Five Female Falun Gong Practitioners are Paraded Through the Streets in Chongqing City

On January 16, 2001, authorities from Tongliang County held a so-called "public trial" of the five practitioners. Using a method to publically demonise the practitioners that was popular during the Cultural Revolution, the authorities hung a plaque with the words "Falun Gong elements" around each practitioner's neck and paraded them through the streets in order to incite hatred against them. -
Over 100 Practitioners Still Being Held in Jilin Province Prison Need Our Help
2004-01-18Jilin Prison, also known as Jilin No. Two Prison, holds male practitioners sentenced there for more than ten years. The prison authorities have used the most inhumane tortures to persecute the practitioners. The following examples are tortures inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners -- not on the common prisoners. I heard policewoman Ms. Mao saying, "Captain Zhang instructed us to keep this practitioner hovering between life and death. She doesn't know what pain is! You must remember: you will only get her to renounce Falun Gong when you drive her close to a mental collapse." -
The Suffering of Zhengzhou City Dafa Practitioner Mrs Mao Qi and Her Family
2004-01-18In June 2001, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Mao Qi, a laid-off worker from Zhoukou City's Cotton Mill, was detained after she went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. Her mother was angry about her arrest, plus she was very ill. Later her mother passed away with a feeling of injustice in her heart. The political protection department of the Public Security Bureau, her workplace, and her neighbourhood administration office didn't allow Mao Qi to see her mother for one last time before she died. -
An Excellent Teacher, Mr. Ma Lizhi from Jiaonan City Dies of Torture
2004-01-17Policeman Zhuang Huaidou was a very vicious individual. He had beaten practitioners many times. Once, he handcuffed a practitioner for a long time. Even two years later, marks were still visible on this practitioner's wrists and he still suffered from numbness in his hands. Zhuang pulled Ma Lizhi's hands all the way up behind his back and cuffed them to the back of a chair. He then forced Mr. Ma to sit on the floor and swing the chair. This torture caused excruciating pain. Zhuang claimed, "Jiang Zemin does not allow you to practise! Whoever practises will be arrested!" -

2004-01-17This was a torture beyond human language. They put some medicine on me to continue their torture under the disguise of treating me. They again forced me to write the "four letters" which I signed under pressure. I now declare that it was against my own will and I was forced to do this. Afterwards, my heart was filled with sadness and sorrow that was beyond words. After that they didn't allow me to talk to anyone until August 2003. Staff member Li called me for a talk, and I told him that I had been tortured. He yelled at me "Who tortured you? Who witnessed it? If you don't accept our management, we will force you to!" -
A Torture Chamber Is Used in Sanshui Forced Labour Camp
2004-01-17There are four sub-sections at the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp. The Fifth Brigade of the third sub-section is called the "Special Brigade," and it is mainly used for detaining Dafa practitioners. During the periods of December 3, 2000 to January 22, 2003 and March 23 to September 13, 2003, a torture chamber was set up at the second sub-section and used to torture Dafa practitioners. The torture chamber was inside a hidden, high-walled, two-story building with an independent courtyard and had a guardroom 50 metres behind it . It's hard for outsiders to comprehend the brutality of the torture that occurred there. There were scores of Dafa practitioners tortured and made to suffer greatly. -

2004-01-16Ms. Chen Yanmei and Mr. Liu Chengjun, besides already having incapacitating gunshot wounds to his legs, were subject to more savage and extended beatings by the police than other practitioners. Our sources indicated that, after the judge announced the sentences, the bailiffs took the fifteen practitioners to a room where several bailiffs grabbed each practitioner's hand, handcuffed them behind the back, and forced his/her fingerprints on the legal documents as a legal form of acceptance to the verdict while telling each practitioner, "It is you who put your fingerprints on the legal documents." -

2004-01-16The detention centre only provided one corn bun and some preserved vegetables for every meal. Sometimes the muffin was partially uncooked and had mouse droppings inside. She was often sworn at by the police in the centre, was forced to do hard labour, and not allowed to practise any Falun Dafa exercises. She was then transferred to the brainwashing centre for a 5-month term. Shang Yunhang the head of the Political Security Division of Shenzhen City along with a few other people searched and harassed her, looking for Falun Dafa books. -

2004-01-16During her ten days of detainment in the labour camp, it is impossible for anyone to imagine how ruthlessly the labour camp must have tortured her. She was sent home when she was about to die. Two days after she was sent home she was dead. At the time of her death, Na was still detained in the brainwashing centre. The family asked the centre to let Na go home to see his wife for the last time. Even under such circumstances the "610 Office" and the Town government firmly refused. -

2004-01-15On December 29, 2001, Yilan County police conducted a mass arrest of practitioners. In order to avoid further persecution, Song and his wife had to leave home, leaving his 76-year-old mother and 16-year-old daughter alone. While they were wandering around, the police station police forced his village government to finance their hunt for Song. A criminal in the cell, Liu Xian, called the staff many times, and told them that Cui was in critical condition. The heartless policemen did not care and didn't bother to come. I stood by the door and yelled, "Someone is about to die. Do you care?" At that moment, I thought about the days that I spent with her. I saw her solid faith in Dafa.
