Ms. Li Jiaju, in her fifties, was nearly killed at the labour camp when she arrived there in January 2006. The guards force-fed her with faeces and urine. They shoved a sanitary napkin and filthy towel inside her mouth. They deprived her of sleep and use of the toilet, and made her stand up or squat for long periods. They also poured cold water on her in the winter until she lost consciousness. They beat her when she came to and taped her mouth so she could not make a sound. She is currently near death, but the labour camp refuses to release her. -
Despicable Tactics Used in Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province
2006-12-16Guards at Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp used despicable tactics to torture practitioners in attempts to brainwash them. In early July 2006, to cover up their crimes of brutally torturing practitioners, the labour camp held a so-called "assisting education" conference, which was broadcast on TV. They invited several families of the tortured practitioners, who suffered mental trauma as a result of the brainwashing. The labour camp distorted the facts to deceive people and cover up their crimes. The truth is that they tortured practitioners to the edge of death. On the surface, they used those family members to present their efforts as good work. -
Mr. Hu Yongjian and His Wife Arrested - Their Young Child and Elderly Parents Left Without Care
2006-12-16In February 2006 Ms. Tang Yunli, was arrested by the 610 Office, and in October, her husband, Hu Yongjian was arrested, leaving their 10-year-old child and parents, in their late 70s, at home without care. The officials confiscated about 3,000 yuan. Ms. Tang Yunli was taken to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. These people had been recognised in the village for their good deeds and kindness to others. -
Mr. Guo Zhenge Tortured to Mental Collapse in Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing
2006-12-16Mr. Guo Zhenge, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was sentenced to two years of forced labour by the National Security Agents with the excuse of "harbouring Falun Gong books" on January 30th, 2005. The prison guards directed prisoners to beat Guo Zhenge. They deprived him of sleep for many nights. Guo Zhenge had to sit on a stool without moving every day as the prisoners strictly monitored him. He was not allowed to go out of the room. The food given to him was less than half of the normal quantity for detainees. Guo Zhenge suffered a mental collapse as result of the long term mental and physical persecution. -
My Brother, Lin Mingli, Persecuted by Shanghai 610 Office Agents
2006-12-15My younger brother, Lin Mingli, was arrested by Shanghai police and brutally tortured at a labour camp for two years for practising Falun Gong. He was freed from the labour camp due to rescue efforts from the Canadian government and others. A short time after my brother was reunited with his wife he was suddenly arrested again by 610 Office agents. He has been detained since 2005, only because he persists in Dafa practice. The local 610 Office regard him as a major target. -
Practitioner Ms. Song Shuhua from Laishui County, Hebei Province Arrested Again
2006-12-14On November 28th, 2006, Ms. Song Shuhua was arrested a few days after returning home. She had been living on the streets to avoid persecution. Policemen from the local station broke into her house and arrested her again. Ms. Song is detained at a detention centre. When Ms. Song's children learned about her arrest the detention centre staff did not allow her children to see her unless the family paid for her living expenses. The children could not afford such a large sum of money, so they went home in tears. -
Family Members Refused Visits with Dafa Practitioner Liu Hongxia, Detained at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province, Because She Will Not Submit to Brainwashing
2006-12-14Dafa practitioner Liu Hongxia in Jilin Province has already been detained in the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp for four months. Every Tuesday is her visiting day. Her family has only been allowed to meet with her twice since she has been detained there. When her family enquired as to the reason for this, the response from the forced labour camp was that Liu Hongxia was not brainwashed and was being closely monitored, so nobody could meet with her. After one month, when her family asked to meet with her again, the forced labour camp refused their request again, stating that they were Falun Gong practitioners. -
Practitioner Ms. Cui Hongyan from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Is Arrested
