On the 9th and 10th of July, The Epoch Times newspaper, together with many Chinese and Western groups and organisations, held parades expressing support for quitting the CCP in Paris. Over 3 million people have now withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and this number is continually rising.

On the 9th of July, the parade started from Canadian Square near the bank of the River Seine in Paris and marched forward along the River into the Square of Human Rights opposite the Effel Tower. Those walking in the first row of the parade were a waist-drum team made up of people who were wearing white costumes and bright red belts. While beating the drums rhythmically, they were shouting slogans and clearing the way. Such a lively beginning to the parade created a festival atmosphere. Many other people were holding up posters of “Quit the Party” both in Chinese and French.

To the sound of beating waist drums and slogans of justice, the cloudy and chilly weather was driven away by the shining sun. Local people who were warm-hearted had made many colourful, big banners and slogans such as “Support the Million People who have Withdrawn from the CCP”, “Saluting a New China Without the Rule of the CCP” and “It is High Time We said Goodbye to the CCP”. The parade was about two hundred metres long and was very eye-catching. Some passers-by clapped to encourage the parade. On seeing the parade, Chinese tourists sitting on sightseeing buses were amazed and curious, whilst others were waving their hands in support.

A young French man was actively leading everybody in shouting slogans: “The CCP will disappear forever” was heard everywhere on the streets of Paris. Many people were attracted when the parade was walking through laces of interest and the demand for French and Chinese versions of the publication “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” greatly exceeded the supply. This publication reveals the criminal nature of the CCP when it took power over fifty years ago and was the catalyst for the recent surge of people renouncing their CCP membership.

On the next day, the parade took place in the Chinese quarter of Paris. Wherever the parade was, many Chinese stopped to watch. Perhaps these Chinese people, who have been bullied, oppressed and poisoned for a long time by the CCP, never expected so many people would be able to say good-bye to the terror and say “No” to the CCP’s tyranny bravely and publicly. People were coming out of shops and out of their homes. They opened their windows and raised their heads higher, reading the banners and listening to the slogans. The Chinese people contemplated how wonderful China could be without the tyranny and suppression of the CCP.
