Officials from Shijiazhuang Women’s Forced Labour Camp Detain Ms. Zhu Lihua Beyond Term Expiration

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Lihua has been persecuted many times during the past ten years. She was sentenced to forced labour in September 2009. After her term expired on March 22nd, 2011, officials from Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp extended her term. Prior to the detention, Ms. Zhu Lihua was a very healthy individual, but the mistreatment and torture in the labour camp led to numerous illnesses including heart disease, enlargement of the lymph nodes and various areas of swelling on the body. Nonetheless, the guards still forced Ms. Zhu to stand for extended periods of time, watching others labour. When she was too weak to stand, the guards forced her to sit on the cold cement floor, and prohibited her from using the toilet. -
Mr. Li Shigang from Jilin City Greatly Harmed Physically and Mentally As a Result of Being Arrested and Abused Five Times
2011-06-04Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Shigang was recently released. While detained he was greatly harmed both physically and mentally. As a result he now has difficulty walking, his legs are numb, and he experiences dizziness. He lives a miserable life. Over the past 12 years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution, Mr. Li has been arrested and detained five times. He was tortured, which led to his disability. He was twice given forced labour terms. One for one and a half years, and another for two years. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured with Forced Administration of Drugs at Fanjiatai Prison
2011-06-03A major method of persecution utilised on Falun Gong practitioners at Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, Hubei Province is forced administration of drugs and other toxic substances. There are many types of drugs or other chemicals administered to practitioners, ranging from tinctures, jellies, powders, sprays (pesticides, sulphides), and biological pathogens added to medicines that damage internal organs. Such drugs or other chemicals have often led to illnesses including heart failure, kidney failure, and stroke. The drugs also damage the nervous system, the entire digestive system, cause skin disease, and result in other severe health problems. The drugs have been known to come from the higher officials or prison hospital. -
Terminally Ill Practitioner Ms. Yang Guixia Tried by Gaoxin District Daqing City Procuratorate
2011-06-03Ms. Yang Guixia was arrested by police while she was giving out Falun Gong materials on March 2nd, 2011. Her home was ransacked, and she was tortured during interrogation and detained for nearly two months. Her physical condition deteriorated as a result of the persecution. Ms. Yang's life is in danger. Her family unsuccessfully sought help for her release for two months and are now physically and mentally drained. On April 28th, the Gaoxin District Court went so far as to put her on trial her despite her critical physical condition. -
Practitioner Ms. Zhu Jinzhong from Shunyi District, Beijing Arrested and Persecuted
2011-06-03On April 26th, several police and officials broke into the home of practitioner Zhu Jinzhong. They ransacked her home and arrested her. Ms. Zhu was taken to the Tongzhou District Detention Station. In March 2008 (prior to the Beijing Olympics), she was arrested by police and her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Daxing Womens' Labour Camp for two years of forced labour “re-education.” Ms. Zhu refused to give up her Falun Gong practice, so she was taken to the Tumuji Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia to undergo brutal persecution. She was subjected to various torture methods there, including: Hung up, "death bed", electric shock, violent force-feedings, overexposure to the sun, handcuffed, beaten with rubber batons, kicked in sensitive body parts and deprived of the use of the toilet. -
A Family Under Persecution: Three Brothers from Shandong Province Arrested Again
2011-06-03On May 13th, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Guo Jiahong, Mr. Guo Jiafu and Mr. Guo Jiasheng, three brothers were taken away from home by officers from the Domestic Security Team. The youngest of the three brothers, Mr. Guo Jiasheng had been previously arrested and detained on October 28th, 2002. Not knowing his son's whereabouts, father Mr. Guo Huiming died from grief and stress on February 11th, 2003. Mr. Guo Jiasheng was later sentenced to ten years in prison in August 2003. His mother Ms. Cui Zhimin could not bear the severe mental anguish and died on December 14th, 2004. The other two brothers were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour in 2007. -
Music Teacher Injected with Unknown Drugs Lost His Memory for Seven Years
2011-06-02Mr. Fu Yao, a music teacher at Nongfeng Middle School in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, was persecuted several times by the communist regime for practising Falun Gong. The police rounded him up using firearms in 2002. He was arrested again in 2004, taken to a mental hospital, and injected with unknown drugs. He was treated as a psychotic patient and locked in a dark room with an iron gate and a window. Much of his memory was lost for seven years. His wife was sentenced to prison. -
More Than One Hundred Workers Step Forward to Protect a Falun Gong Practitioner