2006-12-14At about 8:00 a.m. on November 1st, 2006, practitioner Ms. Cui Hongyan was arrested by police from Tieren Public Security Sub-bureau and Youyi Community Police Station in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. Recently, more than 30 of Ms. Cui's relatives filed a petition to the appropriate judicial department, challenging the legality of her arrest. They reasoned that her practice of Falun Gong was a right to personal belief guaranteed by the Constitution. They argued that sentencing her to prison was illegal. Tieren Public Safety Sub-Bureau and its officers were therefore illegally arresting good citizens, which is clearly against the law. -
Ms. Jing Honghua Is Arrested on Her Way to Her Father's Funeral
2006-12-13In November 2006, practitioner Ms. Jing Honghua, who was forced to leave home and became homeless in order to avoid arrest and persecution, went to Shandong Province to attend the funeral of her father, who had died suddenly. She was arrested by the police officers at the Harbin Airport simply because she brought with her a copy of Zhuan Falun, a Falun Dafa book. She was then detained at the Yilan No. 2 Detention Centre for more than ten days. -
Mr. Shi Fafu in Shandong Province Died after Being Forcefully Sent to Labour Camp by 610 Office
2006-12-12On July 5th, 2006, 66-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Shi Fafu was arrested by local "610 Office" agents and sent to a forced labour camp where he was was forced to do heavy labour and tortured until he was very weak. He was released home after a doctor could not treat him any more. He died on November 14th, 2006. -
The Mental Torment and Physical Persecution I Have Endured from the Age of 16
2006-12-12After police arrested me at home I was sent to Jixian Detention Centre. Guard Wang Yan beat me. My nose bled. They forced me to half-squat. They burned my face with cigarette lighters. They also put water-filled bottles and wooden sticks between my fingers. If I moved a little bit, they'd start to beat me. Later that evening they stopped and sent me to a cell. I was only 16 years old at the time. They noticed that I was young, so they tried to intimidate and scare me. They wanted me to renounce Falun Dafa but I did not. -
Practitioner Mr. Yu Ming Suffers Brutal Tortures at the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing
2006-12-12Mr. Yu Ming was arrested on March 3rd, 2006 and is detained at the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing. Several criminals were ordered to torture him every day. If they refused, they themselves would suffer brutal beatings by the guards. Yu Ming was tied to a bed 24 hours a day and suffered from brutal force-feeding. The police doctor mixed sedatives and sleeping medications with the mixture they force-fed him. Yu Ming was sedated all day long. He was tied to the bed and unable to move. His physical and mental condition has been severely damaged, and he is very weak. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Sentenced in Qiaodong Court, Zhangjiakao City, Hebei Province
2006-12-11Since Jiang Zemin's regime started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Chen Yanqing, head of the Qiaodong Court and other offices in Zhangjiakao City, Hebei Province, sentenced and detained many Falun Dafa practitioners. For the past seven years, more than 14 innocent practitioners have suffered torture in prison, had their families torn apart, and have seen their relatives and close friends suffer harassment and mental devastation. The large number of practitioners sent directly to forced labour camp without any judicial procedure is difficult to count. -
A Female Practitioner Who Escaped From China: I Was Persecuted in Shanghai Women's Prison
2006-12-10I am a Falun Gong practitioner who just escaped from the clutches of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I am one of those fortunate enough to reside overseas. The CCP sentenced me to five years in the Shanghai City Women's Prison. All the products made by the inmates at the prison were for export. Inmates made clothes, trousers, cushion seats, national flags (I made over ten thousand British flags), toys, wool sweaters, shirts with shiny beads, bedding, chopsticks, napkins, envelops, lunch boxes, plastic bags, paper bags. -
Police in Tianmen City, Hubei Province, Break into and Ransack a School Teacher's Home
2006-12-10On November 9th, 2006, Ms. He Meirong, a teacher was in her office correcting students' homework when the school principal and the director from the police station asked her to come out for a talk. She saw through their ill intention, so she refused to go with them. She tried to run away, but the two caught her and dragged her to the school entrance. With the help of some kindhearted people, she was able to escape. 610 Office officials ransacked Ms. He's home and took away her computer, Dafa books among other things. At present, she still cannot return to her teaching position.
