While we were a little worried about finding a place, our most respected Teacher selected a different practice site for us. The practice site was smooth and flat, the environment was nice, and it could hold more people. After it was set up, the number of people coming to our practice site increased day by day. Within one year, the number of people practicing there increased from a few dozen to a few hundred. -

Suddenly a righteous thought came to her mind, "The evil is not allowed to persecute Dafa." In a split second they had gone. -

2004-05-26Teacher's meals were very simple and he was never into big meals. Sometimes he had a small bowl of noodles. Chongqing people like to eat hot peppers. Whether it is noodles or soup, they put hot peppers in it. Once Teacher had noodles for lunch and the restaurant owner did not know that Teacher was a Northerner and therefore did not eat hot peppers. He put a lot of hot peppers in the noodles. Teacher's face was sweating all over from the spicy food. Nevertheless, Teacher didn't say anything. He just quietly finished eating the small bowl of noodles. -

As we practiced the newly learned exercises, Teacher would slowly walk around the entire stadium, checking on us at the same time. That stadium must have accommodated up to a thousand people, but everyone was so quiet, and I could sense Teacher's soft gaze falling on each of us. If it doesn’t cost me much to help others, I will agree to help. If I need to go out of my way to help someone, I will try to come up with a solution that is easy for me while only solving the person’s problem partially. In my mind I call it a win-win situation because I’ve helped others and saved myself a lot of trouble. Now that I think of it, I have never put myself in others’ shoes. -

Cultivate from the Fa and Oppose the Persecution More Clearheadedly
2004-05-13Thus they take for granted the police's torture as karmic retribution. I think this understanding is not correct. First, we should clearly realize that the day we stepped into Dafa cultivation, Master rearranged the path of our lives. Although we don't know how Master arranged it for us, one point is clear: Master would not have arranged for us to be imprisoned and tortured by the police. Does having a lot of karma mean that we have to be tortured? The purpose of cultivation is not bearing hardships; the upgrading of character is the most crucial. -
Do Not Use a Critical Eye When Studying or Memorizing the Fa
2004-05-13When it comes to memorizing the Fa, those practitioners prefer memorizing some lectures to others. They spend a lot of time and are very fluent with some chapters but not all chapters. They even pick a few paragraphs within one article and only memorize those few paragraphs while ignoring the rest since they think those paragraphs are "well said," "very important," or "directly related to themselves." Personally, I don't think this is the correct way to study the Fa. I believe it diminishes the quality and effectiveness of the Fa-study. -

But it had never once crossed my mind that she was evaluating my speech and manners the whole time.