2011-06-02On May 12th, when over ten police officers went to a factory to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Tian Shihong, more than a hundred workers stood up to them. Then, the entire group went over to stop the police, saying, “He’s just doing his job here. Why are you arresting him?!” The police could not say anything to justify their actions. Some of the workers demanded, “You’ve put handcuffs on him. Where is your arrest warrant?” They said, “You are just like bandits, doing evil in broad daylight!” They also insisted that the police take off the handcuffs. The police had to leave empty handed. -
Pan Lingyun of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2011-06-02Practitioner Ms. Pan Lingyun, in her thirties, from Zunyi City in Guizhou Province, was sentenced to three years in prison on March 18th. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel have sent her to a labour camp and a brainwashing centre. Police arrested Ms. Pan Lingyun on November 1st, 2010 on her way home from work. They took her house keys from her bag, barged into her house and confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong and a computer, and then arrested her. They recorded that she had more than 10,000 Falun Gong related items. They took her mother, Ms. Zhao Zhenshu, into custody at the same time. Both mother and daughter were detained in the “learning class,” where they were made to undergo brainwashing and were further persecuted in Banshanshuiku, Zunyi City. -
Yang Guizhi, Formerly a School Principal, Has Been Persecuted Several Times for Her Belief in Falun Gong
2011-06-02Ms. Yang Guizhi is about 53 years old. She used to be the principal of a middle school. She was a great teacher and a great role model. She was repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because she refused to give up her belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. About six or seven years ago, Ms. Yang was arrested and imprisoned in the detention centre. On April 18th 2011, she was arrested again and imprisoned at the Wudan Detention Centre. She started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was inhumanely force-fed, and her condition is now critical. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Song Huilan Facing Amputation; Detention Centre Officials Dodge Responsibility
2011-06-01Police again arrested Ms. Song Huilan on December 13th, 2010. While in Tangyuan Detention Centre she was badly beaten by police and injected with an unknown drug. After the injection she was in agony, repeatedly rolled over on the floor, and was unable to speak. After two months of detention, she had trouble remembering things; her legs and feet turned black; and one of her lower legs has gangrene and the bones are exposed. She faces the possibility of amputation. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yuan Yongwen Passes Away After Being Tortured to Critical Condition
2011-06-01On April 21st, 2010, practitioner Ms. Yuan Yongwen was released after she became paralysed and fell unconscious because of torture she suffered in Yangma Prison in Jianyang City. She passed away on May 7th. Staff at Jianyang Yangma Prison and Chengdu Police Hospital carry full responsibility for her death. In March 2008, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong, Yuan Yongwen was reported to the police by someone who had been deceived by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda. On March 26th, 2008, the police arrested her. Shortly after, she was sentenced to a three-year prison term and taken to the Jianyang Yangma Prison. -
The Horrifying Facts Surrounding Mr. Li Zaiji’s Death
2011-06-01Li Zaiji was the first Falun Gong practitioner in Jilin City, Jilin Province, to be tortured to death. He was sent to Huanxiling Forced Labour Camp in October 1999 and died on July 8th, 2000. The coroner had all his organs removed before hastily getting the camp guards to have his body cremated. Li Zaiji suffered tremendously at the hands of the labour camp guards and detainees. He once told his wife that the labour camp was not a place for human beings. When Mr. Li’s wife went to the Death Investigation Centre, she noticed his body had undergone cosmetic repair and looked beautified. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured in Heizuizi Labour Camp in Changchun City
2011-06-01Practitioner Ms. Bai Yun, 61, was taken to the labour camp on February 25th, 2011. Liu Ying and four other guards tortured her on February 28th. They beat her, swore at her, slapped her in the face, kicked her in the abdomen, and electrically shocked her naked body. As a result, Ms. Bai had severe pain in her abdomen and her back was severely injured. She also had a lump on her forehead the size of an egg. After Ms. Bai screamed in pain, guards sealed her mouth with tape and tied her onto the so-called "death bed". She was put on the death bed again on March 9th, and her limbs were stretched out. Because of this torture, Ms. Bai had severe pain in her abdomen and back and could not stand up straight. -

2011-05-31The Communist Party arrested about 10,000 practitioners before the 2008 Olympics Games. More than 20 people died in custody during that time. My husband was sent to the Beijing Forced Labour Dispatch Division on May 13th, 2008, where 12 police officers shocked him with ten electric batons. After he lost consciousness they doused him with cold water and resumed the brutality when he came to. I was taken to taken to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. My mouth was repeatedly cut with the edge of a large spoon; there was blood all over the tile floor. A guard then abraded my bleeding mouth with a coarse rope and clawed my face numerous times. They also force-fed me drugs.
