  • Italy: Falun Gong Draws Attention at Multicultural Festival in Milan

    During the two weekends from the end of June to early July, Falun Gong practitioners in Milan, Italy, were invited to take part in local community events organized by the Festival Delle Diversita. The Falun Gong information booth attracted many people of different races to come and learn about the practice. People signed the petition protesting the persecution.
  • Finland: Member of European Parliament Calls for Support for Falun Gong

    The 12th World Village Festival in Helsinki was held on May 28 and 29. This year, Ms. Heidi Hautala, a Member of European Parliament (MEP) and the chair of its Subcommittee on Human Rights, was invited by the organiser to give a speech, in which she called for support for Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted in China.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Welcomed at the City of Dortmund International Arts & Culture Week

    From May 28, Dortmund celebrated "International Arts & Culture Week". Falun Gong practitioners participated in the opening ceremonies and in the exhibitions. The Falun Gong booth was only 20 metres away from the central stage. Practitioners originally from China, Germany, and Russia introduced Falun Gong to the visitors.
  • Italy: A Falun Gong Activity and Press Conference in Rome

    On June 1, 2011, the Twelfth District government in Rome and Falun Gong practitioners jointly held an activity entitled "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong" at the District Government Conference Hall. As a district government representative, Mr. Peter Roan Angelo Massaro, Chairman of the Sports and Culture Committee, attended the event.
  • Switzerland: The Art of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance Exhibition Held in Frauenfeld

    The Art of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance exhibition was held at the Glaspalast administration building in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. The exhibition lasted for two weeks between April 29 and May 14, 2011, attracting many people from all walks of life.
  • Bulgaria: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in Ruse

    On May 16, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners held an event in Ruse, the fifth largest city in Bulgaria, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and to wish Master Li happy birthday. Many people came to know about Falun Gong for the first time and expressed their stand against the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Russia: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in St. Petersburg

    On May 13, 2011, Falun Dafa practitioners in St. Petersburg, Russia celebrated World Falun Dafa on Children's Theatre Square. They held group practice, performed on waist drums and conducted other activities to introduce Falun Gong to the public.
  • Spain: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day and Introducing Falun Dafa

    To celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (May 13) this year, Falun Gong practitioners in Spain held various events to introduce Falun Gong and expose the persecution taking place in China. In Madrid, Falun Gong practitioners held group practice in the well-known Retiro Park and introduced Falun Gong to visitors.
  • Romania: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

    On May 13, the Romanian Falun Dafa Association held two events in Bucharest to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and to expose the ongoing brutal persecution of practitioners in China. At the Drumul Taberei, local practitioners set up a photo display depicting the spread of Falun Dafa around the world over the past 19 years.
  • Slovakia: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day, MEP Signs a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution

    On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia commemorated World Falun Dafa Day by holding an event in SNP Square in Bratislava. The passersby were drawn especially by the exercises, which the practitioners demonstrated. Many asked about the persecution in China and some signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • Germany: Information Day in Freiburg im Breisgau

    Practitioners held an information day activity in downtown Freiburg im Breisgau on Saturday, May 21, 2011. They continued their efforts to introduce Falun Gong and raise people's awareness about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over the past ten plus years.
  • Czech Republic: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and Continue Efforts to Raise Awareness

    May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day, also the 60th birthday of Master Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Gong. Practitioners in the Czech Republic held activities on May 14, 2011, at Wenceslas Square, one of the largest squares in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, to continue their efforts to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution.
  • Falun Dafa Practitioners in Europe Wish Revered Master Happy Birthday and Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

    On May 13 every year, Falun Dafa practitioners across the world send greeting cards and letters to Falun Dafa websites wishing revered Master happy birthday and celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. Greetings from practitioners in Europe are organised and posted. Only a small portion of the greetings received are translated and listed here.
  • Princess Michael: Shen Yun a ‘Marvellous Evening’

    HRH Princess Michael of Kent was among the special guests at the opening night of Shen Yun Performing Arts at The London Coliseum, on April 5. At a reception after the show, the Princess briefly addressed the audience of around 180 guests, saying it was a “great honour and a pleasure” to be there and that she was “completely obsessed” with Chinese culture.
  • London's West End Welcomes Shen Yun

    Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company opened its run of West End performances to a delighted audience in London on Tuesday, April 5. Actor Jamie Cho said that the performances were fantastic and the dances beautiful. “The dancers were great. The two singers were amazing—the tenor and the soprano.” He was also particularly taken by the performance on the two stringed erhu.
