In June 2001, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Mao Qi, a laid-off worker from Zhoukou City's Cotton Mill, was detained after she went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. Her mother was angry about her arrest, plus she was very ill. Later her mother passed away with a feeling of injustice in her heart. The political protection department of the Public Security Bureau, her workplace, and her neighbourhood administration office didn't allow Mao Qi to see her mother for one last time before she died. -
An Excellent Teacher, Mr. Ma Lizhi from Jiaonan City Dies of Torture
2004-01-17Policeman Zhuang Huaidou was a very vicious individual. He had beaten practitioners many times. Once, he handcuffed a practitioner for a long time. Even two years later, marks were still visible on this practitioner's wrists and he still suffered from numbness in his hands. Zhuang pulled Ma Lizhi's hands all the way up behind his back and cuffed them to the back of a chair. He then forced Mr. Ma to sit on the floor and swing the chair. This torture caused excruciating pain. Zhuang claimed, "Jiang Zemin does not allow you to practise! Whoever practises will be arrested!" -

2004-01-17This was a torture beyond human language. They put some medicine on me to continue their torture under the disguise of treating me. They again forced me to write the "four letters" which I signed under pressure. I now declare that it was against my own will and I was forced to do this. Afterwards, my heart was filled with sadness and sorrow that was beyond words. After that they didn't allow me to talk to anyone until August 2003. Staff member Li called me for a talk, and I told him that I had been tortured. He yelled at me "Who tortured you? Who witnessed it? If you don't accept our management, we will force you to!" -
A Torture Chamber Is Used in Sanshui Forced Labour Camp
2004-01-17There are four sub-sections at the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp. The Fifth Brigade of the third sub-section is called the "Special Brigade," and it is mainly used for detaining Dafa practitioners. During the periods of December 3, 2000 to January 22, 2003 and March 23 to September 13, 2003, a torture chamber was set up at the second sub-section and used to torture Dafa practitioners. The torture chamber was inside a hidden, high-walled, two-story building with an independent courtyard and had a guardroom 50 metres behind it . It's hard for outsiders to comprehend the brutality of the torture that occurred there. There were scores of Dafa practitioners tortured and made to suffer greatly. -

2004-01-16The detention centre only provided one corn bun and some preserved vegetables for every meal. Sometimes the muffin was partially uncooked and had mouse droppings inside. She was often sworn at by the police in the centre, was forced to do hard labour, and not allowed to practise any Falun Dafa exercises. She was then transferred to the brainwashing centre for a 5-month term. Shang Yunhang the head of the Political Security Division of Shenzhen City along with a few other people searched and harassed her, looking for Falun Dafa books. -

You have to stay here. If you don't break with Falun Gong, you will stay here until you have served your term. If you are not obedient, you will stay here forever till you die. 2004-01-15The police sent people to take turns watching him. At night there was a police car blocking the entrance. Within one month after Sun was released, the director of the Fengrun Public Security Bureau Li Chunyuan, along with Zeng Xianghai and Qi Lianfu, as well as several dozens of people from the public security office and other government offices, broke into Sun Jianzhong's house and tried to arrest him again. After cutting through the security door with a welding torch, the police broke into his apartment. Sun threw himself against the wall. The police dragged him out by force despite Sun's mother loud weeping. The brutality of the police shocked the whole residential area and people started to think again about the entire campaign of persecution against Falun Gong. -

Jilin Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Beaten to Disability and Poisoned by Police
2004-01-14The prison doctor furthermore force-fed him poisonous drugs. When the drugs took effect the pain and itch on his chest was so unbearable that he scratched it severely until it was bleeding. Before the prison doctor did the force-feeding, detention centre Director Zhao ordered the doctor to give him an injection of poison. The doctor cautioned that such injection might be too dangerous, so they decided to force-feed Xie Guichen with poisonous drugs instead.
