Police Officers Are Also Lives Waiting to Be Saved

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, I had a lot of resentment against anyone who worked in the public security, prosecution, legal, and judiciary systems. Viewing this persecution of Dafa from the mindset of an ordinary person, I took it as humans persecuting Dafa disciples. At that time, even when I tried to clarify the truth about the persecution to people, my heart was not very pure or calm. As the force of Fa-rectification moved forward and my Fa study became more solid, I gradually changed the way I treated worldly people, especially police officers. Since the release of the video lecture for Australian practitioners, I have strengthened my Fa study and worked harder in digging out my selfishness and human attachments of fear, money, and hatred. Meanwhile, I have felt the urgency of Master wanting us to save more sentient beings. I've had more compassion for police officers, and I have also felt that we should strive to save them.

I lost my business because of the persecution. The CCP spies ransacked my house and store. With the help of other practitioners, I bought two motorcycles and made a living providing pick-up and drop-off services to the public. Some practitioners said, "If you have this kind of business, you will have a lot of opportunities to meet different people and clarify the truth to them." I immediately knew that it was Master using a practitioner's words to encourage me to save more people. At first, because of fear, I was very cautious in selecting my customers. I had to see whether or not they were police officers. If I thought they were, I didn't clarify the truth to them, so that I could avoid being arrested. Indeed, this worry was caused by my attachment of fear and the acknowledgement of the old forces' persecution and their arrangements. At that time, I felt that I was in a poor state of cultivation. Nevertheless, through Fa study, my cultivation state has improved greatly. Meanwhile, I spent at least two hours each day studying the Fa and memorizing the book Zhuan Falun. Gradually, I came to know that all sentient beings, no matter what professions they are in, including police officers, are urgently waiting for Dafa disciples to save them. They all came here for the Fa. If I don't clarify the truth to police officers, isn't this my attachment of fear? I was fundamentally hindered by my own selfishness

In Essentials for Further Advancement II, Master said,

"If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist. This is not to be self-imposed, but is achieved by truly and calmly letting go of it."("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)")
As I studied the Fa, I gradually changed my notions. One day, after hearing the facts, a young man quickly decided to quit the CCP. I asked him, "Young man, where do you work?" He answered, "The Public Security Bureau." At that time, I enlightened that Master was encouraging me to save more police officers. Since then, my fear has disappeared.

I am citing a few cases to demonstrate that police officers are waiting for us to save them.
One night, a police officer hailed me for a ride. The place where he wanted to go wasn't far away, only about 500 to 600 meters. After he asked me how much the fare would be, he got onto my motorcycle. Because he kept talking about how hard it was for him to get a ride, I had nowhere to begin telling him the truth. When we stopped at the traffic light, I finally had a chance to speak. I began by asking him whether he heard about quitting the CCP. He said that only Falun Gong practitioners were talking about these sorts of things. I said, "You're right. But what they said is for your own good. If there is a catastrophe, you may be spared if you have quit the CCP." He said, "How can I do it? I don't think my supervisor would allow me." I told him that he didn't have to tell his supervisor and that he could do it using a pseudonym. He said, "Okay, please help me with a pseudonym." We finally arrived at his destination. He paid me and left. He shouted to me when he was two meters away, "What is my pseudonym?" I told him again. He said, "Okay, I won't forget it."

One day I was waiting for customers at the intersection of two roadways. A police officer came by and said he wanted a ride. On the way to his destination, I asked where he worked. He said he worked at the Public Security Bureau. I asked, "Do you often deal with Falun Gong practitioners?" He said that he had seen them in the past. I said, "Never do anything to hurt them." He said he didn't. Because he was the captain, he always told his subordinates not to hit Falun Gong practitioners. I started telling him about how Falun Gong has spread to over 80 countries in the world. I also told him about the fabricated "Self-immolation" incident in Tiananmen Square. When I tried to convince him to quit the CCP, he said, "I am a Party member. Can you choose a pseudonym for me?" When we arrived at his destination, he held my hands firmly and kept thanking me. I said, "There is no need to thank me. It is my Master who saves you. You should thank him." He asked if I meant Master Li, and said, "Thank you, Master!"

In 2008, as I was about to quit for the day, a police officer came by and asked me for a ride. He said that the place he wanted to go was about 600 to 700 meters ahead. When he was boarding, I asked him where he worked. He said he worked at a court police battalion. I then asked whether he had dealt with Falun Gong practitioners. He said, "Yes." I told him that Falun Gong practitioners are good people who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and that he should never do anything to hurt them. I told him about the popularity of Falun Gong in overseas countries and how practitioners have been viciously persecuted by the CCP. I also told him about the fabricated "Self-immolation" incident in Tiananmen Square. When I talked about quitting the CCP, he suddenly asked, "How can I keep my rice bowl [that is, 'make a living'] if I quit?" I told him that he could quit the CCP from his heart, as gods only look at one's heart. I also told him he could do it using a pseudonym.

When we arrived at his destination, he didn't want to leave. He wanted to finish listening to what I was telling him. Finally he said, "I'll quit with a pseudonym." He then held my hands firmly. I could feel that he was very sincere. He kept thanking me. I said. "If you want to thank someone, thank my Master." He then loosened his hands and took a step backward. He gave me a military salute and waved his hand bidding me farewell. I was moved from the bottom of my heart and said, "Thank you, Master, for saving him!"
In the kind of work I do, clarifying the truth requires efficiency and effectiveness. Sometimes I have only two or three minutes to clarify the truth. Although the time is limited and clarifying the truth is challenging within some time frames, we can still do a good job if we don't hold onto any human attachments. The way I do truth-clarification is very straightforward. I normally start by asking people whether they have heard about quitting the CCP. Then, within a very short period of time, I finish clarifying the truth. I find that if I have more time, I can send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors that hinder beings from quitting the CCP, and then start convincing them to quit. The result is very good. As practitioners, we shouldn't be attached to whether the people quit or not.

My understanding is that Master does everything for us. We just use our mouths and spread the truth. During the process of truth-clarification, I have encountered soldiers, cadres, 610 Office (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.) personnel, students, workers, lawyers, etc. One day I was trying to convince a lawyer to quit the CCP. He asked me, "Have you heard of Mr. Gao Zhisheng, the lawyer? I said I had. He said, "Mr. Gao is our role model, the pride and glory of our profession. Nowadays, the 610 Office doesn't allow us to take any Falun Gong cases. What they are doing is against the law." There are more and more people who know the truth and are waiting for Dafa practitioners to save them. If practitioners let go of their human attachments and go out to clarify the truth to sentient beings face-to-face, the evil will soon die.

There were times when my clarifying the truth to people didn't go well. There were times when the situation seemed to be dangerous, but Master has always helped me to defuse these situations. Although I still have many attachments, I think that as I keep cultivating in Dafa and embrace Master's mercy, I will eliminate them. I will do well in the three things and go home with Master.
