Sixty-Year-Old Lady from Inner Mongolia Dies After Being Released from Labour Camp

While in detention the police tortured her relentlessly. A once healthy elderly lady was turned into a person plagued with illnesses. The labour camp hospital diagnosed her illness as breast cancer. Not wanting to take any responsibility, the camp released her on medical parole. After Ms. Wang returned home, she went to her work unit to ask for her pensions. However, her work unit colluded with the "610 Office" and heartlessly again sent her to labour education. -
Brutal Beating, Force-Feeding and Poisonous Injections -- Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms Meng Xiao in Chengdu City
2004-01-28The authorities for Jintang County Detention Centre asked the Chengdu City "610 Office" if Meng Xiao was to be released. The response was, "Just let her die at the hospital or detention centre. Don't release her!" As a result, the abuse against her escalated. Jiang Zengyao, head of the detention centre, said, "It's impossible for Meng Xiao to get out on hunger strike; if she is going to die, she'll have to die at the detention centre or the hospital." At the hospital, numerous police officers tied up Meng Xiao and gave her injections. -
The Dalian Labour Camp Exploits Dafa Practitioners to Earn More than 1,500,000 Yuan a Year
2004-01-28For example, practitioners could not talk, nor could they move their lips, close their eyes, cross their legs, or even have their legs touching each other when sitting. They were rarely allowed to use the toilet during the work time and they had no more than 10 minutes to use the facilities, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If they had an urgent need to use the toilet, it had to be authorised by the room leader, the team leader, and the Captain. There was no time allowed for bowel movements, which was said to be "too time consuming." Practitioners had to wait until bedtime. As a result, many people developed constipation, haemorrhoids and were in great pain. -

After hearing this news my father and I became disheartened. Because of Ms. Han's death, we can see how wicked the Women's Forced Labour Camp is. In fact, all the Dafa practitioners I've ever met are good people. Why does Jiang persecute them? How can being a good person be a crime? -
Dr. Li Zhigang is Illegally Sentenced for Five Years and Tortured in the Military Prison in Chenzhou City
2004-01-27The prison refused to allow his family to visit him, because he refused to give up his belief. Recently someone informed his family that Dr. Li could be dead if his family couldn't find a way to save him. Dr. Li's mother and two sisters live in Changsha city, which is 300 kilometers (186 miles) away from where he was captured. It is very difficult for his elderly mother to go back and forth, and his family has already spent all its saving. With grief Dr. Li's mother said, "My son was practising Falun Gong to be a good person. How could this become a crime?" -
Liaoning Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Manli Sentenced to Eight Years Imprisonment
2004-01-27In July 2000 she was sent to Liaoyang City Forced Labour Camp (namely, Shizuizi), where she was forced to do hard labour for 18 to 20 hours every day. In order to visit her, her husband often rode a bicycle to the Camp and waited by its entrance, with the hope that he could see her, however, no matter how hard Zhou begged, jail guards including Sun Aiqin did not allow them to see each other, the reason is because Gao is steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong. -
Imprisoned Twice in Four Years for Her Beliefs
2004-01-27Around February 2000, during a public criminal trial at the Zhongfang County Police Department, Ms. Xiao was put on display with a large cardboard sign hung from her neck. The local television station broadcast the trial, in which Ms. Xiao was subjected to humiliation and personal insults. On May 18, 2003 the People's Court of Zhongfang County sentenced Ms. Xiao to three years of imprisonment. -
Mr. Wang Defeng from Heilongjiang Province Dies of Police Abuse
2004-01-26Mr. Wang Defeng, 37 years old, was a resident of Handian Town, Heilongjiang Province. In 1996, he started to practice Falun Gong. On a summer night in 2001, police from Handian Police Station and the "610 Office"* broke into Wang's home and took him away while he was sleeping, not even allowing him to put on his coat. Wang was jailed and tortured in the Shuangcheng City Detention Center. He was not released until he was near death. Mr. Wang passed away on June 30, 2002. -
Mr. Yan Hai from Zhangjiajou City Dies From Blood Loss Following Prolonged Torture
2004-01-25On November 24, 2003, Dafa practitioner Yan Hai from Zhangjiajou City, Hebei Province died as a result of torture he had endured. At the time of his death, his whole body was swollen, and his mouth and nose were stuffed with cotton. His body was very pale, including his mouth and tongue. The 251 Hospital doctors diagnosed him as "dying of dysfunction of blood circulation." But the doctors could not explain why his body was so pale. The reason was that he was losing large amounts of blood from the torture. He had became weaker and weaker everyday. -
Head of Health Clinic at Heizuizi Labour Camp Stabs Long Needles Under Practitioners' Fingernails
2004-01-25Guo Xu, head of the health clinic at Heizuizi Labour Camp in Changchun City, took advantage of her position to torture practitioners. Using the excuse of "giving a physical examination" or" performing medical treatment," she first asks prisoners whether they are Falun Gong practitioners, and if the answer is yes, she takes out a 10 cm-long needle and inserts it under practitioners' fingernails. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongtian Dies from Three Years of Relentless Persecution
2004-01-24Since July 20, 1999, Wang Hongtian suffered inhumane persecution because he persisted in his belief of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" and he was detained and sent to a labour camp. On the 14th of August 2001, two days after Wang Hongtian was sent back home from the labour camp, he passed away. He was only 41 years old. His parents, over 70 years old, were devastated when they got the news of their lost son. -
Ms. Tang Meijun, an Employee of the Chongqing Railway Branch Bureau, Is Tortured to Death
2004-01-23Ms. Tang Meijun, age 49, was an operator from the Railway Communications Company under the Chongqing Railway Branch Bureau. During a two-year term of forced labour, she was subjected to both physical and mental torture. In 2003, she was released on bail for medical treatment. On December 10, 2003, she was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. At 4:30 (could be a.m. or p.m.) on December 30, she died in the Maojia Forced Labour Camp. The details are still being investigated. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Jiang Shulan Dies As a Result of Brutal Force Feeding
2004-01-23Ms. Jiang Shulan, a practitioner from Da'an City, was around sixty years old. On June 9, 2003, she died as a result of force-feeding for four days with high-density salt water in Da'an Detention Centre. Protesting against her illegal detention with a hunger strike, she had been subjected to brutal force feeding of high-density salt solution, which had knocked out four of her front teeth, and injured her upper jaw so seriuosly that the bone was exposed. -
Additional Information About the Torture Death of Dafa Practitioner Lai Zhijun
2004-01-23Dafa practitioner Lai Zhijun was tortured to death in March or April of 2000 at Sanshui Labour Camp. Township Vice Mayor and Vice Director of the People's Congress at Fenggang Town, he was honoured as an excellent state official. In his 30's, he had been practicing Falun Dafa since Chinese New Year of 1999, and actively promoted the Fa locally. After Jiang's group started persecuting Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal in December 1999. -
Inner-Mongolian Autonomous Region: Two More Practitioners Die as a Result of Abuse and Torture
2004-01-22Ms. Geng Xiulan was arrested while she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying flyers a few days before the 2001 Chinese New Year. Chief Li Cai and his teammates forced Ms. Geng to provide a list of practitioners who participated in this event by beating her, using an electric baton and wrapping wire around her two fingers to electrically shock her. As a result of being tortured with electric shock, her cardiovascular system was damaged, she now has constant seizures. Later, police handcuffed her onto heating pipes. She had to keep a position of half-way squatting on her heels and half-way standing.
