  • Spain: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in "European Cultural Exchange"

    "European Cultural Exchange" activities held by the European Cultural Centre kicked off on July 5th on Canary Island, a famous coastal tourist attraction in Spain. Spanish Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the activities. Festivalgoers were extremely interested in the Fakun Gong exercises and condemned the bruta persecution in China.
  • Poland: Many Organisations Attend a News Conference to Condemn the Persecution in China

    At 15:00 on August 6th, the Polish Falun Gong Association, The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG), and other NGOs co-sponsored a news conference in Warsaw, appealing to all parties to be concerned about China's human rights situatio. In particular, they raised awareness regarding the increased persecution of Falun Gong before the Beijing Olympics, and issued a public appeal to Polish people to make their voices heard to end the CCP’s comprehensive human rights persecution.
  • Sweden: Swedish Human Rights Organisations Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy

    On August 8th, 2008, 1 pm, a rally was held by Reporters without Borders, several Swedish NGOs, as well as MPs. They were there to protest against the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses in the lead-up to the Olympics, including violating the promise about freedom of speech it made to the International Olympics Committee.
  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Commemorate Persecuted Practitioners

    On the evening of August 8th, 2008, Helsinki Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil on the roadside along the Boulevard la Croisette in the city centre to commemorate the Chinese practitioners who have been persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist regime in mainland China.
  • Belgium: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong at an International Folklore Festival

    On August 9th and 10th, Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium held an activity at the International Folklore Festival in Edegem. The aim of this festival was to bring people from all over the world together for expressing their culture through music and dance. At the Falun Gong booth practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.
  • Belgium: Press Conference Condemns CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong

    On August 6th, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun (CIPFG) Belgium Chapter held a press conference in Brussels to call for action to end the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Renowned human rights lawyer George-Henri Beauthier and a victim of direct persecution attended the press conference.
  • Eastern Part Republican People (French Newspaper): Interview with Chairman of the Falun Gong Association

    On July 9th, 2008, French newspaper "Eastern Republican People" published a series of articles related to Falun Gong being persecuted and tortured in China. It also published a report about the Chairman of the French Falun Gong Association. The full article is reproduced here.
  • Stuttgart Zeitung Newspaper (Germany): For the Freedom of Belief

    On August 2nd, some two hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and other European countries, along with The German International Human Rights Association held an open-air information day in Stuttgart to protest against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Croatia: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong to the Croatian Media

    In the days leading up to the Olympics, Croatian practitioners contacted local media in order to let them know the the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution. Prompted by a documentary shown on Croatian National Television ( HRT ) in which Falun Gong was referred to as a "sect", directly repeating the Chinese Communist Party's slanderous propaganda, the practitioners immediately focused on intensively contacting the Croatian media in order to expose the CCP's lies and allow the Croation people to hear the truth.
  • Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

    On August 9th, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki held an activity to raise awareness about Falun Gong and expose the CCP's nine-year inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. In particular, the practitioners condemned the increased arrests of practitioners in the lead-up to the Olympic Games.
  • CIPFG Submits Over One Million Signatures Condemning the Persecution of Falun Gong to the European Union

    On August 6th 2008, at the European Union Commission headquarters in Brussels, a representative of CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China) formally submitted over one million signatures collected globally to the European Union Commission, requesting its help to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

  • Norway: Peaceful Protest against the CCP at the Chinese Embassy in Oslo

    On August 8th, Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Embassy in Oslo to protest against the CCP using the name of the Olympic Games to kidnap large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners. They also called for an immediate end to the CCP’s ongoing crime of removing live Falun Gong practitioner’s organs and selling them. From June 7th to June 30th, illegal cases of arresting Falun Gong practitioners have numbered over 8037.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong and the Dissolution of the Chinese Communist Party

    Falun Gong practitioners gathered across the road from the Chinese Embassy in London at 6pm on August 11th, 2008. They called for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the dissolution of the Chinese Communist Party. While some practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, other distributed information to passersby.
  • Scotland: "A beautiful and peaceful charm"

    The annual Edinburgh International Arts Festival is an important annual event in Scotland, attracting British people and many other tourists from around the world. The 2008 Annual Festival parade began on August 3rd. Falun Gong have been participating in this event for seven years.
