Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Lu, 18, is studying nursing at the Gong'an County Vocational Middle School. On October 25th, her teacher called her mother, saying that he needed to talk with Ms. Xu about the exams. Once Ms. Xu arrived at school, she was arrested by the head of Gong'an County 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) Xie Feng and the deputy chief of the Domestic Security Division Liao Xuesheng.

Xie and Liao forced the Education Department to put pressure on Ms. Xu's school administration, so that they could set a trap to arrest Ms. Xu at school. However, officials at the school administration didn't want to help them. The Education Department pressured the school administration for two days before they finally gave in.

Ms. Xu was taken to an unknown location and was held overnight. She was then taken to Wuhan City Brainwashing Centre the next day. Two teachers from Ms. Xu's school were also sent there to monitor her.
On November 1st, it was alleged that Ms. Xu had been on a hunger strike for five days to protest her persecution. The two teachers from her school returned to school, and two others were sent to replace them. Officials at the brainwashing centre did not allow Ms. Xu's parents to visit her, and they are very worried about her situation.

Ms. Xu practised Falun Gong with her father when she was seven years old. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to suppress the practice in 1999, she stopped practising. At the beginning of 2010, she began to lose a lot of hair. She tried all kinds of treatments, but she was still losing her hair. She thought of Falun Gong and started to practise again. Not long after that, her hair stopped falling out and new hair began to grow back. She said happily to her classmates, “I now practise Falun Gong and my hair has grown back.” She also shared her experience with her friends through the Internet. However, she didn't know that her Internet was being monitored by the Jingzhou City Intelligence Agency. Investigations were conducted in her local community about her and her neighbours unwittingly told them that Ms. Xu's family were very pleased to practise Falun Gong.

It has been told to us that the order to arrest Ms. Xu was given by the Jingzhou Intelligence Agency.
