  • Holland: On the 6th Anniversary of July 20th, Practitioners Appealed for an End to the Persecution at the Chinese Consulate

    On July the 20th, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners appealed for an end to the persecution against Falun Gong outside the Chinese Consulate. The banners in English read, “Oppose Violent Persecution”, "Remember the 2696 Falun Gong Practitioners persecuted to Death,” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners.”
  • Spanish News Agency: Falun Gong Appeals to the Chinese Government to Stop the Genocide of People who Ask for Freedom of Belief

    More than twenty people from the Spanish Falun Gong Association and their legal team peacefully protested at the Chinese Embassy in Madrid. They urged that the genocide, persecution and torture of hundreds of thousands of innocent people who have a right to freedom of belief in China be stopped. The organiser said that to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the persecution against Falun Gong was the purpose of the day’s gathering. The former president of the Chinese Communist Party, Jiang Zemin, initiated the comprehensive persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, the followers of an ancient Chinese spiritual practice, with the policy of defaming their reputations, bankrupting them financially, and destroying them physically.
  • Bulgaria: Practitioners Commemorate Six Years of Persecution with an Open Air Exhibition

    On 23rd and 24th July 2005, Bulgarian Falun Dafa practitioners organized an open air exhibition in Boris Garden – the central park of the capital city Sofia. The exhibition commemorated six years since the persecution against Falun Dafa was launched by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and enforced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
  • Sweden: Peacefully Appealing outside the Chinese Consulate on July 20th

    On the 20th of July, Falun Gong practitioners gathered outside the Chinese Consulate General in Gothenburg. The gathering was held because July 20th was the day that the Chinese Communist Party, under the leadership of the previous president Jiang Zemin, began a brutal persecution against Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners will continue to hold peaceful appeals outside the Chinese consulate until this brutal persecution stops.
  • France: The People of Rouen were Touched by an Anti-torture Exhibition

    On July 8th, Falun Gong practitioners visited Rouen. They set up a stall in the city centre opposite various elegantly designed buildings and held an anti-torture exhibition where they simulated a few of the many torture methods that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses in its attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.
  • The Call of People in Europe: Saluting a New China Without the Rule of the CCP

    Local people who were warm-hearted had made many colourful, big banners and slogans such as “Support the Million People who have Withdrawn from the CCP”, “Saluting a New China Without the Rule of the CCP” and “It is High Time We said Goodbye to the CCP”. The parade was about two hundred metres long and was very eye-catching.
  • Czech Republic and Slovakia: Exposing the Persecution and Promoting Falun Gong (II)

    On Saturday 18th of June, the largest TV station in the Czech Republic, Cesha Televize 1, interviewed Xiong Wei at a memorial where victims of the Communist Party used to be tortured. She spent two years in a Chinese forced labour camp, imprisoned for handing out leaflets exposing the human rights abuses against Falun Gong.
  • Belgium: Falun Gong Practitioners Filed a Lawsuit Against CCP Officials for Telephone Harassment

    On Tuesday July 19th 2005, Mr. Georges-Henri Beauthier, a prestigious human rights lawyer, filed a lawsuit on behalf of two Falun Gong practitioners in Brussels. The lawsuit was for the crime of harassment and was filed against China’s “6-10 Office” and the responsible Chinese officials. The lawsuit was filed on the eve of the 6th anniversary since Falun Gong was banned in China on July 20th 1999.
  • Germany: Appealing at the Chinese Consulate in Munich after Six Years of Persecution

    According to the statistics from ClearWisdom.Net, to date there have been 2,646 practitioners who have been killed in this persecution, but these are only the documented death cases. Nearly one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners have been deprived of the right to believe in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”, and countless families have been broken up.
  • Radio Free Asia: German Society Pays Close Attention to the Development of Jiang Renzheng's Case

    Due to the concerns of the International Organisation for Human Rights and the German Government, during the human rights forum between China and Germany the Chinese Government was obliged to admit the arrest of Mr. Jiang Renzheng, a Chinese Falun Gong practitioner who was deported back to China from Germany at the beginning of May. According to a lady from Wuerzburg who has been actively involved in the efforts to rescue Jiang Renzheng, the Chinese Government was once again obliged to admit to the German Government that Jiang Renzheng was arrested for political reasons.
  • Czech Republic and Slovakia: Exposing the Persecution and Promoting Falun Gong (I)

    Between the 16th and 22nd of June, for the first time Falun Gong practitioners in the Czech Republic and Slovakia received mainstream media attention on a large scale. While exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong, the practitioners held activities to introduce the exercises and principles of the practice.

    Falun Gong has five powerful and peaceful exercises that cultivate the body and the soul...The Chinese authorities banned Falun Gong in 1999, because the number of practitioners far outnumbered the number of members of the Communist Party. Since then, several thousand Falun Gong practitioners from China have been persecuted, illegally jailed, tortured or sent to forced labour camps. Several thousand have been killed.
  • Denmark: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Copenhagen to Commemorate Six Years of Persecution

    On July 20th six years ago, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Jiang Zemin initiated a brutal campaign of persecution against Falun Gong. On the 16th of July, Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark and Sweden went to the largest square in Copenhagen, Kongens Nytorv, to expose the on-going campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners in Manchester Commemorated Six Years of Persecution with an Appeal at the Chinese Consulate

    In remembrance of more than 2,700 fellow Falun Gong practitioners who have lost their lives in the CCP’s human rights abuses, practitioners from Manchester and surrounding cities gathered at the Chinese Consulate on this anniversary to hold a press conference, to appeal for the public’s concern and to urge the CCP to stop the persecution of Falun Gong immediately.
