Ten Practitioners Sentenced to Prison in Xinye County

In October 2003, the Xinye County Court in Henan Province sentenced 10 Dafa practitioners to between one and nine years in prison. The court did not even notify their families of the date and time of their loved ones' illegal trials. The ten practitioners protested to the court for putting them on trial for exercising their constitutional freedom of personal belief by exclaiming, "Falun Dafa is good!" Their righteous spirits caused the judge to close the trial in a panic. The ten practitioners are still detained in Xinye County Detention Centre. -
The Brutal Tortures Suffered by Dr. Wang Xiaodong
2004-01-26Dr. Wang Xiaodong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Daqing City and a surgeon at the County Chinese Medical Hospital. Before he practiced Falun Gong, Dr. Wang suffered from chronic tuberculosis and hepatitis B. Dr. Wang's health quickly returned to normal after he started to practice Falun Gong in October 1998. Since then, he has conducted himself strictly according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." Always thinking of others before himself, he was admired by his colleagues. -
Botou City Detention Centre: Force-feeding with Large Buckets of Water, Excrement and Urine
2004-01-25The detention centre director’s special skill is his use of electric shock batons. He once even ordered others to get three full lunch boxes of excrement and urine from the sewer. Then he pinched Fu Qimou's nose and ordered a male prisoner to force-feed him the excrement and urine. In the process of being force-fed, Mr. Fu Qimou's whole body was covered with excrement and urine. Swarms of flies were attracted to the filth and flew all around him. The scene of this torture was awful to witness. -

I had used to mail some daily expense money to her, because her salary had been suspended. Later I came to know that she used the money I gave her to buy a printer to produce truth clarification materials. As a result, the authorities accused her of conspiring with international sources. When I heard this, I went to the police and tried to clarify the facts to them, but they detained me and then searched my parents' home. -

2004-01-22On January 6, 2004, the Shulan City Court brought to trial four Dafa practitioners without due process. Two policemen dragged practitioner Fu Hongwei into the court, whose legs were seriously injured due to torture. 2004-01-22In the Shizishan Labour Camp for Drug Addicts in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the authorities have resorted to the basest methods to torture Dafa practitioners into giving up their belief. Police even instigated drug addicts to put heroin paste and other poisonous drugs into practitioners' food. A Huangshi City practitioner who exposed their crime publicly was sent to a mental hospital for further persecution, on police orders. -

2004-01-21To ease public pressure, Guizhou Police Department used propaganda to lie and spread terror. First, they spread lies in the media, saying that the Internet monitoring system was only to monitor illegal websites and would not monitor typical internet users. Second, they threatened the Internet café managers that they would be shut down if they didn't comply. They restricted access to articles on the Web that expressed any discontent about the new policy, and coerced café owners to comply with threats of fines and detention. -

2004-01-20Due to the brutality of their methods, the tube didn't always feed into the oesophagus but also went down the trachea. This vile method of torture damaged her lungs tremendously and caused her to cough constantly. She suffered from extreme pain in her lungs and grew thinner and thinner. To shirk their responsibility, the detention centre claimed that she had contracted tuberculosis, and asked her family to obtain a medical parole for her and take her home. From that time on her health declined to the point where she could hardly walk. -
Gaoyang Labour Camp's Atrocities: Savage Overnight Torture, Burying Practitioners Up to Their Necks
2004-01-20Labour camp police took Dafa practitioners, mostly female, to two different tents sites for torture every day. The police officers dug a hole about 2.5 feet by about 5.5 feet deep in a vegetable field. In an attempt to persuade the practitioners to give up their belief, they would throw one practitioner in the hole and threaten to bury her alive. They even buried some Dafa practitioners up to their necks, leaving only their heads above ground. -

2004-01-19Ma Xujun has been at the edge of his life many times, but the Jiamusi City Police Department refused to release him. After family members' many attempts to secure his release and under pressure from the strong protest and condemnation of many people seeking justice, on the night of December 26, 2003, the Jiamusi City Police Department sent Ma Xuejun home on a stretcher, put him down, and left, shirking the responsibility for his condition. At that time, Mr. Ma had become unable to move or speak. The long-term hunger strike made him like a skeleton.
