Practitioners That Benefit from Falun Gong Are Persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party

During the past 12 years, Mr. Zhou Jingcheng, 51, has been firm in his belief in Falun Gong and tells people about his cultivation experiences as well as how he has benefited from Falun Gong. As a result, he has been detained eight times, sentenced to forced labour twice, and sent to prison once. He suffered violent beatings and cruel torture in the detention centre, labour camp, and prison. -
Wang Xinchun from Heilongjiang Province, Who Lost Both Legs from Persecution, Is Arrested Again
2011-11-25Practitioner Wang Xinchun, 35, had previously been tortured by the police and as a result lost both of his legs. On October 26th, Mr. Wang was arrested again by police. His father was harassed and left feeling terribly frightened. Mr. Wang was taken to the vice squad interrogation room at the Yichun District Police Department. They confiscated his mobile phone and physically abused him. Police also ransacked Mr. Wang’s home. -
Four Practitioners Secretly Sentenced by Yushu City Court in Jilin Province
2011-11-25Four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to a pre-trial by Yushu City Court on August 23rd after being detained in the Yushu Detention Centre for more than 100 days. The whole trial was conducted under the control of the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). Afterwards, the practitioners were detained for another two months. Their families were forbidden to visit them and knew nothing about their cases until late October, at which time the practitioners were secretly sentenced. Ms. Yang, Ms. Xu and Ms. Sun were each sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Guo was given a term of three and a half years. -
Engineer and His Daughter Arrested Again After His Wife Was Brutally Tortured to Death
2011-11-25Mr. Zhang Qingshen, 56, is a Falun Gong practitioner. His family, including his wife Sun Yuhua and daughter Zhang Hui have been subjected to the persecution because they remain steadfast in their spiritual belief, Falun Gong. His wife was brutally beaten, tortured and subjected to forced feedings for 55 days; the severe abuse caused her death at the young age of 48. Recently he and his daughter were arrested again. Police took away 50,000 yuan in cash, two laptops and other personal property. -
Exposing the Crimes of the Mishan City Brainwashing Centre in Heilongjiang Province
2011-11-25At the Mishan City Brainwashing Centre a carrot and stick approach is used to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] detained practitioners. They are first pressured with verbal persuasion to give up the practice of Falun Gong. If this fails, then they are verbally abused and intimidated. Subsequently, they are beaten up and finally tortured in order to force them to give up their belief. An officer from the Political and Legal Committee is rewarded with 20,000 yuan for successfully “transforming” a practitioner. -
Police Officers Harass Two Thousand Villagers for Signing Petition Letter to Rescue Engineer Zhou Xiangyang
2011-11-24On March 5th, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiangyang was arrested and taken to Tianjin City Guangbei Prison for a second time. Police officers in the prison tortured him brutally, including attaching him to an iron ring and shocking him with electric batons. In Mr. Zhou's hometown, Changli County in Qingdao City, 2,300 villagers signed petition letters to help him. This was reported overseas and generated a lot of attention. The Chinese authorities, afraid that the public would learn the truth about the persecution, instigated police officers to harass those who signed the petitions. -
Ms. Zhang Shuying's Eyewitness Account of the Severe Persecution She Was Subjected to at the Harbin Women's Drug Rehabilitation and Forced Labour Camp
2011-11-24As a result of the persecution of Falun Gong I was arrested eight times and put into a forced labor camp four times. I was shocked so severely with electric needles at the Dongcheng Detention Centre in Beijing that I became dysfunctional, lost my memory, and could not speak or take care of myself. At the Heitong Detention Centre I went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the third day of my hunger strike I was force-fed. Several people held me down and inserted a thick rubber tube into my nose, leading to my stomach, and affixed it with adhesive tape that was never removed. I felt as if I was going to suffocate. I was force-fed four times per day with cornmeal gruel. -
Female Teacher from Guangdong Taken from Class to Brainwashing Centre
2011-11-24Ms. He Yanhua is a teacher at Shanhe High School. While she was teaching on the afternoon of October 21st, Lu Fengliang from the Yangjiao Party Committee led personnel from the Yangjiao Town government, Yangjiao Police Station, and the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) to forcibly carry her out of the school to a vehicle, which took her to the Maoming Brainwashing Centre. In the past years, Ms. He has been well-liked by her students and praised by her colleagues. Ms. He was tortured and sent to a forced labour camp because she practises Falun Gong. -
