Gong Practitioners charge Li Yuanwei, Former Head of the 610 Office in Liaoning

    Recently, the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) learned that an evil person called Li Yuanwei — who has been taking a controlling role in the genocide against Falun Gong as chief of the management branch of Lingyuan Prison and head of the 610 Office* in Liaoning Province — was visiting France to do some research. Practitioners in France and from other countries worked together to collect and translate criminal evidence of Li Yuanwei’s activities in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. On the morning of the 19th of July, the French Falun Gong Association filed a lawsuit on behalf of those Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted and charged Li Yuanwei with being responsible for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Russia: Exposing the Persecution with Lotus Flowers at a Folk Festival in Saint Petersburg

    Many people came to participate in the activity. All over the world, people have been making paper lotus flowers as part of the 'Petals of Peace' project to call for an end to the persecution against Falun Gong and to highlight the plight of the many orphans left in China after the suppression against Falun Gong has taken the lives of their parents.
  • France: "Compassion can dissolve heaven and earth" — A Story about Exposing the facts at the Eiffel Tower

    Among a group of tourists from China, some were listening to the song whilst carefully reading the display posters exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. Some wept while others listened to the explanation of the facts about the persecution by Falun Gong practitioners. They stayed for quite a while.
  • France: People in Paris District 11 Support Falun Gong Practitioners' Human Rights

    A series of activities to promote Falun Gong in Paris took us to District No. 11 in the east of the city. Many of the inhabitants in this district are newly rich people who have made their own way in the past several decades, and most of whom are middle class. We held this activity to let them know about Falun gong and the brutal persecution against the practice in China.
  • United Kingdom: The Call from Thames River Bank — “Stop the Persecution and Rescue Falun Gong Practitioners' Orphans”

    UK Falun Gong practitioners held activities in front of the Tate Modern Gallery by the side of the river Thames in London city. The event called for an immediate end to the persecution in China against innocent Falun Gong practitioners and promoted efforts to rescue the orphans of those practitioners who have been persecuted to death.
