Since January, when some Falun Gong practitioners were detained arbitrarily in Paris due to pressure from the Jiang regime’s lies, Falun Gong practitioners decided to contact all MPs in France to tell them about this incident that violated human rights in France.

A lot of members of Parliament were moved when they heard about this and positively expressed their support for us. A member of the Parliament in the 11th section, Mr. Patrick Bloche, is one of them. He once expressed his support for Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful appeal in Beijing on November the 20th 2001.

When practitioners went to meet him and told him the truth about the unlawful arrrest of Falun Gong practitioners in Paris during the Chinese New Year, he said, “A lot of dictatorships exist in the world; the one in China, however, is the most brutal of all.” Such incidents, which blatantly violate human rights in France, astonished him. He said that he would apply to the Ministry of Domestic Affairs for an investigation into it and would ask the government to apologise to the arrested Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners gave Mr. Bloche a yellow scarf to express support for those practitioners in China. He was glad to accept it and agreed to have a group photo taken with Falun Gong practitioners. In the photo, he held the yellow scarf in his hands.

In the conversation, we again saw that Jiang Zemin failed to acheive his goal of gaining a democratic country's support for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. On the contrary, what he did caused dissatisfaction among French citizens and leaders because people saw in the persecution a violation of the principles of Freedom, Equality, and Fraternity, which France has fought for.