The 610 Office in Fuzhou City Orders the Justice Bureau to Pressure Attorney
2011-11-24On January 19th, 2011, Mr. Zuo Fusheng was arrested on his way to work by police. The officers later ransacked Mr. Zuo's home and approved his arrest. The 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Fuzhou City directed the Cangshan District Procuratorate and Court to escalate the persecution of Mr. Zuo. The Cangshan District Court created many obstacles to interfere with the attorney in reading the case files and meeting with his client. In the meantime, the 610 Office ordered the Justice Bureau in the attorney's city to pressure the attorney to not attend the trial. -
68 Year Old Mr. Ding Yuezhao from Anqiu City, Shandong Province Passed Away after Being Tortured
2011-11-23Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ding Yuezhao was arrested in December 2009 and tortured at the Anqiu Detention Centre. At the Anqiu Detention Centre, he was bound to an iron chair and tortured. Officers slapped him in the face and kicked him fiercely. They pierced Mr. Ding's fingertips with needles, then they slammed his hands to the ground with the needles still in them. They also shocked him with electric batons while he was bound to the iron chair. He was on the verge of death as a result of the torture. He was still harassed even after returning home. He passed away on October 2nd. -
Many Practitioners Arrested and Harassed by Police from Gaobeidian City
2011-11-23Officers from the Gaobeidian City Police Department, Domestic Security Division and 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) arrested and harassed many practitioners on October 24th. Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Hu Zhenchun was arrested. Not long ago, he returned home after finishing a one-year term at Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp. -
Mr. Guo Xiaojun, Former Lecturer at Shanghai Transportation University, in Life-threatening Situation
2011-11-23Mr. Guo Xiaojun, a Falun Gong practitioner and former lecturer at Shanghai Transportation University, sustained a retinal artery injury due to the torture to which he was subjected. His condition has recently deteriorated. He loses his vision quite often due to the effects of the injury. Despite concerns expressed by his family, prison officials refuse to release him. During one of the recent visits by his family, Mr. Guo told them that he discovered that someone made several attempts to poison him. His family was extremely concerned after hearing this news, especially hearing reports that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and without anesthesia. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Xu Lu,18, Arrested in Hubei Province
2011-11-23Ms. Xu Lu, 18, is from Gong'an County in Hubei Province. She is studying nursing at the Gong'an County Vocational Middle School. At around 3:00 p.m. on October 25th, her teacher Ma Yan called her mother, saying that he needed to talk with Ms. Xu about the exams. Once Ms. Xu arrived at school, she was arrested by the head of Gong'an County 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) Xie Feng and the deputy chief of the Domestic Security Division Liao Xuesheng. Ms. Xu was taken to an unknown location and was held overnight. She was then taken to Wuhan City Brainwashing Centre the next day. Two teachers from Ms. Xu's school were also sent there to monitor her. On November 1st, it was alleged that Ms. Xu had been on a hunger strike for five days to protest her persecution. -
Persecution of Mr. Xue Yujun and His Wife in Mengyin County, Shandong Province
2011-11-22Mr. Xue Yujun and his wife are from Zhao Yu Village in Mengyin County, Linfen City, Shandong Province. The couple were arrested, tortured and extorted, and put into a labour camp. His wife recounts "I spent more than two months in the brainwashing centre. During that period, domestic security agents interrogated and tortured me over and over again. They made me sit on the floor, scolded and beat me." -
Physically Disabled Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Yongsheng Tortured at Mudanjiang
2011-11-22It was recently learned that prison officials in the No. 14 ward of Mudanjiang Prison are using electric batons, the “big hang up,” and solitary confinement to torture Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yongsheng in attempts to force him to give up his belief. On February 18th 2009, the court wrongfully sentenced practitioners Mr. Zhao Buoliang, Mr. Li Haifeng, Mr. Li Yongsheng, etc. to Mudanjiang Prison. They were assigned to different wards and forced to perform hard labour. Mr. Li Yongsheng, who is crippled, is also forced to work gluing eyebrows on dolls.
