  • United Kingdom: Divine Land Marching Band Parade in Edinburgh to Support Twenty Four Million People Quitting the CCP

    On August 4th 2007, the day before the Cavalcade marking the opening of the Edinburgh International Festival, the European Divine Land Marching Band, which is composed of Falun Gong practitioners from the U.K and other European countries, held a parade supporting the 24 million people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Poland: Promoting Falun Gong and Traditional Chinese Culture at the Tall Ships Races in Szczecin

    Falun Dafa practitioners from Poland and Germany were welcomed by event organizers to attend the Tall Ships Races 2007 in Szczecin, Poland. The organizers expect around 1.5 million visitors. Practitioners saw this as an excellent opportunity to let lots more people know about Falun Gong and the persecution against practitioners in China.
  • Bulgaria: Hundreds of People Signed a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution

    Many locals and tourists gathered before the posters and asked many questions about the persecution and what Falun Gong is. Hundreds of petition signatures were gathered in only a few hours from people who wanted to call for an end to the persecution. Many people were shocked by the cruelty of the persecution. The event continued until late in the evening.
  • Greece: Lighting the Human Rights Torch To End the Persecution

    On the evening of August 9th 2007, the Global Human Rights Torch Relay was launched on Syntagma Square, in front of the Hellenic Parliament buildings in Athens, Greece, one year ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The ceremony launched the year-long journey of the "Global Human Rights Torch Relay."
  • Greece: Athens Forum Asks How Crimes Against Humanity can be Allowed to Continue in a Nation about to Host the Olympics

    On August 7th 2007, experts gathered in Athens to attend an international forum entitled, "The Olympic Games vs. Crimes Against Humanity in China." The forum was held by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, the International Society for Human Rights, and the Association for Asia Research.
  • Ukraine: Exposing the CCP’s Crimes Against Humanity

    On July 28th 2007, Ukraine Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Constitution Square Harkov, to expose eight continuing years of cruel persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Two journalists from local television and radio station interviewed practitioners.
  • Greece: The Global Human Rights Torch Relay will be Launched in Athens

    It is expected that within a year’s time of the launch of the relay, the route of the human rights torch will cover more than a hundred cities in dozens of countries on five continents. The CIPFG hopes to raise the international community’s concern over the CCP’s human rights violations in China with the help of the human rights torch relay and to stop shame being brought to the Olympic Games.
  • Slovakia: Remembering Eight Years of Persecution Against Falun Gong

    On Saturday 20th July, an information day with the goal of informing people about the persecution against Falun Gong in China took place in Bratislava, Slovakia. This was the 8th anniversary of the start of the persecution in China. The practitioners set up banners and posters detailing the persecution and demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.
  • France: Introducing Falun Dafa in a Park in Lille

    To introduce Falun Dafa and let people know about the persecution being waged against practitioners in China, I decided to demonstrate the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in Parc Barbieux. As soon as I started, people came over to find out more. They wanted to learn the truth and sign their names on a petition to protest against the persecution.
  • United Kingdom: Parade and Press Conference in London Shines a Bright Light on the Persecution

    The parade included banners, music, waist-drummers dressed in gold, and many female practitioners dressed in white holding photos of those killed in the persecution. The tail of the parade included a float and banners exposing the atrocities committed by the CCP and highlighting the harvesting of organs from prisoners of conscience.
  • Germany: Eight Years of Exposing the Persecution

    On Saturday July 21st 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Stuttgart held an information day on the streets to tell people about the eight years of persecution against Falun Gong in China. They also helped people learn about the atrocities of organs being harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners in Chinese detention facilities and the fact that over 24 million people have withdrawn from the CCP.
  • Sweden: Promoting Falun Gong during the Tall Ships Race

    When the race was underway, a banner reading “Stop persecuting Falun Gong” was held up in the square in the central area of Stockholm. In addition, display boards introducing Falun Gong’s popularity around the world and exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution against Falun Gong were displayed.
  • Germany: Exposing the Truth about Falun Gong in Berlin

    On July 21st, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners organised an event at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Practitioners were kept busy chatting to people throughout the day. The persecution began on July 20th 1999 and Falun Gong was officially banned in China on July 22nd, 1999.
  • Austria: The International 'Zhen, Shan, Ren Art Exhibition' held in Graz

    On the evening of July 5th, 2007 an international art exhibition entitled “Zhen, Shan, Ren” officially opened in Graz, the capital of Steiermark province. The “Ars Cara” arts and culture club put on the exhibition - their motto is “Arts for Human Rights”. Ars Cara had great success showing the same exhibition last year throughout Austria. It was supported and recognised by many people.
  • Switzerland: 'The Persecution in China Doomed to Failure'

    Falun Gong practitioners took part in the Asian Festival held in Bern, Switzerland. They set up an information booth in Thun Square and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on the stage. They raised awareness about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners both inside and outside China.
