  • United Kingdom: Leeds Activity Raises Awareness about Human Rights Abuses Against Falun Gong in China

    An activity was held in Leeds to let people know about the human rights abuses that Falun Gong practitioners are suffering at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many passers by signed a petition to show their support for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, showed their interest in the Falun Gong exercises and asked for information on free classes.
  • Norway: Falun Gong at The Large Health Fair in Oslo

    The Large Health Fair in Oslo, supposedly the biggest in Europe when it comes to the number of exhibitors and offers, took place from the 16th of November to the 18th of November. Falun Gong practitioners participated at the Fair with their own stand and three paintings from the Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition.
  • Czech News Agency: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest Against the Persecution in China

    The Czech News Agency reported on the 19th of November, that the European Celestial Marching Band, consisting of over eighty European Falun Gong practitioners, performed at the Old Town Square in Prague on the 17th of November. After the performance, they started a parade in protest against the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution against Falun Gong.
  • Germany: Exposing the Crimes Committed Against Falun Gong in China

    Many people waned to find out more when Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in downtown Bremen to promote the practice and expose the brutal persecution waged against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The practitioners set up poster display boards and handed out leaflets. They told people about the CCP's crimes of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
  • United Kingdom: Exposing the Persecution in Bradford City Centre

    On Saturday the 10th of November, Falun Gong practitioners from northern England went to Bradford city centre to promote the practice. Many people were shocked when they found out that a peaceful meditation practice had been banned in China and expressed their sympathy for those who have died as a result of the Chinese Communist Party's human rights abuses.
  • Germany: Promoting Falun Gong in the University Town of Tuebingen

    Falun Gong practitioners in the German town of Tuebingen exposed human rights violations in China by demonstrating the exercises to peaceful music, displaying poster boards and distributing flyers. A number of people expressed that the persecution in China is hard to believe, especially in the face of the serene and peaceful Falun Gong exercises.

    A Cambridge resident commented: "People all over the world know about the horrifying persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, including the horrific crime of organ harvesting from living practitioners. These are enough to make anyone angry. But in these art works you cannot find hatred, only the compassionate pledge for justice and forbearance."

    "A lady called Annie, who was married to a neurosurgeon at Sujiatun hospital told of her husband bringing home large sums of money. He often had nightmares and woke up drenched in sweat. Finally, her husband opened up to her and told her that the basement of the hospital housed a secret prison with thousands of inmates, all of them members of the forbidden Falun Gong movement. He told her that he had personally removed the corneas from thousands of the prisoners and that the Sujiatun hospital was treating the Falun Gong practitioners as a living organ bank."
  • Radio Sound Of Hope Switzerland: Going to Beijing But Not Without Human Rights

    About fifty people were gathered today in front of Zurich’s athletic arena in Switzerland in order to raise awareness about important human rights violations in China. They called for a boycott of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing because China has reneged on its promise to improve its human rights record. The Super-Decathlon, 2007, was held in the athletic arena with the slogan “Going to Beijing.”
  • Falun Dafa Information Centre: Olympic-Size Violations

    Beijing Olympic organizers have openly expressed a policy banning Falun Gong adherents from attending the 2008 summer Olympics, the Falun Dafa Information Centre reported Wednesday. Beijing's decision stands in stark violation to Articles 35 and 36 of China's own Constitution, which promise freedom of association and religious belief, as well as the International Olympic Committee's bylaws, which prohibit any form of discrimination - including that religious or political.

    On November 3rd 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Leipzig and the surrounding areas jointly held an information day. They exposed eight years of bloody persecution against Falun Gong in mainland China by displaying poster boards, distributing leaflets and talking to passers by.
  • Germany: People in Hamburg Support Falun Gong

    In the tent there was a long table with books, newspapers, magazines, Video-CDs in Chinese and German, and two petitions. One petition called for the architect of the persecution against Falun gong - former CCP head Jiang Zemin - to be brought to justice in a court of law, whilst the other called for an end to the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Austria: Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition Pieces Commended in Salzburg

    From November 9th to 11th, an international art exhibition was held in Salzburg. Artists from Europe and Asia displayed paintings, drawings, and sculptures. More than ten thousand people attended. Many said that Falun Gong practitioners' works were different from the others and they could feel the peaceful and benevolent energy in them.

    "Since July 1999, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners were arrested and sentenced to jail terms or administrative detention in re-education camps, and were imprisoned in psychiatric facilities. Detained Falun Gong practitioners are often victims of torture and abuse. Torture is a method to intimidate Falun Gong adherents and to force them to renounce their faith and no longer practise the meditative exercises. In protest of their situation and the miserable detention conditions, Falun Gong adherents regularly go on a hunger strike. This result’s often in maltreatment represented by force-feeding and forced labour."
  • United Kingdom: Cambridge Students Enjoy Falun Gong Exhibition

    Cambridge University students organised activities to ease the tension brought about by studying and allow students to have a broader understanding of the community. Falun Gong practitioners received heartfelt support when taking part in the event last year, so the organisers invited them again.
