In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. -

Strengthening my Righteous Thoughts
2005-12-22Lately, I was given hints that I had to strengthen my righteous thoughts. Although I regularly sent righteous thoughts, over time they somehow turned, without my recognition into something of a routine and formality. My righteous thoughts were not quite as powerful as they should have been and I was at a loss how to achieve the best results or how to focus my righteous thoughts. -
Surface Fears and Fundamental Fears
2005-12-22Since I knew that it was not right to have these fears, I tried to pull myself together and get on with some things to expose the persecution despite them. However, I was doing Falun Dafa work with a human mentality, treating it as something that I had to do, and fearing that I might be left behind if I did not do it. When I first started posting flyers and distributing materials, I had a dry mouth, my heart raced, and I perspired a lot. I was scared to the core of my being. -

People kept coming and each of them resigned their party membership right on the spot in his house after watching the footage. -

I had thought about this issue before but I always thought that when I started to practise Falun Gong, I did not have any particular reasons for wanting to practise Falun Gong. Just as my mastery of the physical exercises made slow, almost imperceptible progress, so did my ability to study the Falun Gong teachings. Only little by little did it dawn on me that study of Falun Dafa's principles itself was the key to the practice.
