Li Zhiqin from Xingtai City, Hebei Province Beaten to Death Three Years Ago; Family Has Nowhere to Go to Appeal for Justice

My husband Li Zhiqin practised Falun Gong and was brutally beaten by police. He died outside of our hometown three years ago. My family's financial situation has suffered as a result, and we can't even pay the 3,000 yuan temporary attorney fee. We appealed to the upper levels, but they all conspire with each other, and I have nowhere to go. -
Mr. Niu Jinye on Hunger Strike for Nearly a Year at a Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province
2011-06-11On December 9th, 2009, officials of the Zichuang District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) arrested Mr. Niu Jinye, 43, for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. He was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour and is being detained in the Shandong Province Second Men's Forced Labour Camp. He began a hunger strike to protest his detention and brutal torture in July 2010. He is currently very weak. -
Some Details About the Persecution of Falun Gong in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison
2011-06-11The ninth and eleventh wards of Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison are places where the guards attempt to forcibly “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioner Ms. Sun Jin was forced to sit on a stool for two weeks. She was forced to sit without moving for twenty-two hours a day, causing both sides of her buttocks to develop festering wounds. Her left toe was stepped on and the criminals kicked her spine, causing it to swell. Due to the abuse and mental pressure, Ms. Sun signed a statement to give up her belief on September 1st, 2009. -
Ms. Wang Keju Passed Away in 2010 While Two of Her Daughters in Prison Are Not Informed
2011-06-11Ms. Wang Keju went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong in 2000. Since then, Ms. Wang was continually harassed by the authorities. One night in 2001, the village party secretary and others climbed over her garden wall, broke into her home and ransacked it. In 2005, she was taken to the Linyi Brainwashing Centre and detained for two weeks. Two of Ms. Wang's daughters were sentenced to eight years' imprisonment in 2004. Due to the constant harassment and physical abuse Ms. Wang had endured over the past decade, she passed away on February 19th, 2010. Her daughters still have not been informed of their mother's death. -
Already Disabled from Previous Abuse, Mr. Li Shigang from Jilin City Is Again Arrested and Tortured
2011-06-10Falun Gong practitioner Mr Li Shigang, 43, was arrested by police who broke into his home at around 6:00 a.m. on April 28th. According to sources, Mr. Li is currently detained in Jilin City Detention Centre. When he was brought to the detention centre, he was handcuffed, his mouth was stuffed with something, and there was a sack over his head. Moreover, the police held his head down, making it difficult for him to breathe. An insider said that his lower back and legs are now injured from the torture, and he is unable to walk. Mr. Li has been arrested five times since the Chinese Communist regime began its suppression of Falun Gong in July 1999. He was put through all kinds of torture, and became disabled as a result. He was sentenced to forced labour twice and went through unimaginable torture and pain. -
Husband Files Lawsuit Against Police Who Wrongly Arrested His Wife Liu Yujing
2011-06-10Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Yujing was arrested by police on November 16th, 2010. She was tried by the Shizhong District Court on May 6th. Ms. Liu's husband, Mr. Tian Fengyu, presented an indictment to the court on May 25th. He filed a lawsuit against the police officers who violated the law by ransacking Ms. Liu's home, taking her way and presenting false evidence. -
Ms. Cheng Liyun Tortured and the Victim of Extortion by Acheng District Police in Harbin
2011-06-10Since 1999, Ms. Cheng Liyun has been arrested multiple times, as well as been the victim of extortion by Acheng District and Harbin officials. She has been detained at the Acheng District 2nd Detention Centre, Songfengshan Police Station, Acheng District Police Bureau, and Harbin 2nd Women's Detention Centre. Her family has been anguished because she has been persecuted. Her husband could not bear it anymore and petitioned for a divorce at the Acheng District Court on August 9th, 2008, and again in May 2010. -
Persecution of Elderly Ms. Li Zefen, from Huili County, Sichuan Province
2011-06-10Elderly Falun Gong practitioner Li Zefen was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong at the gate of Dongjie Kindergarten on March 28th, 2011, when she was followed by two men. She was later arrested by police and taken to a police station. Police officers Wang Zifa and Wen Xiaohong confiscated her house key. Police ransacked Ms. Li's home. She has since been detained at Huili County Detention Centre. Because Ms. Li practises Falun Gong and has told people the truth about Falun Gong, she has been arrested by police, detained, sent to forced labour camps many times and persecuted for the past ten years. -
