Dafa Practitioner Li Jun was sentenced to seven years imprisonment solely for producing information revealing the true situation of the persecution of Falun Dafa. He felt he had a responsibility to raise the awareness of the Chinese people, to show how they have been duped and lied to by the vicious state propaganda. For this act of courage he lost his life. -
The Ceaseless Torture of Dafa Practitioners In the Dalian Labour Camp
2004-01-30At the Dalian Labour Camp in Liaoning Province, Falun Gong practitioners are brutally tortured. However, because information from inside is tightly blocked, outsiders barely know anything about the true situation.The police force practitioners to do hard labour twelve to sixteen hours a day and forbid them from talking to each other. Police direct inmates to persecute those very determined practitioners. If they refuse to be "brainwashed," then they are forced to stand for extended periods of time without moving. Some were forced to stand for six days straight. -
Ms Chen Xiaojuan Stripped of All Human Rights and In Very Weakened State
2004-01-30Ms Chen Xiaojuan, is a 39 year old Falun Dafa practitioner from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. In January 2001, she was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment for distributing truth-clarifying materials.Because she was on hunger strike for more than 40 days, she was sent to Jiangxi Changzhen prison hospital, where she was brutally force fed, causing her to vomit a large amount of blood. The hospital says she is in critical condition, but the prison police made a public statement, "Chen Xiaojuan has not been 'transformed,' so we will not release her. -
Dafa Practitioners Persecuted by Wuhan City's Central China Normal University
2004-01-30Many people in Wuhan City's Central China Normal University practise Falun Gong and have been persecuted very severely since July 20, 1999. Dafa practitioner Wang Haoyun was tortured to death in the school of arts and sciences filing room. So far we have information concerning four people who were sentenced to forced labour camps. Fourteen other practitioners were thrown into detention centres, and about 23 more were forced into brainwashing centres. -
Ireland: Fears are Rising for the Life of Dun Laoghaire Student Liu Feng

Dun Laoghaire student Liu Feng was illegally arrested following his return to China during the 1999 Christmas break because he peacefully appealed against the persecution of Falun Gong. It is said that Liu Feng has been released but is currently in hospital. This only occurs when a labour camp detainee has been tortured or is close to death, and prison authorities intend to shift the blame away from themselves. Because of this, practitioners believe that Liu Feng is in serious danger. -

A Middle School Student is Detained in Beijing for Clarifying the Truth About Falun Gong
2004-01-29During the detention period, authorities extorted 500 yuan from Li Dan's family. The authorities demanded 1,000 yuan; however, because her family is impoverished, her relatives only gave them 500 yuan. The policemen also threatened Li Dan's baby sister and asked her who had taught Li Dan to practise Falun Gong. Because Li Dan's sister is so young, she told the officers that Dafa practitioner Huang Wenshu had taught Li Dan. The policemen asked the sister to lead them to arrest Huang Wenshu, and Huang Wenshu subsequently was sentenced to two years of forced labour. -
Sixty-Year-Old Lady from Inner Mongolia Dies After Being Released from Labour Camp
2004-01-28While in detention the police tortured her relentlessly. A once healthy elderly lady was turned into a person plagued with illnesses. The labour camp hospital diagnosed her illness as breast cancer. Not wanting to take any responsibility, the camp released her on medical parole. After Ms. Wang returned home, she went to her work unit to ask for her pensions. However, her work unit colluded with the "610 Office" and heartlessly again sent her to labour education. -
Brutal Beating, Force-Feeding and Poisonous Injections -- Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms Meng Xiao in Chengdu City
2004-01-28The authorities for Jintang County Detention Centre asked the Chengdu City "610 Office" if Meng Xiao was to be released. The response was, "Just let her die at the hospital or detention centre. Don't release her!" As a result, the abuse against her escalated. Jiang Zengyao, head of the detention centre, said, "It's impossible for Meng Xiao to get out on hunger strike; if she is going to die, she'll have to die at the detention centre or the hospital." At the hospital, numerous police officers tied up Meng Xiao and gave her injections. -
The Dalian Labour Camp Exploits Dafa Practitioners to Earn More than 1,500,000 Yuan a Year
2004-01-28For example, practitioners could not talk, nor could they move their lips, close their eyes, cross their legs, or even have their legs touching each other when sitting. They were rarely allowed to use the toilet during the work time and they had no more than 10 minutes to use the facilities, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If they had an urgent need to use the toilet, it had to be authorised by the room leader, the team leader, and the Captain. There was no time allowed for bowel movements, which was said to be "too time consuming." Practitioners had to wait until bedtime. As a result, many people developed constipation, haemorrhoids and were in great pain. -

Dr. Li Zhigang is Illegally Sentenced for Five Years and Tortured in the Military Prison in Chenzhou City
2004-01-27The prison refused to allow his family to visit him, because he refused to give up his belief. Recently someone informed his family that Dr. Li could be dead if his family couldn't find a way to save him. Dr. Li's mother and two sisters live in Changsha city, which is 300 kilometers (186 miles) away from where he was captured. It is very difficult for his elderly mother to go back and forth, and his family has already spent all its saving. With grief Dr. Li's mother said, "My son was practising Falun Gong to be a good person. How could this become a crime?" -
Liaoning Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Manli Sentenced to Eight Years Imprisonment
2004-01-27In July 2000 she was sent to Liaoyang City Forced Labour Camp (namely, Shizuizi), where she was forced to do hard labour for 18 to 20 hours every day. In order to visit her, her husband often rode a bicycle to the Camp and waited by its entrance, with the hope that he could see her, however, no matter how hard Zhou begged, jail guards including Sun Aiqin did not allow them to see each other, the reason is because Gao is steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong. -
Imprisoned Twice in Four Years for Her Beliefs
2004-01-27Around February 2000, during a public criminal trial at the Zhongfang County Police Department, Ms. Xiao was put on display with a large cardboard sign hung from her neck. The local television station broadcast the trial, in which Ms. Xiao was subjected to humiliation and personal insults. On May 18, 2003 the People's Court of Zhongfang County sentenced Ms. Xiao to three years of imprisonment.
