  • EFGIC: Four-year-old Girl Travels to 37 Countries Speaking for Human Rights after Father Killed in China

    LONDON (EFGIC) – 'Little Fadu is only 4 years old, but already she understands that her father, Chengyong Chen, was a very brave man. Chengyong was routinely harassed, arrested several times, and tortured by Chinese police for adhering to his practice of Falun Gong...For the past three years, Fadu – who was an infant when her father died – has travelled the world with her mother, calling for an end to the five-year campaign of systematic violence and brainwashing against Falun Gong in China.'
  • Hungary: Letting People Know More about Dafa during Hu Jintao's Visit to Budapest

    During Hu Jintao's visit to Hungary, Dafa practitioners visited local newspapers and a radio station to talk about the abuse that practitioners of Falun Gong suffer in China. They also stressed that the Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, who is also on official visit in Budapest, has been the subject of lawsuits in countries around the world for his crimes against humanity. They also gave a gift of beautiful lotus flowers made from coloured paper to media personnel they talked to.
  • United Kingdom: Introducing Falun Dafa and Revealing the Facts of the Persecution During the Glasgow Festival

    On Saturday June 12th and Sunday June 13th, Falun Dafa practitioners from all over the UK took part in the Glasgow Festival. On Saturday, practitioners displayed the tranquil Falun Gong exercises, explained the benefits of the practice to an audience in a local Library. On Sunday the practitioners performed traditional Chinese dancing and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.
  • China’s Ambassador to Ireland declares that Liu Feng can return to Ireland to resume his studies

    On May the 11th 2004, the Chinese Ambassador to Ireland Sha Hailin held a meeting with the Irish Students Union and declared that Liu Feng, a Falun Gong practitioner, can return to Ireland to resume his studies. Liu Feng was arrested after he wrote a letter to the Chinese Premier when he returned to China for Christmas break in 1999; he was rearrested in June 2002 just before returning to Ireland whilst shopping and was subsequently sent to a forced labour camp.
  • Germany: Practitioners Appeal at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to Rescue Beijing Dafa Practitioner Ms Chen Jie

    On June the 11th, German practitioners appealed at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to urge the unconditional release of Beijing Dafa practitioner Chen Jie, who was a staff member of Beijing Youan Hospital’s Laboratory Centre. On June the 2nd 2004, she was illegally arrested at home again by Shijingshan District’s police, and sent to a brainwashing centre.
  • France: Explaining the Facts about Falun Gong in Marseilles and Commemorating Fellow Practitioners who have been Persecuted to Death

    On June 5th, 2004, at the invitation of the French Marseilles International Amnesty Organisation, French practitioners joined a signature collection and other activities. After viewing the display boards and the photos of those who have been killed during the persecution, a lot of passersby came to ask us about the truth, sent their sympathy and support, and said they would like to pass on the truth to more people.
  • Radio France International: The Taiwan Legislature Passes a Resolution Appealing to Mainland China to Stop Persecuting Falun Gong

    On June the 8th, 126 bipartisan Taiwan legislators signed their names to introduce a resolution calling on the Chinese authorities to immediately release the arrested and imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners and to stop persecuting Falun Gong. On the same day Taiwan legislature passed the resolution and submitted it to the Executive for further research.
  • VOA: Hu Jintao Visits Warsaw, Bo Xilai Charged with Crimes

    'The lawsuit alleges that Bo spent huge amount of taxpayers' money to build new prisons in which to detain and persecute Falun Gong practitioners when Bo was Mayor of Dalian City and Governor of Liaoning Province. Citing Chinese official media reports, the lawsuit said that Bo Xilai invested 1 billion yuan (~120 million US dollars) to upgrade provincial prisons.'
  • Poland: Freedom of Expression in Poland Challenged by Chinese Embassy Officials (Photos)

    As Chinese and Polish leaders were having a summit inside the Polish Presidential palace, some Chinese who were welcoming the Chinese delegation harassed people conducting a peaceful appeal. The Polish newspaper Gazeta Wybocza published an article about this incident in its June 9th edition. The Polish Metropolitan reported that "A supporter of the Chinese government robbed human rights organisations and Falun Gong practitioners of their banners."
  • London MEP Signs a Petition Calling on France Not to Bow to Chinese Pressure by Abusing the Human Rights of Falun Gong Practitioners

    UK MEP John Bowis on the 30th May 2004 signed a petition calling on the French authorities to retain liberty in France after he heard from a Falun Gong practitioner in his London constituency about how she was arrested at a Chinese/French jointly sponsored event after the Chinese authority applied pressure on France.
  • Poland: Chinese Diplomats Use Illegal Actions in Attempts to Stop Falun Gong Appeal

    The beginning of June 2004 saw a visit from the Chinese President Hu Jintao to Poland, accompanied by Minister of Trade Bo Xilai, who has played a significant and extremely evil role in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Because of this, Bo Xilai has already been the subject of legal action in other countries that he has visited, including the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Polish practitioners also employed legal action to file a lawsuit against this human rights criminal.

    'LONDON (EFGIC) – The policy of China’s former leader to “eradicate Falun Gong” continues to increase the number of deaths by torture in China, as 62 more cases were reported in April and May, 2004. The 41 cases reported in April mark one of the highest tolls reported during the five-year campaign of violence and brainwashing against Falun Gong.'
