Swiss Media Report: Fasting for Freedom

Practitioners in Kreuzlingen held a day of fasting in connection with the worldwide hunger relay that had begun on February 5th of this year. During the 82 days of the continuous relay, 2,781 fasting days were held throughout the world. To alert people of the human rights problems in China, Erich Bachmann and the Chinese lady Wang Xiaoyang who studies in St. Gallen went on a 24 hour fast in Kreuzlingen. The objective and aim was to bolster the persecuted practitioners of Falun Gong living in China. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal on the Eve of Wen Jiabao's Visit to Germany

Before Wen Jiabao’s visit to Germany between September 13th and 15th, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group in Germany sent an open letter to the German Government, media, and all its citizens, appealing to them to pay attention to China’s human rights abuses. In the letter, practitioners mentioned Gao Zhisheng, a prominent Chinese lawyer and active human rights activist, who has been illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since August 15th, 2006. He wrote three open letters to CCP leaders to expose the brutal persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. -
Germany: Demonstration in Darmstadt Exposes Organ Harvesting from Practitioners in China

Darmstadt organised a demonstration exposing the organ harvesting from practitioners in China. Additionally, the organ harvesting and torture of practitioners in a cage was re-enacted. Falun Gong artists brought pictures that depict torture scenes suffered by Falun Gong practitioners. This demonstration was taking place in a busy pedestrian zone opposite the white tower. -
Germany: Candlelight Vigil During the “Long Night at the Museums” in Berlin

For a few years, Berlin has been staging an event called “Long Night at the Museums,” which took place for the 20th time on August 26th, 2006. This event drew quite a lot of people and not only citizens of Berlin, but also tourists. Therefore, a permit request for a Falun Gong information booth and a candlelight vigil at an advantageous location was filed. -
Germany: Informing the People about Organ Removals in China

An event called ‘China Time’ is scheduled to take place in Hamburg between September 13th and October 1st. A series of events has been planned to celebrate twenty years of friendship between the cities of Hamburg and Shanghai. Due to this event, Falun Gong practitioners have redoubled their efforts to bring to light the persecution of Falun Gong in China. -
Ireland: Rally Outside the Chinese Embassy to Protest against CCP's Detention of Lawyer Gao Zhisheng

Irish Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Ireland on the morning of August the 24th, 2006 to protest against the Chinese communist regime’s detention of Gao Zhisheng, a civil rights lawyer. An open letter addressed to the Chinese Embassy was read out in the rally and an excerpt is reproduced here. -
Poland: Parade and Protest before the 2006 Experience Sharing Conference

From August the 11th to the 13th 2006, in Poland’s capital Warsaw, Falun Dafa practitioners from Poland and other countries held a series of events to promote Falun Dafa and expose the persecution to the people of Poland. This was the first time European practitioners gathered together for such a large-scale activity in Warsaw. -
Germany: Revealing the Persecution of Falun Dafa to the People of Frankfurt

To mark the beginning of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, Falun Gong practitioners from Frankfurt held activities from July 20th until the 22nd at the Chinese Consulate and in the busy outdoor shopping area on Zeil Strasse in Frankfurt. Passers-by and visitors to the Consulate also received fliers and were asked to sign a petition to end the persecution. Many commented, “I can’t believe that this is happening in today’s world!” -
Czech Republic: The Chinese Communist Party's Crimes Exposed

On July 15th, 2006, some Czech Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in Hodonin city to expose the CCP’s political persecution against Falun Gong. The crime of illegally harvesting and selling Falun Gong practitioners’ organs exposed recently especially attracted the local people’s attention. Many people signed to express their support saying, “How come these kinds of people exist? How come they do such things?" -
Russia: Practitioners in St. Petersburg Rally to Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong

At the beginning of the suppression, Jiang Zemin issued an order to eradicate Falun Gong in 3 months. However, seven years have passed and practitioners inside and outside China have become more and more mature and steadfast during the course of their efforts to end the persecution. The persecution is doomed to fail and the CCP will collapse. -

Germany: North German and Hamburg Practitioners appeal at the Chinese Consulate

Hamburg practitioners protested at the Chinese Consulate on July 20th to mark seven years of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party in China. Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, chatted to passersby about the background to the persecution and also attempted to deliver a letter in the hope that the Consulate staff would accept it. -
Italy: Practitioners Stage a Protest against the Chinese Communist Regime’s Persecution
2006-08-10On July 20th, 2006, Italian Falun Gong practitioners organised various activities to mourn for the 2,920 Chinese practitioners persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist regime and to protest against the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioner initiated by the Jiang Zemin group and the Chinese Communist regime since July 20th, 1999. Practitioners staged protests at the Chinese Consulates in Milan and Florence as well as the Chinese Embassy in Rome respectively. Many practitioners came all the way from various places, even several hundred kilometers away, to participate in these activities. -
Israel: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest to Mark Seven Years of Persecution by the CCP

On July 20th, 2006, Israeli Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition and photo exhibition on Rabin Square in Tel Aviv to protest the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners collected several hundred signatures against the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. Some young Israelis also participated in the activity. -
