Ms Cao Yanzhuo and Other Practitioners On Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the local police have constantly harassed forty-three year old Ms. Cao Yanzhuo because she refuses to give up her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Ms. Cao was forced into a homeless situation, but she kept appealing for Dafa. On July 10, 2002, Cao Yanzhuo was reported to the police when she was exposing the persecution about Dafa. She was arrested and sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Re-education Camp, where she has been detained ever since. -
Practitioner Ms. Ren Shujie from Liaoning Province is at the Brink of Death from Torture

Ms. Ren Shujie was detained in forced labours camps for three years for cultivating Falun Dafa. She could not eat normally after returning home due to her mistreatment in the labour camps. She is now so weak that she is dying. She used to weight 80 kilograms (176 lbs.) but now weighs less than 40 (88 lbs.). Her life is ebbing away. -
Several Practitioners Arrested and Subjected to Brainwashing in Anhui Province
2005-07-09On April 19, police officers came and took Ms. Dai Gouqin, over 60 years old, away. Ms Dai protested with a hunger strike and was then taken to Heifei City No. 8 Hospital and given an injection against her will. The authorities failed to extort a "hospital fee" from her family members, so they had to release her. At 9:00 a.m. on May 8, about five or six officials again broke into her home and took her to the brainwashing centre. -
Urgent Appeal on Behalf of Ten Practitioners Who Have Been Arrested for Rescuing Ms. Gao Rongrong
2005-07-04Ms. Ma Lianxiao, a 59-year-old employee of the Liaoning Province Construction Academy of Science, benefited physically and mentally from practising Falun Gong. She was arrested in July 2003 and sentenced to eight years in prison. She was released only when she was close to death due to torture. After being subjected to torture several times, she was severely injured. She often felt lightheaded, her entire body trembled, and she could not walk steadily. In March, she was again arrested and taken to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Shortly afterwards it was discovered that she was no longer in Masanjia. When concerned people made inquiries, Masanjia authorities told them, "She was sent home already." Everyone looked for her everywhere, but no one could not locate her. Ms. Ma Lianxiao's whereabouts remain unknown. -

Ms. Li had been jailed in Masanjia for 6 months and she was tortured almost every day. After half a year in Masanjia, her weight fell from over 50 Kg to only about 20 plus Kg. Seeing that she was dying, the Labour Camp released her. One of the tortures she endured was called "Kick Face": Guards order criminal inmates to kick the practitioner in her face. -
Two Hundred Falun Dafa Practitioners Still Illegally Imprisoned in Shandong No. 2 Forced Labour Camp
2005-06-30Two hundred male Falun Dafa practitioners are still imprisoned in Shandong No. 2 Forced Labour Camp. The torture methods used there are ruthless. Dafa practitioners who dare to say "Falun Dafa is great!" are tortured with electric batons, deprived of sleep, hung up by their handcuffs, beaten with iron and wooden tools, stripped and exposed to the cold, or scratched, imprisoned in solitary confinement, forced to stand for extended periods, denied use of the toilet, given extensions to their prison terms, etc. Young and old, practitioners are ruthlessly persecuted mentally, physically, and financially. -
Junior High Student from Shandong Province Is Expelled from School for Reading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
2005-06-3015 year old Ms Duan Xirong is a junior high school student in Shandong Province. Her teacher slapped her face for possessing a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Not only did she physically assault her, but the principal and the local 610 Office expelled her from school. Miss Duan Xirong's parents have been sent to a forced labour camp for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, and her mother is currently jailed at the Jinan Forced Labour Camp. -
"610 Office" Personnel in Meizhou City Arrest Dafa Practitioners
2005-06-29At midnight on May 23, 2005, officials from the "610 Office" of Meizhou City, Guangdong Province broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Zeng Qinglin (who is over sixty years old). They ransacked his home and abducted him and his wife. Recently "610 Office" officials and police arrested many more practitioners. One time police went to a practitioner's home and asked him if Falun Dafa is good or not. If the answer was no, he would be released. Otherwise, he would be taken to a brainwashing class. -
