    "The practice began in China and in 1992 it spread to the public. Since then, it has attracted 100 million Chinese people. Nevertheless, the leaders of the Communist Party did not like this. From their perspective, 100 million people was too many. As a result, the leaders of the Communist Party began to brutally persecute practitioners. This is the reason we have held these activities.”
  • UK: European Friends of Falun Gong holds Seminar in Houses of Parliament

    After an informal lunch, which gave UK Falun Gong practitioners a great chance to let important dignitaries know more about the persecution Falun Gong, the seminar presentations began. This part of the seminar was chaired by Iain Luke MP, a Member of UK Parliament who has worked hard for the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners.

  • Germany: A Picture Exhibition to Expose the Crimes of Jiang Zemin

    As part of the Global Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, a picture exhibition depicting Jiang’s crimes of genocide was held in Irlandgen, Germany. The dates of the picture exhibition coincided with the election of state senators. Many Chinese people were also in the city, at Siemens Hi-Tec Training Base.
  • Radio France Internationale (RFI): Falun Gong Practitioner Travels to Thirty Seven Countries to seek a Redress for the Cruel Murder of her Husband

    'After she left China for Australia, she devoted herself to calling for justice for her husband and campaigning against this brutal persecution. She has travelled to thirty-seven countries to tell her story and to call for justice from the international community. France is currently her 37th stop. Her cry for help concerns the murder of her husband and also targets Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the Chinese Communist Party.'
  • Two Reports from French Media about Falun Gong Practitioners' Activities

    "For the entire weekend, more that 10 people came to Clock Square in Avignon to practise Falun Gong. The reason was to let more people come to know Falun Gong. The government in Beijing has banned this meditation exercise because of the number of its' followers in China (100 million). The activities were also to show support for the Falun Gong practitioners who are currently being persecuted and tortured in China."

    As Luo Gan passed by he had a full view of the beautiful Falun Gong banners blowing in the wind. Journalists from Iceland's major media organisations were present. That night Iceland TV carried reports on this event letting more Icelandic people know about the horrific abuses of human rights that are happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China.

    '"Iceland has a legal and moral duty to prosecute forcefully and bring to justice persons that are guilty of systematic violations of international human rights," Adalsteinsson was quoted as saying...The group, whose followers practice meditation to improve their physical and mental well-being, say more than 1,600 members have been tortured or beaten to death in China during the crackdown.'
  • Iceland: Amnesty International Protest Luo Gan's Visit to Reykjavik

    According to the reports from Icelandic media, on August 7th, 2003, the Iceland branch of Amnesty International had planned to stage a demonstration in centre of Reykjavik, the Icelandic Capital, at 11:50 a.m. September 8th. The demonstration was to protest against the visit of Luo Gan, the head of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee and one of the accomplices in the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • "Iceland Review" Reports on Protests against Luo Gan

    The report went on to mention how Luo Gan attempted to export his suppression of freedom to the free land of Iceland and showed the true nature of this vicious regime that shamelessly acts like criminlas even in foreign countries: 'A journalist from the daily "Morgunbladid", who asked Gan a question about human rights, was surrounded by Chinese security guards immediately and transported from the premises.'

  • Photo Report: Swiss Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Press Conference in Geneva

    On the 4th of September 2003, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in Geneva, and announced that in order to be able to continue to speak on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners detained and tortured in China, Swiss citizens and victims of the persecution, have decided to take joint action against the Jiang regime to obtain compensation legally.
  • Ukraine: Dafa Practitioners Hold a Performance for Children

    On the 29th August, Dafa practitioners held a performance at a Children’s Home in Kiev. The performances included dancing accompanied by a traditional Ukrainian instrument, the Bantula, as well as several songs, some of which were composed by Dafa practitioners as well as traditional Ukrainian songs.
  • Russia: A Gift for Local Falun Dafa Practitioners

    On one occasion, a local T.V station interviewed a practitioner about our activity and also agreed to make a documentary on Falun Dafa. After a few days, the T.V station sent the finished documentary on tape to a practitioner, together with a gift. The gift was an ornate white jade plate with the words “I love Falun Dafa” written on it.