Practitioner Mr. Jiao Lin from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province Subjected to Physical Abuse and Torture Again; Family Files Complaint
2011-06-09In September 2010, Mr. Jiao Lin from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province was arrested by local police for speaking with people about Falun Gong. He was physically abused and tortured until he was in critical condition. The police had to ask his family to take him home. When his health improved a bit, local police took him into custody again and Mr. Jiao was subjected to even harsher abuse and mistreatment. His family was furious upon seeing him in court, his body littered with bruises and other injuries. They are determined to hold the perpetrators accountable. -
Suffering Mental Collapse After Abuse, Nurse Is Rendered Homeless and Wanders the Streets
2011-06-09Ms. Wan Lihua, 45, suffered a mental collapse after abuses in the Shayang Forced Labour Camp. The guards attempted to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] her using torture and interrogation. The guards shocked her with several electric batons. They connected wires to both of her hands and forced the electric current through her body. She lost consciousness as a result of the shocks. When she came to and opened her eyes, the guards shocked her with electric batons again. They repeatedly shocked her and she couldn't remember how many times she fainted. More than 10 days of brutal torture and deprivation of sleep severely damaged her mental faculties. Her hair has turned completely white. She lost the ability to take care of herself and wanders the streets. -
Joy After Gaining a New Life Turns to Sorrow after Being Persecuted
2011-06-09I am in my late fifties and was a witness to crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, when I heard about Mr. Liu Shehong being arrested, I was deeply shocked. I met Mr. Liu Shehong around four years ago. He came to my home to fix my television. He looked to be in his early 30s, but was in his 40's and was strong and glowing with health. He was polite and worked quickly. In no time he fixed my television. He appeared to be a very good man. I was told that after Mr. Liu was detained on May 4th, 2008, after he painted the words "Falun Gong is good" on a wall. Mr. Liu was sent to the Hewan Forced Labour Camp in Wuhan City. -
Account of Persecution Suffered by Ms. Wang Suoxian, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Wuhan City
2011-06-09On May 12th, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Suoxian was arrested by local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) personnel and taken to the brainwashing centre near Boquan Farm. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Wang has been arrested many times. In March 2004, Wang Xuoxian was arrested and taken to the Sandian Brainwashing Centre, where she was forced to stand and not allowed to sleep, to coerce her into writing another “guarantee” that she would give up Falun Gong cultivation. When she cried out loud, the guard kicked her in the legs, causing such pain that her whole body trembled. -
Mr. Chen Yuemin Passes Away After Being Persecuted for Many Years
2011-06-08Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chen Yuemin was arrested, detained, and tortured for over ten years for believing in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. In 2001, he was sentenced to five years in prison to be served at the Xinmi Prison in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. When he was on the verge of death, he was released. After his release, he was constantly harassed and unable to recover his health. He passed away on April 26th, at the age of 48. -
Wuhan Domestic Security Division Persecutes Falun Gong Systematically and Recklessly
2011-06-08Eleven Falun Gong practitioners in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, were taken away from their homes and workplaces on the morning of April 20th. All of the arrests were carried out covertly, and all of the victims’ homes were ransacked. One of the 11 arrested practitioners, Mr. Feng Zhen once served seven years in prison for his belief in Falun Gong. -
Middle School Teacher from Mengyin County, Shandong Province Sent to Forced Labour Camp Again
2011-06-08Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yi Shuling, 42 years old, is a former teacher. She has stayed away from home for many years to avoid the persecution. When Ms. Yi went to Mengyin County Hospital on March 4th to take care of her cancer-patient father she was arrested. The next day she was sent to Linyi Detention Centre and was sentenced to 18 months of forced labour in Shandong Province Second Women’s Forced Labour Camp a month later. While there, someone put sleeping pills and unknown substances into her food.