Severe Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Guangyuan Jail
2005-06-28It was reported that under the order of the Sichuan Provincial Labour Camp Bureau, Guangyuan Jail launched a brutal persecution of steadfast Dafa practitioners. Mr. Xu Weidong did not obey the prison guard's orders, so he was hung up by handcuffs by a prison guard and was left in the pouring rain for two hours. Later, the chief of the fifth squadron and prison guards stripped off his clothes, leaving him in only his underwear. They then handcuffed him to an iron gate and forcefully put a prison uniform on him. Later Mr. Xu was dragged to the playground by criminal inmates. -
Online Petition Calling for the Immediate Rescue of Jiang Renzheng
2005-06-25Jiang Renzheng and his wife Guo Rui are Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese qigong practice, which is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. On March the 7th 2005, Jiang, Guo and their two little ones were deported from Germany to the People’s Republic of China. China, without exception, persecutes all those who practise Falun Gong. Germany refused asylum to this family, because the German authorities did not believe that this family would be in any danger. -
Atrocities in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp
2005-06-24Persecutors from the forced labour camp have beaten female inmates to death and raped some female inmates, which resulted in their becoming pregnant. These perpetrators conspired with the hospital, and the doctor fabricated medical documents. Male inmates were beaten to death then secretly buried. The labour camp authorities then publicly declared that the victims had escaped. During the morning of May 1, 2005, practitioner Ms. Wang Junhua, who was unjustly held at the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp, was forced to feed ostriches at a courtyard segregated by electrified wires. She did not return to her dormitory at noon as usual, and her current whereabouts are unknown. -
Urgent Call to Help Zhang Sanquan, Who is Near Death from Torture at the Baoding Forced Labour Camp
2005-06-23Mr. Zhang Sanquan went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in September 2004. The police subjected him to a torture instrument called "star over sky," which is a helmet-shaped instrument with nails inside. The abusers put it on Mr. Zhang's head, and he lost consciousness. When he awoke the next day, his head was covered with blood and had many holes caused by the nails. Later, the wounds festered and ulcerated. Later he was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In the forced labour camp, his health condition went from bad to worse. Recently he couldn't eat anything. Because he was so weak, his family members went to the camp to ask for his medical parole, which the camp authorities have refused to grant. -
Brainwashing Methods used in Shiliping Forced Labour Camp: Beating, Torture, and Psychotropic Drugs
2005-06-21Police officers in the Shiliping Forced Labour Camp, Zhejiang Province persecute detained Falun Gong practitioners using various torture methods, including injecting them with psychotropic drugs. The labour camp seeks to brainwash each newly arrived practitioner. The tactics they use are solitary confinement, beatings and drug injections. The police set the standard for determining that a practitioner has been "transformed" when there is a visible mental collapse. If a practitioner isn't affected mentally, the police would not consider the practitioner to be transformed. -
Ms. Jiang Hong from Hubei Province Was Arrested for the Seventh Time
2005-06-20On April 25, 2005 Gongan County policemen broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Jiang Hong and confiscated her personal property. They took her to the county detention centre to be persecuted. It has been reported that because of practising Falun Dafa and telling the truth of the persecution to the public, Jiang Hong has already been arrested and imprisoned seven times. -
Ms. Zhao Zhaoquan from Sichuan Province Tells of Her Own Persecution Experience
2005-06-17Ms. Zhao Zhaoquan, 65, is a retired teacher living in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. She started practising Falun Gong in May 1996. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, Zhao was detained four times, imprisoned three times, sent to a drug rehabilitation centre twice, sent to brainwashing sessions once, placed under house arrest once, and sent to a forced labour camp for two years. Zhao was fined 15,800 yuan and had 295 yuan stolen from her. Since November 2000, Zhao has only received 200 yuan a month from her retirement pension, allowing her only minimum daily expenses. The rest of her retirement pension was taken to pay off her "fines."
