  • Sweden: Practitioners Gather in Front of the Chinese Consulate to Protest Against the Murder of Gao Rongrong

    News that Chinese Communist Party disfigured Gao Rongrong using electric batons and later killed her on 16th June 2005 has shocked the world. On 24th June 2005, practitioners in Gothenburg and some other cities nearby gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to strongly condemn the CCP's brutality and atrocities, and to demand punishment for Gao Rongrong's murderers.
  • Russia: Exposing the Persecution on Arbat Square in Moscow

    Russian practitioners held an activity on Arbat Square in Moscow city centre to call for an end to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many people approached practitioners to find out more about the human rights abuses happening to Falun Gong in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • United Kingdom: London Chinese Embassy Appeal after Gao Rongrong is Tortured to Death

    On June 21st 2005, UK practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in London to protest against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong (pictured) and taking her life. Gao died on June 16th, following nearly two years of incarceration, brainwashing, and torture for her beliefs.
  • Slovakia: Persecution Against Falun Gong in Media Spotlight

    On 20th June, a press conference was held with Ms. Xiong Wei to inform the public about her two years of suffering in a Chinese forced labour camp. Xiong Wei was imprisoned for handing out leaflets in Beijing exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. The Slovakia press conference was featured on two TV stations and in other media.

    "Over the last year the Chinese authorities, with their total control of virtually all media outlets, have instructed that no reference should be made to Falun Gong persecution, in order to give the impression that the practice is no longer seen as a problem and may be a thing of the past. Behind the scenes, however, in the last six months the persecution has intensified with a greater number of verified deaths after torture than ever before: some fifty new provincial centres have been set up for this purpose."
  • First Swedish Performance of “The European Coming For You Choir”

    On the 11th of June 2005, the “European Coming For You” Choir made its first-ever performance in Sweden, performing at the concert “Coming for You ­ Where East Meets West” at Berwaldshallen in Stockholm. The concert was sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV and Kulturföreningen Främja Traditionell Kultur & Konst (The Culture Association to Promote Traditional Culture & Art).
  • Radio Free Asia: Zhang Cuiying Invited to Participate in the Renowned German Hessen State Festival

    The German Hessen State Cultural Festival invited well-known Austrian artist Weber and the renowned Chinese artist Ms Zhang Cuiying, who lives in Australia, to hold a large-scale painting exhibition entitled “The European classical landscape painting vs. the Chinese traditional painting”. Zhang Cuiying is well known as a Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned for her beliefs whilst in China. She faced abuse and maltreatment in prison before being able to escape to Australia. Since then she has travelled the world with her painings, letting people know about the persecution she suffered and also letting them enjoy her traditional Chinese paintings.
  • Germany: Promoting Falun Gong in Frankfurt

    On the 4th of June 2005, in the busiest street in Frankfurt town centre, Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong and an activity with the theme of promoting the beauty of Falun Gong and “Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance”.
  • Switzerland: Anti-Torture Exhibition during a Parliament Meeting

    On 8th June, a Swiss Parliament meeting was held and Falun Gong practitioners held another anti-torture exhibition and collected signatures in the busy streets. The persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China got a lot worse recently, so Falun Gong practitioners urged the parliament members gathered in Bern to do all they can to help stop the persecution.
  • Letter from German Falun Gong practitioners to Citizens in Shenyang and Benxi

    The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is so terrible that it has shocked people all over the world. The German Government had never expected that Jiang Renzhang would be locked up in a labour camp as soon as he went back to China. At present, human rights organisations in Germany, the United Nations, the media and the German people are calling on the German Government to rescue Jiang Renzheng back to Germany.
  • Romania: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Brasov City

    Practitioners distributed Falun Gong leaflets to tourists and revealed the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution against those who practise Falun Gong. Passers-by stopped to view a picture exhibition exposing the CCP’s crimes in their 6-year suppression of Falun Gong before signing a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • French Falun Gong Information Centre: Chinese Communist Party Official Charged with Crimes of Cruelty and Torture during Paris Visit

    During his visit on the 8th and 9th of June to the International Auto Convention in Paris, Wang Chun-Kwen was charged with crimes of cruelty and torture. The plaintiff in this case is a Chinese student residing in Ireland. He authorised the French Falun Gong Association to file his complaint. This student was jailed and tortured in China for twenty-two months. Wang Chun-Kwen, the Secretary General of the Communist Party in China’s Jilin Province, is directly responsible for organising the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in this province. Jilin is one of the provinces in China that has the highest number of Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted to death.
  • Switzerland: International Art Exhibition held in Basel

    The Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition was held from May 2nd to May 5th 2005 in a Basel library that is situated in a park. There were large glass windows on both sides of the room, which allowed passersby to see the pictures from outside. It was the perfect place for the exhibition.
  • Ukrainian Newspaper "Texnopolis" Reported on Activities during the Kiev Falun Gong Conference

    A local newspaper called Texnopolis published a feature article related to the events taking place during the conference, including a parade, Falun Gong exercise demonstrations, a concert and a candlelight vigil outside the Chinese Embassy. The report mentioned that the persecution of Falun Gong in China has already led to more than 2000 deaths.

    In the face of the various kinds of brutal suppression that the CCP has been executing in the past forty years, there are so many Falun Gong practitioners who are willing to disregard their own lives to struggle and safeguard their beliefs.
